Absolutely loved the prompt customer service

I absolutely loved the prompt customer service by Chris as he is super responsive and was available 24 / 7, which I found to be exceptional. Rented a home for two months in New York using this service as was pleasantly surprised to see reasonable prices and I'm use to paying high fees on booking.com or other platforms airbnb etc attach a 18 - 20% fee when I rent. All prices on this site were displayed upfront (so no surprises) and the fees were very reasonable..atleast I felt so..two things I really liked..I was able to pay using my bank account so saved on fees and was presented with a lease agreement at confirmation, which helped me feel protected, considering I had to cough up a few thousand dollars! Will definitely recommend to friends...

Had a very interesting experience and Chris was awesome as he helped me navigate the process. A host I sent a few requests to was trying to price gouge me for a 2 month stay in Miami. I emailed customer support and Chris responded promptly. They ended up removing host from their site and hooking me up with an apt in Miami with a great host. Appreciate the company looking out for me. Cheers

Scam

Be careful. They are scammers. I spent a month looking for a place to live. It would be better if they cancelled it. / Secondly, every time the owner writes that his apartment is 3-5k more expensive, then you rent it for 5, he says I will rent this apartment for 8k. Just don't waste your time with them.

My Deposit Refund

I rented an apartment through Housestay, and moved out by the time the pandemic got started. Housestay tried to reach me to send me my deposit back, but I didn't have access to the communication at that time because of the locked down situation. I came back after a year and reached out to Housestay to get my deposit back, and even though it was a long time, they were very helpful to lookup my account and get the paperwork started to process my refund back. It took a little while to finally get my deposit, but that is understandable to go through the processes to reclaim the refund after that long time. The guy named Chris from Housestay was very helpful and responsive throughout the whole process, and kept me updated on the status of the process and answered all of my questions promptly. Thanks Chris!

The perfect way to find high-quality


The perfect way to find high-quality temporary housing!! I was displaced due to COVID and needed to find a clean, safe, and modern apartment for a few months... after looking on airbnb, craigslist, and a few other sites I came across HouseStay.

I was able to find the perfect home that meet all of my needs and was able to stay below my budget, I was not able to see the property in person due to COVID but the property had a 3D virtual tour so I was able to see exactly what it looked like! Unlike some other sites the unit had actual photos of the unit, so I got to see the exact apartment I would be moving into... and to my surprise when I moved in it was exactly as advertised and actually even nicer than than it was displayed in the photos and 3D tour!!

As COVID dragged on I ended up needing to extend my stay for several months, which was incredibly easy to do though their platform... and if I ever had any questions their support team got back to me immediately. My host was also very attentive and resolved any issue that came up within 24 hours.

All in all, I would recommend HouseStay to anyone who is in need of temporary housing, and I will definitely be using them in the future...

HouseStay Has Been Great To Work With - 100% Reccomend Them!!

HouseStay has been great to work with, they make the process so easy for hosts and tenants! I have only had great tenants come from HouseStay who were a joy to have stay at our apartments.

I would highly recommend HouseStay to any host if they are looking for mid to long term tenants without any of the hassle or stress that comes along with it (vetting tenants, collecting rent payments, etc)!!

I just recently used house stay


I just recently used house stay platform for my relo clients for furnished short term rental. So far I had great experience with them. I was skeptical from the beginning but along the road Chris was very helpful with prompt communication, highly responsive and great attitude, accommodated my clients who had the tight budgets from their company. Highly recommend them for short term furnished rental/corporate rentals.

Best Host-Jim Patton

I've had many wonderful hosts but none have been in the league of Jim Patton. Jim goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have everything they need. 100% reliable. Immediately responsive, friendly, and caring. His motto, "I wouldn't rent a place where I wouldn't want to lay my own head," truly expresses the quality of his apartments. Conveniently located, my apt was within driving distance to anywhere I needed to be. My wife and I have made a new friend named Jim Patton and we can't wait to be back in LA to visit our home away from home.

It was absolutely fantastic, Housestay and especially Chris from Housestay made sure I found the best accommodation and helped me throughout my stay with every single need. I just referred my client to HouseStay

I just referred my client to HouseStay. We had no sooner begun looking to buy when he decided to rent since he had become so tired of staying in hotels while we looked. It had only been 3 weeks but having to search, book and check in and out of hotels and AirBnB's every week simply got exhausting. I know, I commuted between the Bay Area and LA for over a year staying in hotels and Airbnb's. I just wanted my stuff in one place and was tired of lugging my suitcase back and forth. So I understand.

As a Realtor, working hard to find the right place for my client, I was very happy when he asked if I knew of any short term rentals. I was very excited to say that I did. He was just as happy and relieved as I.

Our search together will now be much less stressful and he will have a place to hang his hat until we find that perfect place.

housestay- a trustworthy company

it was the best choice to rent a house in LA for 3 months thru housestay. the company arranged everything i needed. the agent was quick to arrange anything i needed help with for example, a new mattress. even after the moveout, housestay was perfect in handling the security deposit. thank you.

Fantastic service! Highly recommended

Chris & the HouseStay team helped my husband & I find wonderful homes between our relocation from NYC to LA. Rather than staying in "Corporate Accommodation", we really wanted to find a place that we could call "home" for a few months and we were incredibly lucky to find HouseStay. Chris went above and beyond, working directly with my husbands HR & Finance departments directly so we did not have to worry. Even when we had to extend our stay an extra month, Chris found a wonderful option for us. The homes we stayed in were lovely, everything we needed was already in place. Communication was excellent, with Chris checking in on us to ensure everything was going smoothly. If you need a place to stay, do not hesitate to get in touch with HouseStay. Highly recommended and would absolutely use their service again. A big thank you to the HouseStay team for helping our move to the West Coast be so comfortable & easy!

Invasive, Incompetent and Unprofessional

I found this company to be incompetent, frustrating, and a bit creepy. I had multiple issues with them from the start- when I rejected a request the first email I received was questioning that and pointing out that the listing was showing available on my airbnb page. Since I had never provided my airbnb link, I found that creepy and invasive and just weird that they had gone out of their way to find it. Round 2 someone inquired about renting and asked to see the place. I immediately replied and told them yes- I was available that evening and the next day- since I was leaving for a work trip Sunday. two days later I received an email from the same guy who sent the creepy "I'm watching your airbnb email" saying I needed to respond to the request. To which I politely pointed out I did. Through this process, I learned that unlike airbnb, its not direct messaging. Both mine and the renters' messages were going straight to the "representative". And he chose what to pass along (or didn't even notice there was a message to pass along...) When we finally (after an entirely unnecessary amount of back and forth with a middle man) decided on a time for them to come see it, I was informed a representative from Housestay would meet us there. What? To babysit? To make sure we didn't make any secret deals on the sly? The best part was, apparently the renters were planning on coming at 11am and then were told the time was changed to 1pm- which wasn't a time the wife was available. When I met the husband and he apologized that she wasn't there and said she had planned her day around the "original" time of 11, I was dumbfounded- since I told the company anytime between 10-3 worked for me. Basically, the timing was all arranged for the convenience of their representative. Who was then 20 minutes late and missed the whole thing anyway.

There were a few other weird things, but really the highlight of their gross incompetence and invasion of privacy came after I deactivated my account (the moment the 30 day lease was up!). It came to my attention today that my account had be "reactivated" and not only was my home now available for rent, BUT they altered my profile, added my photo, and basically decided my house for for rent. When I emailed them, this was their answer-

"We had launched the new HouseStay site on 3/1/19 (and sent out an email to hosts), upon the launch of the new HouseStay site if hosts had previously provided us with their Airbnb listing link(s). Their listing and account information was updated: listing photos, listing description, availability, etc. so that it contained the same photos and descriptions as the property link provided"

Oh- Ok. You relaunched and just decided that since my home was available on Airbnb, that you get to list it too? And change the content of the profile I created? And add my photo? And just email me to inform me of what you've done... so not ok. It didn't even occur to me that after I deactivated my account (and I also deleted as many photos and as much information as I could when I deactivated it) , I needed to worry about someone randomly putting it back up. I figured the "we launched a new site" email was only applicable to people who had active accounts and listings. Silly me.

As far as I can tell they aren't associated with Airbnb in any way except stalking their clients and using the information publicly listed there to enhance their own website. There's a chance I'm wrong, but I can't find anything anywhere that indicated a business or financial link between the two. And if this was an Airbnb company, I can pretty much guarantee they would have the basics down- like being able to transfer money into my account and not have to go to the bank and fill out a deposit slip and hand the teller an actual handwritten check. (true story).

Everything about them feels desperate, unprofessional, and invasive. I highly suggest staying away and using one of the other, established, reputable companies for short term rentals.

I had a fantastic experience with HouseStay!

HouseStay was able to provide me with an affordable short-term housing exactly when I needed it and where I needed it. We had to place an employee for a couple months near our place of business and explored many options to find what would be best. HouseStay beat the rest of the competition hands-down. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a place to stay. They are very prompt and are on your side in every way.

My roommate and I had a really nice


My roommate and I had a really nice summer in LA and I would recommend using HouseStay for renting a house to all of my friends. The reservation and the payment were smooth. The staffs were ready to reply promptly. Checking in had no problems, and the local contact was very friendly. HouseStay manager handled all of the issues in between professionally - checking whether everything is still alright.

Everyone was very helpful & accommodating, even down to helping when I was traveling & needed help with payment info & understanding.
My stay was so wonderful & the staff on the rental site were even so supportive & there at any time for me.

even more than I expected!

My husband and I had to stay in LA for 1,5 months and we were searching for nice apartments in reasonable price range and good real estate company.
I was so glad to find HouseStay, because they provided excellent service (and I need to specify that I'm a very demanding person). They found perfect apartments according to my requirements. We were able to see the apartments before rental.
We also had great and frequent communication - fast email replies within an hour and they even answered on my late phone calls (comparing to other companies which could reply email in a few days or not picking the phone during working hours). I had quick feedback on my needs during rental period as well.
The deposit was returned to my bank account after 2 weeks as was agreed at the beginning.
I'll definitely cooperate with this company again. Thank you!

HouseStay has vanished with my deposit

HouseStay has kept my deposit for more than 45 days and counting despite acknowledging it is due. Also, they told me my credit card fees would be refunded and then said the person left the firm who responded via email and phone approving these fees therefore they wont refund them. At this point they have just disappeared with my deposit.

We presented you photos of the home prior to your move in and after you moved out. You did not dispute or complain about the condition of the property for the entire duration of your four month stay.

Mediating claims made by the host or tenants takes additional time since we request evidence of damage and estimates of repairs from the host.

We provided you with the invoices for repairs of over $1,000 + in damages, offered to do a walk through of the home so you may view the damages, yet you continue to dispute these claims.

We understand your frustration regarding the delay in refunding your deposit as a result of the dispute and hope that you will come back and update this review.
