I can recommend my sales advisor Allan who was very helpful back in May I paid over £10000 for a ev Peugeot 2008e gt premium after weeks having problems with electrical side went on a long trip coming back at high speed up hill went to brake had no brakes after an long back and forth from HPl service I end up go to main dealer who only after driving my car 5 minutes said not right Hpl need sort ASAP so hpl had my car I waited as had no car available to lend but still.no brake unless you use regeneration braking mode so communication between management was very pour but was agreed I could change my car and could look at all hpl stock and give them time for logistics to get cars to look at so I gave them 4 days and was given and date to call i went walked in no cars to see or look at so wasted time while i was there i went on there site and found a car said was at the wirral site but noone knew anything about it turned out wasn't I had wait till Wednesday and it was a Monday so I waited went on Thursday morning got the sales person to drive out the lot but car had shown up electric fault so few days past car couldn't be looked at but like my Peugeot they had some problems technical wise as comments from there service department on my Peugeot its new car we.dont have software to read or program it so the second one went off to jaguar who must looked at it and have written off the car that it's broken not worth fixed though out.all this I've had to cancel event that I like to attend telling hpl this who not wanting to respond so I would closely make sure the car has good health the sales person Allan very nice person only one who has apologise yet the manager Simon Taylor and main owner jonathan won't comment on my situation even when I've kept them in the loop all Simon Taylor was willing to say was the days not in nothing linked to the inconvenience all this has caused that this summer holidays were we would have been to three car events been not able to welsh markets following What happened with the brakes I've lost confidence I switched to a ev for medical reasons paid in full for the car I've been very patient with them but feel that they taken advantage of my claim manor

If i could leave zero stars i would !!! Be very aware of trading your car in at the preston branch. I was offered several thousand pounds more for my car to trade in at Big motoring world. Motorpoint and motorange all offered similar prices within a few hundred pound.... this branch is trying to rip off their customers. My advice buy and trade your car in elsewhere!!!!

I purchased a BMW 2 Series from HPL Motors at the beginning of April 2026. At the time of purchase, I specifically made HPL Motors aware that the existing alloy wheels were in poor condition and needed refurbishing. I was assured that this would be dealt with, particularly as I had also purchased the additional alloy wheel cover.
Unfortunately, since buying the car I have contacted HPL Motors on several occasions trying to get this resolved. Each time I seem to be passed from one person to another, and even from branch to branch with promises that someone will contact me to sort the issue out, but nothing actually happens.
What is particularly frustrating is that I have been patient and have given them numerous opportunities to put this right, but I am still no further forward months after the purchase.
The problem isn't simply the condition of the wheels — it is the complete lack of after-sales support and follow-through. Once the sale was completed, getting anyone to take responsibility for resolving the issue is extremely difficult.
I would have expected much better customer service from a dealership of their stature, especially having paid extra for additional cover.
I am hoping and holding my breath that if i have to call upon my warranty the process improves.
Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend HPL Motors and would strongly suggest potential customers to consider the level of after-sales support before usung them.

Put a £500 deposit on a car but decided not to proceed so requested a refund which I was told would take up to 5 working days. Despite numerous phone calls I was told it was only processed yesterday a full month after my initial request. Be wary with this company and they could not explain the delay.

I do not hesitate to leave this review on the exceptional quality of service provided to us from start to finish by SARAH BENNETT at your Preston branch. From my very first enquiry to collection of my new vehicle Sarah's customer care could not have been bettered and her friendly and efficient assistance throughout was exceptional and I consider to be an absolute credit to your organisation. I consider Sarah went beyond the expected customer car and will most definitely contact Sarah again in the event of my next car purchase. Well done Sarah and many thanks for everything. What a star!

Allan has been absolutely incredible and extremely helpful from start to finish with purchasing my new vehicle at HPL Motors Wirral.

Absolutely Amazing Experience With Nathan, Such an awesome guy, Just Came Back Because Of Him to Buy From HPL.

The whole car-buying process was incredibly smooth and honestly the least stressful car-buying experience I’ve ever had. Nathan R was really helpful throughout, answered all my questions and kept communication excellent from start to finish. He made everything clear and straightforward, which made my decision so much easier. I’d definitely recommend!

I came in to look at a car that I had seen online and Allan rang me and was really friendly and professional, there was no pushy sales talk and I came down the same day, the car was ready for me to test drive and Allan made the entire process really easy and stress free. I picked up my new car 2 days later and everything was perfect. Allan made me feel at ease and the atmosphere in the branch is so friendly. I would highly recommend and I will be returning when I'm due my next car, thank you 😊

*Under bonnet it was packed with fine sand up to 2-5cm thick build up in every groove, making it look like a construction site vehicle. Lot of dirt filled vaccume cleaner bag in 10 mins .
* A chipped windscreen was only rushed-fixed on collection day.
* The missing second key was withheld initially.
* Internal cleaning was botched with heavy scuffing throughout. Bad smell comingafter AC starts.
* I had requested to check 12v battery and was told its fine. by the look of it the never opened bonnet for alleged 120 point check. they couldn't have done any check with thick layer of mud on everything.
* Completely unacceptable level of preparation.

Craig was very professional and not pushy with the sale of our focus st-line throughout the whole process. He made sure we were happy at each stage of the process and we drove away happy customers!
We would definitely recommend this company 🙏

Liars the lot of them ,i would give zero but there is not no zero so one it will have to be. DO NOT believe anything the sales staff say and watch out for SARA she is the biggest liar and actress i have ever come across she should be on a stage . Cars are not serviced only only 30 day warranty and you get nothing for a trade in . The worst car buying experience in my 47 years of car buying
