Rubbish. They dont respond. Never use!

I finished my rental contract on May 11, 2025 and to this day I am still waiting for my deposit. I sent several emails to which I received 4 responses and in the second response they asked me for proof of the letter I had from my landlord stating that I had left the house in good condition and my bank details, which I sent on the same day. I immediately thought that after a long time it would finally be resolved, but nothing happened. I sent more emails asking when I would get my money back and in the 3 emails they sent me they said that I would have my money by next week, so once again I thought it would be this time and I waited until the end of that week that I would receive it and once again nothing was done. I sent emails again, called and still no response (I sent emails every day) until at the end of June they sent me proof that they had sent money, which to this day I have not received in my account. From then on I have tried to contact them by email and phone calls and nothing. I don't know how they still have customers, because the service is terrible. At first they are very attentive, but after you rent a house through them, they show a bad side, a side that, honestly, is unacceptable.

I would strongly advise against using this estate agency. They have proven to be dishonest, manipulative, misleading, and even withholding funds that do not belong to them. I ended my contract with them a year and a half ago, yet they are still holding my tenant’s deposit.

Despite my persistent calls, I have been met with nothing but excuses. The only person I am apparently allowed to speak to about this issue is an agent A.R. First, he was unavailable due to illness, then he repeatedly assured me the money had been sent—yet it never arrived. This happened at least three times. Now, he has completely blocked me, and the rest of the staff seem to be complicit in this unprofessional and unethical behavior.

At first, A.R. seemed nice and trustworthy, but it has become clear that this was just an act. I am appalled to see that I am not the only victim of their shady practices, yet they are still allowed to operate. Stay far away from this company—they are beyond dodgy!

I used Hunter Ashley as a letting agent for a property I rent out.
Hunter Ashley required constant chasing to get the tenants rent monies paid into my account.
I have since advised them of taking over managing the property myself. They have not transferred the tenant’s deposit monies. It is now 8 weeks since I advised them of taking over the management. The deposit is not being held with the tenancy deposit scheme as detailed on the original AST. They are not now responding to emails and text messages requesting the monies are transferred, after having finally acknowledged by email that the property and the deposit monies were ready monies were ready to be sent. I have since been calling to ask for the monies. One call was answered, 2 subsequent calls were not picked up. I would not recommend using their services if you are a landlord.

We chose this estate agent as it was our local agent and our house sold in days. Mr Raja and Mr Kamran were always helpful, finding out what was happening when our sale seemed to be faltering and they were key in communication between the legal teams. The only reason why I’ve put one star is because they moved me in quickly.. ish...
they don’t get stuff done that they should, I’m still waiting for a response to my email from a month ago, my deposit from the previous property still hasn’t been returned and that was nearly 3 months ago!! Manager is really rude when you try to confront him about literally anything, but unfortunately I need to keep dealing with them as I live in a property managed by them

When I'm looking for professional services, I look for someone who I feel I can trust, who communicates clearly, who is transparent with me and who can deliver personalised quality service. After weeks of interviewing the big corporates, Hunter Ashley, Amir and the team stepped in achieved all of this and more! Quite honestly, they blew the big guys out of the water. The service received from HA is second to none, I can reach someone anytime day or night through either classic or digital channels, they helped line up any additional support or services needed to achieve my objective. Nothing is ever too much trouble and its all done with a smile. Communication is frequent, professional, personalised and I never feel as the "the wool is being pulled over my eyes" or questioning the information I have been given. All of the above has given me a trust that I have never experienced with any other agent and as such I cannot recommend Hunter Ashley highly enough, If you're looking for an agent or to sell your property, your search is over, look no further!

Could not recommend any more highly, having worked unsuccessfully with some other national agents, Amir was a refreshing change. I felt assured in every step of the lettings process, and he arranged everything, all at a really good rate!

I was recommended Amir via a friend and he has not disappointed. Good rate and gets on with the job. He found me tenants and ensured that everything was in place, as per government guidelines. It’s only been one month but I’m confident he will continue to deal with any issues on my behalf.

Amir did a tremendous job finding the right tenants, and guiding us through the process. During a challenging time due to the pandemic he advised us on alternatives and was an excellent communicator throughout.

The Agency handled my tenancy really well. Despite there being many problems with my landlord who are clearly only bothered about the rent they receive and not interested in providing a clean, warm and safe environment, this Agency listened and helped me. Thank you Simran & Amir.
