I’m really happy with Hurayra Halal Chicken Dry Food. All of my cats love it, which is rare because they can be quite fussy! The biggest difference I’ve seen is with my cat Chase. He was quite skinny before, but after switching to this food he has gained healthy weight and looks much better.

His fur has also become noticeably softer and shinier. It’s such a relief to find halal cat food that is both high quality and something my cats genuinely enjoy. I’ll definitely continue buying it.

I’ve been keeping my eye on this brand of cat food since I saw an ad for it and I was really happy when I saw the products being released. I’ve only bought the dry food since that’s what was available at the time and both of my cats enjoy it which I’m glad since one of them is very picky with her food. Previously they were on non-halal cat food since it was the easiest to acquire at the time due to availability and proximity but I’m very glad to have made the switch. I also find it very cute that the kibble is heart-shaped.

I haven’t see any wet food available on the website but inshallah there’ll be some soon. And I hope that this brand will manage to start selling within superstores, making it easier for other Muslim cat owners to feed their cats the food that they deserve.

We have been looking for a long time for Halal cat food for our 3 fussy Siamese cats and have now found Hurayra. Our cats immediately liked the tuna and chicken switching from “Simply delicious”cat food so more expensive than Hurayra. When the Royal Mail made a mistake with one of our deliveries Hurayra’s customer service immediately answered my emails gave me links so Royal Mail could quickly rectify there mistake and redelivered next day. We and our cats are now subscribed customers and supports of this Halal family run business

I’ve been feeding our cat a tuna based dry cat food from a well known retailer, but she very rarely ate more than a few spoons of it. I was then having to buy and prepare separate meat for her and tinned tuna every now and then. I was sceptical at first thinking my cat just didn’t like dry food but as soon as the Hurayrah bag arrived, she gobbled up the whole bowl which we’ve honestly never seen her do in the entire year we’ve had her. She absolutely loves it, hence we’ve now subscribed and it’s made my life so much easier not having to constantly have fresh food prepped and chopped in the fridge for her. I actually think we were spending more than what the Hurayra costs. 100% worth it.

The moment I poured Hurayra, I knew I was onto a winner. My cat devours it. I mean, empty bowl every time. It's high-protein and grain-free, which I love, and clearly, the flavor (I use the Chicken variety) is irresistible to him/her.

My One Wish for the Future
If I could ask Hurayra for one thing, it would be to launch a wet food line! I like to offer a mix of wet and dry food, and I would love to complete the Halal diet with their wet options and maybe some treats.

Love, love, love these products! One of my cats is extremely fussy when it comes to trying new brands but he completely cleaned out the bowl! We tried both the Tuna and Chicken flavours and both my cats love them even though they usually prefer wet foods. I would highly recommend this product.

Firstly, it's great to see halal certified cat food in the market. It means we know nothing like pork will be in it, which we recently found out it can be in the bigger named cat food companies, even if it's listed as Chicken flavour.

When transitioning from our cat's old food to Hurayra, he vomitted a bit more than usual, but I'm sure when he's on Hurayra fully then it'll be fine.

Can't wait until there's a bigger packets available in the new year!

I tried Hurrayra Halal Pet Food for my four cats and was genuinely pleased with how well it went. All of them enjoyed it immediately, and even Bubbles, my shy British Shorthair who usually needs ages to try anything new, finished her whole bowl without hesitation. The others loved it so much they were sniffing around the bag for more. It’s great to finally have a proper halal cat food that’s both high quality and made with real care. I’m honestly happy with everything so far and really hope the brand keeps growing this amazing idea and I’d love to see wet food, treats, and even more options in the future. Definitely worth giving it a try.

So pleased that there's finally a halal cat food in the market that I can not only get online but if I need some extra, I can nip to Morrison and grab a bag. I'm looking forward to buying the wet food when it launches as I'm pretty sure all 6 of my cats will like that 😊.

I wanted to buy this because it’s halal, but honestly the company isn’t transparent at all.

They couldn’t even give me a full ingredient list for the chicken wet food. That’s a big red flag.

Just because something says “halal” doesn’t mean it’s good for your cat.

The tuna food they showed me was full of starches (tapioca, peas, sweet potato) and hardly any real meat.

Cats are obligate carnivores - too many carbs can lead to weight gain and even diabetes over time.

Feels like they’re using “halal” as a selling point without caring what your cat is actually digesting.

I wouldn’t recommend it unless your cat wants diabetes.

Thank you for responding. I want to clarify the situation, because there seems to be some misunderstanding.

When I originally contacted your team, I was shown two flavours — tuna and chicken — and I genuinely assumed they were wet food at the time. That part was my mistake, and I’m happy to acknowledge it now that you have clarified they were dry food.

However, regarding the ingredient lists, I stand by everything I said.
I specifically requested the full ingredients for both the tuna and the chicken flavours.
I was only given the tuna ingredient list, and even that included a high amount of starchy fillers. When I asked again for the chicken ingredient list, I was told that it was not available.
That lack of transparency is exactly what my review referred to.

Your website also does not provide full ingredient lists, which is unusual for any pet food brand — halal or otherwise. Transparency is essential for pet owners, especially those trying to choose the safest, healthiest option for their animals.

For the record, I have not purchased the food, precisely because after researching the tuna list that was provided to me, I was not comfortable with the ingredients. As an animal lover, my intention was simply to highlight concerns and push for clarity.

My two fussy cats love this food. The subscription service with delivery costs discounted makes it a convenient way to ensure I don’t run out.

My cat loved the chicken and beef dry food. And the fact that is Halal is a bonus. Because he had only been eating fish food for 2 years. I am waiting for you to start doing the wet food too In Shaa Allah.

Always fed my cat a halal diet but I’m so glad I was able to find a halal pet food brand that caters to my cats preferences my cat never finishes her dry food but with Hurayra she finished a whole bowl and miaowed for more will definitely order again and fast delivery too
