The Behavioral design course from Hyper Island was fun and engaging and I learned a lot of new things even though I have already been familiar with the subject. I can only recommend it.

I had the pleasure of attending the Hyper Island "Art of Effective Communication" training and learned a new perspective on how to turn the thoughts inside my head into a coherent, engaging, informative and when necessary, persuasive message.

Sabryna, Veronica and Bene were fantastic facilitators, and the content was engaging and relevant to any type of situation, both professionally and personally.

I highly recommend this training, and I look forward to the opportunity to attend another Hyper Island training.

The Foresight & Futures course at Hyper Island was truly an incredible experience both intellectually stimulating and genuinely fun.
The facilitators do an outstanding job of creating a safe, dynamic environment where curiosity and experimentation are encouraged.
Beyond the frameworks and methodologies, what makes this course special is how practical and applicable everything feels. I walked away not only with a stronger ability to anticipate trends and think long-term, but also with tools I can immediately apply to real business challenges.

The Foresight course was excellent - wonderful refresh of why I love this practice so much and how valuable it is, especially in today's world. Sabryna and the facilitators were excellent - really knowledgeable, engaging and fun.... a great balance of theory, practice and sharing ideas and brainstorming... It gets your brain working in all sorts of different ways to the norm and gives you a lot of practical ways to bring foresight practice into the business and actually get people to explore and experience the future to be more prepared (rather than just talk about it or look at trends) - the techniques are really immersive. This course has been both inspiring and directly relevant to my work. What I appreciated most was how easy it was to connect the frameworks to real situations and start testing ideas early on.
For me, the biggest shift has been moving from focusing mainly on communication, to understanding how belonging is actually shaped through structure, timing, and small interactions. It made me realise that creating a sense of belonging is not just about what we say, but about how we design those first moments and everyday experiences.
I also found myself reflecting more on the ethical side of this work, especially when bringing AI into the conversation. In discussions around introducing an AI agent, questions about influence, transparency and intention became very real – particularly when behaviour and experience are so closely connected.
Overall, I leave the course with a new way of thinking about how belonging can be intentionally designed, as well as practical tools that I can continue to apply and develop in my work.

Hyper Island delivered one of the most engaging and thought-provoking learning experiences I have had in recent years. I attended both the Future Foresight and The Art of Effective Communication courses, and in both cases I left with practical tools, new perspectives, and a powerful network of peers from diverse industries and backgrounds.

What sets Hyper Island apart is its experiential methodology, combining reflection, collaboration, and real-world application. The Future Foresight course strengthened my ability to identify emerging signals, explore future scenarios, and bring a more strategic and future-oriented perspective to transformation initiatives. The Art of Effective Communication course provided valuable insights into communication dynamics, active listening, and creating meaningful connections in professional environments.

One aspect I particularly appreciated was the emphasis on collaborative learning through breakout sessions and group activities. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to allow slightly more time for some of the group discussions, as the quality of the exchanges often made participants eager to explore topics in greater depth.

For anyone looking to expand their thinking, challenge assumptions, and build capabilities for an increasingly complex and uncertain world, I highly recommend Hyper Island.

I attended the Brand Strategy & Storytelling online course, which is a significant investment at €1,850. Naturally, I went in with high expectations. Unfortunately, I left feeling that the course did not deliver the value I had hoped for.

My impression is that this course may not be for everyone. It seemed better suited to individual contributors who are newer to the topic than to executives or senior leaders looking for more advanced strategic insights and practical applications.

One of my biggest challenges was the amount of time spent listening to long discussions that often felt abstract and lacking in concrete examples. In fact, during one of the sessions, another participant raised a similar concern. I had expected more case studies, frameworks, and examples that demonstrated how brand strategy is built in practice, how data can be transformed into compelling narratives, the impact those approaches have, and how storytelling can be used effectively in real-world business contexts.

I have no doubt that the host has extensive experience and a wealth of relevant examples to draw from. That is precisely why I found the course disappointing. I felt there was a missed opportunity to share more of that expertise through practical examples and tangible lessons. Instead, much of the content felt overly conceptual and, at times, quite fluffy.

After the course, I completed the feedback survey and was candid about my experience. I was surprised that nobody from HI followed up to better understand my concerns. I also reached out twice via Slack to one of the hosts but never received a response.

I later spoke with a few other participants and found that some shared similar feelings. That’s unfortunate because I enrolled based on a recommendation and genuinely wanted the course to be a great experience.

Ultimately, I left feeling uninspired rather than energized or equipped with new tools and perspectives. It’s rare that I feel strongly enough to write a review, but given the investment and my overall experience, I felt it was important to share this feedback.

The enthusiasm, knowledge and clarity of the Hyper Island team made that is a wonderful learning experience. I implemented future foresight methodology in my undergraduate class whilst taking the course. The approach empowered my students and gave them hope grounded in real possibility.

I was happy to find a short course in behavioural design and was really looking forward to it. It met all my expectations and went beyond that!

We were an international team with a great variety of experiences, which added to extremely interesting discussions during our weekly workshops. Each workshop was a mix of a presentation on one particular subject (held by either dedicated lecturer, Sabryna or Tim in our case, or a guest lecturer), and several practical tasks done in smaller groups. Being added randomly into a new group each time made it possible to work with many different students during the course, which made the experience real fun!

We also had home assignments with personal projects each week to help us practice what we'd learnt during the workshops.

Of course, we only sctratched on the surface during these 4 weeks. But we got to learn several behavioural design methods and it fueled our desire to keep learning and noticing all the nudges around us!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Behavioural Design Course and can highly recommend it. One of the highlights for me was the exchange with fellow participants and the engaging discussions that emerged throughout the program. The diversity of backgrounds and perspectives among both the participants and the instructors made every session incredibly dynamic and inspiring.
The course has had a real impact on me, both professionally and personally. It challenged me to rethink how I approach problems and decisions, offering new ways of looking at everyday situations. I found the content consistently stimulating, thought-provoking, and directly applicable to my work as well as my daily life.
Overall, it was an enriching experience that combined practical insights with lively interaction, making it not only highly valuable but also truly enjoyable.

Excellent experience overall. The Futures Foresight programme with Hyper Island was engaging, interactive, and genuinely thought-provoking. I really appreciated the focus on practical frameworks for understanding change and uncertainty, rather than just focusing on technology itself.

The course encouraged collaboration and brought together people from different industries and backgrounds, which made the discussions especially valuable. I came away with new perspectives, useful tools for future thinking, and a stronger understanding of how emerging trends may shape both professional and personal decision-making.

Would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in innovation, AI, strategy, or future-focused learning.

The behavioural design course helped me to look at projet structure differently to have more impact on end users, incorporating the tools provided in project concepts. The facilitators were very knowledgeable and profesional. I definitely recommend the course.

Just came across this and thought I’d share my experience as a Motion Creative graduate from 2021.
I’m from Hamburg and already had a bit of a background in 3D motion design before I joined Hyper Island in Stockholm in 2020. My goal was pretty simple: get better, specialize in 3D, and improve my English along the way.
Then COVID happened, and the whole experience kind of fell apart. I think I was on campus maybe 2–3 times in total. The rest of the year I was just in my room, even though I had moved to Stockholm for this. So yeah, not much real learning, and almost no chance to connect with people.
The program itself was mostly guest speakers from the industry and some small assignments here and there. But honestly, a lot of it felt pretty basic—stuff you could easily learn online for free.
My goal was to improve my English and actually get solid motion design skills. Neither really happened. If I’m being honest, it felt like 98% soft skill talk—group feelings, communication, all that—and maybe 2% actual motion design.
I did bring this up a few times and asked if there was any way to pause or maybe get some kind of refund, given the situation. But the answer was always the same: they’re sorry, but nothing they can do.
Considering how much money went into it (tuition + living costs), that was pretty frustrating.
And looking back now, a lot of people from my class didn’t even end up working in motion design. Which, to be honest, isn’t that surprising.
I think they don’t even offer that program anymore. If you’re thinking about it and have to pay for it yourself, I’d really think twice. For me, it just wasn’t worth the time or money.

Really helpful and fun course! Well structured and great teachers, fun classmates too. Very helpful too. It’s just to remember what you’ve learned when you do your work.

The methodology was very participative and the facilitators super knowledgeable. I enjoyed connecting with others, learning about their perspectives. The times worked amazingly for me.

I wish there was a second part for the same group to go deeper on what we've learned. Maybe having a small project to help us think how can we share all of the content back to our organisations would be great

I attended five intense, inspiring days with Hyper Island diving into AI and future skills — and wow. Stockholm + participants and trainers from Europe and the Americas = great energy and perspectives from day one.

Very hands-on and very real: learning by doing, working on our own examples, exchanging knowledge and sharing experiences. Smart, practical, and genuinely exciting. If this is the future of learning, I’m in!
