In just 3 months, I'm learning more than I ever had in my entire life. I reckon that before I engaged this program, I had been approaching learning with the wrong mindset, but by God's grace this program has indeed being a blessing.

I’m so incredibly happy to have found you! I’ve struggled with learning and forgetting things my entire life, and for the longest time I believed it was something genetic or that I had some kind of deficiency. You’ve truly helped me understand the root cause of my struggles, which already means so much to me.

I only enrolled a few weeks ago, and as a full-time employee with a very busy schedule, it’s still a bit early to share concrete results. But even at this stage, I already feel so supported and encouraged.

My experience has been great! The course is very well structured, it's for learning how to learn which none really formally learns which helps out a ton. There's coaches ready to reply to your every question and, what not? A person like me wouldn't know that learning scientists even existed, but now I know they do and their work is helping people unlock ways to be more efficient with their learning which ends up saving a lot of time. They know what we think very well, it's formulated so it isn't hard to follow, there are step by step instructions (there are activities which you complete to practice the teachings and there's checkpoints so you aren't going forth unless you clear it) and explanations for EVERYTHING!(in the checkpoints which is a quiz type, if you get something wrong you have an explanation for that as well.) The explanations act as a means for you to see the importance of a lesson which is so so helpful!

I have never really known how to study. I read stuff, tried to memorize things, that was about it. I realized I needed help to become a better learner and came across this program. It is perfect, it figures out where you are at with a detailed assessment and custom tailors lessons to meet you where you are and grow you into something more.

I am not that far in, maybe 2 or 3 lessons in but it has already made such a powerful difference. It is not about what you read but how you process what you read. And having some really powerful techniques to kick off deep processing inside your brain.

Best of all, it is designed to be used in concert with what you are actually learning so the overhead is not that high. You practice the concepts you learn here in the classes you are taking out there. I wish I would have done something like this early on in college but better late than never!

I initially joined the course to learn mindmapping with the presumption that better mindmapping was the key to unlock my learning potential. However, I’ve come to realise that the course is so much more. It equips you with skills and perspectives that are transferable across many domains. It provides you with tools that enables you to grow, not just academically, but also in terms of your perspective on goals and challenges. And of course, it provides you with a system to succeed academically. The difference between me as a learner and as a person before joining the course and now are night and day. Would highly recommend it to anyone, regardless if you’re a learning within a structured curriculum or not.

Good course but the instructions are very vague during training. I think more examples will make it better.

ICS has 4 great pillars that prompt me to submit this review

- The discord community is a cheat code for fast-tracking development, filled with many insightful members happy and willing to give feedback and converse with you.

- The senior coaching team helps a lot , with responses within 5 to 7 buisness days that are designed to give you a helping hand with your work and progress

- Receptive to Feedback. I was very impressed when I saw that the ICS management team has changed the program several times in different ways in response to client feedback , showing that while they are educators, they dont have an issue learning from their students as well.

- The course itself builds a system of reseearch and experience- backed techniques and mindsets that can help solve many of life's challenges, not just academic skills. I'm not even half way through but have found the training given so far pretty life changing , with renewed confidence in tackling my intellectual goals.

Even though I was having mental health difficulties, I was able to see improvements in less than 2 months, just by trying to follow the advice. Highly recommend to all.

Literally at the beginning stages of the program (Rapid Start) changed my life right away, I am in fundamentals 1 and I feel this deserves world-recognition.

iCS is a fantastic resource for learning how to learn, and it pretty much has novel information that is probably very difficult to find anywhere else. While iCS not perfect, I've found it highly effective for my use case not just for school, but for life in general.

In order to have success with iCS, I truly believe you just really need to not give up and be willing to practice... A LOT. Most of the times the techniques that are taught can take you out of your comfort zone, so it's absolutely crucial that you stay strong and push through. Also, there are definitely many pitfalls when it comes to learning the techniques, so it's absolutely crucial that you get feedback from coaches/peers to recalibrate.

Overall, it's a coaching service I highly recommend if you have the right mindset, you'll definitely get a lot of value out of it if you are patient and are active within a community.

And shoutout to coach Tanzeer, man's always giving goated advice.

Alumni and most active person in ICS history here. Great course, terrible/non-existent community management with vague guidelines and obvious favouritism from the staff

It has improved my learning drastically and saved me hours of work. It is not easy, but it is one of the most rewarding courses one could take in life.

1. Being in this program, it is necessary to ask for feedback, as the course is challenging, and it is hard to give self-feedback sometimes. Many techniques take a long time to learn, and they are so complex that even small nuances in their interpretation can yield completely different results. You might even fail if you use the techniques incorrectly. In this program, there are two types of external feedback: peer feedback and expert feedback. In peer feedback, community members provide feedback. In expert feedback, coaches provide feedback.

If you arrange feedback in a spectrum from most beneficial to least beneficial, Derrick Mah (a coach in iCS) always gives the least beneficial feedback. When submitting expert feedback, Derrick responded twice for me. For the first time, the feedback he gave was something that I had already done, and it was very superficial. It was not at all beneficial. The second time, he refused to give feedback because I hadn't done peer feedback. Because of him, it took me one month to receive feedback. As a result, I had to repeat a year and faced severe consequences. I also noticed that he would give the least helpful feedback during office hours. Sometimes he even gave wrong feedback. For instance, I remember once during Ashton's office hour, Ashton was talking to a student who was following feedback previously given by Derrick. Ashton said that that was the wrong feedback and corrected it. This is completely unacceptable and unforgivable. Derrick must face severe consequences. Please permanently remove Derrick Mah from the role of a coach. Not only will this make it fair for me, but it will also increase the likelihood that students receive better feedback.

2. It is true that, unlike other courses, improvements are made to the iCS program. However, the improvements are made too slowly.

As mentioned in the first point, till 2024, to get feedback, you would have to submit peer feedback before submitting expert feedback. However, I never felt comfortable submitting peer feedback, so I never requested feedback. I could never understand why a peer would bother to give me good feedback. In fact, they aren't even qualified. The coaches say things like, "We check the peer feedback." However, there is no proof that they really do so. They expect you to trust them blindly. Even now, this has stayed the same. Fortunately, since 2025, they have removed the restriction of submitting peer feedback, so I can now get expert feedback. However, had this change been made earlier, I would have been much ahead in terms of course progress.

In Live Clinics, Justin kept using the Bigmarker whiteboard even though he sometimes couldn't write as he wanted. Despite this, he only started using Concepts for the whiteboard from Live Clinic 50. Sometimes Bigmarker wouldn't start on time, would lag, or would shut down midway. Yet he only started using Discord to host the Live Clinics from Live Clinic 54. This resulted in a poor viewing experience for both people attending these sessions live and those watching the recordings.

They removed Spot the issues and XP at the start of 2024. They said they would bring them back, but they still haven't.

3. Apart from the 1-hour session we have once a month - the Live Clinic, Justin does not engage with the community at all. I have never seen him active on Discord. He never provided expert feedback. In 2024, I heard he would offer one-on-one consultations with students, but he has since stopped. I would like Justin to engage more with the community.

Also, I remember once when I was talking to him, he was way too brutally honest, which hurt my feelings. This behaviour is also illustrated multiple times in the Live Clinics. For instance, at 34:25-36:45 in Live Clinic 27. Sometimes he also makes very pessimistic statements like "Some people just need to fail", "That's just how life is", etc. He shows absolutely no regard for his students' struggles and feelings. If you can't encourage them, you shouldn't discourage them either. He should think more about what he says and how that would impact his students. I hope Justin will start showing more empathy and care for his students.

Justins approach to learning is highly thought trough and makes sense!
I started practising the methods some weeks prior to starting university study in law. While everyone else is still hammering their keyboards during the lecture I just sit there and look at my Mindmap and add some stuff here and there.

During the practise sessions I am already in approximately the top 10% of students when it comes to knowledge and competence of the tasks that we need to solve. (After like 3 months of uni) And I expect that to increase even more as time goes on.

Justins approach helped me develop the understanding how to create a high level and connected understanding of a topic. Something I lacked in highschool because to me all did not seem that related and I only felt like I remembered facts.

It takes some intelligence and dedication to learn the methods. But when you put in the time it pays of so much.

I had a session with Tanzeer. He first took the time to thoroughly understand my personal situation and then provided valuable guidance based on that. I felt that, by understanding my current circumstances, he was able to quickly identify the weak points in my system. Providing the transcript was also very helpful, as English is not my native language, allowing me to review the conversation calmly afterward. This was extremely beneficial. Many thanks for the valuable 1:1 coaching!

I had a conversation with Tanzeer where we went throught the main problems of my learning system because of an undesired result in an exam.
I liked how he made me reflect on my processes to find the exact problems I was having to then
both of us formulate some solutions that were in line with his very own experience with other students.
I have totally sensed without a doubt that these guys are really there to help you in your learning journey.

I joined ICS because I didn’t want learning to be painful anymore. I'd already passed an international exam and was in the top 10% globally. But it didn’t feel worth it—my life, health, and relationships took a hit for an exam. I had believed that walking alone was the only way, but I learned the hard way that the price was far too high. I still wanted to be a learning machine, but I knew I needed the right tools. I needed the right gear to climb my mountains.

The decision to join wasn’t easy, though. I’m from India, and paying for anything in dollars can feel like a big leap. I debated it for weeks with my family, held my breath, and then decided to take the plunge. I won’t lie, I wasn’t sure if it would be worth it, but I figured I’d have to trust it and see where it went.

And what I found was that ICS helped me breathe again. It helped me open my eyes. I realized that I wasn’t just getting a course—I was getting support, coaching, and a community. Over time, I lost weight, I learned to dance, moved cities, took care of my mental health, and became a top performer at work. I learned how to be dedicated and focused, and to learn with people around me.

What truly surprised me was the community. My peers checked in on me, took time to talk and support me—something I hadn’t expected. And the coaches? They were incredible. Coaches like Ashton, Louis, Derrick, Tanzeer, Anne, and Michelle helped me when I thought it was hopeless. Their guidance made a huge difference.

I want to highlight Tanzeer and Anne especially. When I moved cities and was preparing to retake my exam, they scheduled a 30-minute meeting with me. They were kind, understanding, and offered a few key suggestions. A follow-up was scheduled, and by the next week, I had reduced my reading time from 14 days per chapter to just 5 days. My learning became not only more efficient but more meaningful. I realized that learning and productivity aren’t always about pushing harder—they need to be approached with precision. Tanzeer and Anne helped me refine my approach, and the results were amazing.

So, should you get ICS? Honestly, it’s not about whether ICS is the right choice—that’s not the real question. The question is: “What do I want to get out of this, and am I willing to put in the effort?” ICS isn’t a course; it’s a conversation. You only get out what you put in. If you engage with the community, speak up, and get involved, you’ll experience so much more than just the material. That’s where the real value lies— in the people and the connections you build.

If you’re ready to put in the work and open up to the experience, then yes, ICS can truly transform the way you learn.
