The first time I visited Iceland in March 2009 (just after the financial crisis) was with Iceland holidays for a fly/drive holiday that went very well, at -6C the snow blew over the road like sand. So when it was time to visit the Glaciers again I wanted to use Iceland Holidays because of the complete package of flights, car, hotels they arrange for you. I'm really glad I did because I was originally going to visit Reykjavik again in March 2020 but then, well you know what happened! Iceland Holidays did everything necessary to postpone it to October 2020 , then March 2021, then March 2022 because "How long could the pandemic last?" Changing the Iceland Air flights, car hire and many separate nights in different hotels seemed effortless for them but would have been a real nightmare if I'd tried to organise it myself. I'd almost given up hope that the world would get back to some sort of normal but then in Feb 2022 Iceland announced "back to normal". It was a wonderful trip just as I'd hoped two years ago, everything went as planned, and I achieved all my goals for the trip getting some amazing photos with some clear days with > 10 miles visibility, but also some ferocious winds with -20C chill factor during the first part that makes your soul want to leave your body behind. Icelandic people and infrastructure came up trumps. The 4G mobile signal was faultless even at waterfalls and endless (yes really) black sand beaches miles from anywhere. The signal back at home in my house isn't that good! So messaging friends and posting photos was a breeze on the road. I can't wait to go back again but this time I won't leave it 10-13 years. Oh and yes in the past 13 years by my calculations of distance and pixels on a camera sensor the glaciers seem to have reduced their height by about 10m per year and retreated back by about 100m per year. There are still some very impressive Vatnajokull glacial tongues sticking out of the mountains (Think of The Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers album but in grey rock and blue/white ice) as it takes you 2 days to travel past the biggest glacier on the European continental shelf.

We have recently returned from a fly drive holiday to Iceland organised by Iceland Holidays. We had a superb time. Iceland is such a beautiful country, but don't go expecting a 'shorts and T shirt holiday '. All the hotels were good and included breakfast. Our favourite hotel was the Hotel Geyser at Geyser- where else could you watch a geyser erupting from your dinner table. All aspects of the holiday were extremely well organised by Iceland Holidays and I would thoroughly recommend them.

We decided late to do Iceland so contacted Iceland Holidays in early June. Their website seemed to offer more options than using our usual mainstream agent. Sent a brief around what we wanted and Gareth came back with a number of options of airports and nights. We eventually picked an eight night ring road self drive tour leaving end of June. Our thanks to Gareth for arranging our holiday at such short notice and at the busiest time of the year in Iceland. We had a good experience in the land of Ice, Fire, Wind and Rain but would suggest adding extra nights around the golden circle, Skaftafell National Park and in the North East around Husavik/Akureyri. We are in our 70s so the one night stays in hotels began to tell as well as some bad weather which drowned plans. Adding extra days which Gareth had suggested would have proved a more relaxed drive and flexibility around bad weather.
Otherwise an adventure not to be missed. Thank you Iceland Holidays for all arrangements and providing the Lonely Planet Book for the Ring Road Road Trip, invaluable.

We had a thoroughly great holiday

The tours were well punctual well organised and covered all the important sites
The tour guides were all very friendly and very well informed making the trips all very interesting
Hotel was excellent great setting beautiful breakfasts and superb restaurant immediately adjacent

Our rep Gareth asked us what we wanted from our holiday & booked it for us with all our excursions . He knew Iceland & tailored it to our needs . The Hotel Odensve was very clean & comfortable with excellent breakfast & restaurant attached. Staff were friendly & helpful. All excursions were excellent even when 1 was cancelled due to heavy snow we were offered refund or rebook. We can’t wait to go back to see Iceland in the summer

I dealt with Gareth throughout the planning of this holiday and have to say he is incredibly knowledgeable and patient! I had to change the holiday radically but he did this quickly and carefully. He has a solid understanding of the destination and was able to advise on clothing, activities and accommodation. I have no hesitation in recommending Iceland Holidays and Gareth.

Iceland Holidays did a great job of working with us to design our holiday. They listened to what we wanted and were able to advise - even down to which side of the plane we should take for the best views! It went really smoothly.

Really enjoyed our trip to Iceland and very happy with the route we worked out with great help from Gareth.
All the accommodation was good. The only issue we had was the breakfast at the accommodation in Fludir, which was pretty grim…..especially rather dry sliced white bread when there was an excellent bakery just around the corner. The impression was that it was all a bit of an afterthought

We booked a holiday with Gareth at Iceland Holidays after Tui cancelled a holiday booked with them at short notice. We were offered a wide variety of hotels and excursions and ended up staying at the lovely Eyja Guldsmeden Hotel. I really appreciated the help and guidance offered by Gareth and found him very accommodating and easy to deal with. Plus, the cost of the holiday and excursions came in at a lower price than our holiday booked with Tui! Great experience from start to finish.

We had planned to go to Iceland in May 2020 but our travel plans were disrupted by the corona virus pandemic.
Iceland Holidays were excellent in keeping us updated, and postponed our travel dates while travel was impossible. As soon as Iceland was on the green list we were given a choice of dates in July 2021, and were delighted to go.
Our travel arrangements included car hire and hotel reservations at five locations so that we could see the Blue Lagoon and the geysers specially.
All the reservations and car hire process went ery smoothly. We were expected at each hotel, and warmly welcomed. We could see that there was an extreme shortage of tourists. We were often the only guests in the dining room. Our bookings included breakfasts, and all breakfasts were substantial.
We very much enjoyed the freedom of driving ourselves, and enjoyed seeing only a small part of the Golden Circle.
Our complaints are minor. We would have liked a few maps showing the exact location of our hotels. We would also have liked more specific information on the need for COVID tests before departure and the need to book the tests two days after our return BEFORE we could catch the return flight. Of course the testing regime was hanging daily, so the info would have been available online

Had a great holiday with Iceland holidays, they go above and beyond to get everything right . Icelandair cancelled our flight on the day of departure , a phone call to Gareth of Iceland holidays and all was rescheduled to the following day including the meals I had arranged !

Would definitely highly recommend - I placed the order online and Gareth immediately got in touch to ask for more details on tailoring the holiday to our specific needs and made other suggestions accordingly. Very helpful, very well organised and hassle free!

Gareth at Icelandic Holidays was very helpful and knowledgeable. He arranged a tailor made trip just for us. He arranged everything from flights, car hire, hotels and excursions. We loved our trip especially the Secret Lagoon and staying at the Geysir Hotel. Would definitely recommend 🙂

Had a lovely trip to Iceland. Amazing place. Most of the trips ran smoothly. A couple of hiccups. Would advise to check all your confirmations as things that I thought had been booked an paid for turned out at the last minute they hadn’t been. In particular the Blue Lagoon!! Was disappointed with that and how it was handled.

I totally agree with the review telling you not too trust the good reviews they are totally false. This company goes under the following
names everestholiday.com, icelandhokidays.com, skiarrangements.com,
lakeannecy.com, deckchairholidays.com, if you want to have an enjoyable holiday and get what you paid for do not deal with any of these they are are run by the same person Gareth Gee.
I put up a review on 19th of September explaining how we paid for an apartment which we never received the value was £1920.00, we had to organise another apartment at our own expense. We received a response on the this website apologising and also one to my personal email from Gareth apologising and telling us us he would organise a refund, and a week FOC next year to make up for all the hassle. True to form, We have received no fund and no further response from this company.
I only have one star because i had to, this company does not deserve any stars, they are dishonest please do not deal with them if you wish to get what you paid for

We have had two taylor made holidays with Iceland Holidays which ran smoothly from start to finish.
We were kept aware of our itinerary as it developed and advice was freely given and our numerous questions answered.
