We are sorry to hear about your experience using our site - while we do our best to make sure offers are correct, occasionally an incorrect price can be shown due to availability or technical issues with our automatic system. We have measures in place that remove these incorrect offers should they appear, although these can require time to process.

To ensure transparency and impartiality, our search engine does not prioritise or promote specific stores. This means users can search for products, rather than specific sites.

The offers displayed for each product also depend on store availability at the time of your search. Offers that are sold out are taken offline by our automatic system.

We hope this helps to clarify how deals are displayed on our site.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your frustration regarding the deactivation of your offers on idealo.co.uk due to the lack of a valid VAT number for your company. We require all our partners to have a valid VAT number across all our European markets to ensure compliance with tax regulations and maintain a trusted, professional marketplace. Unfortunately, the fact that your offers were initially approved and went live was a mistake on our part during the review of your application, and we sincerely apologize for this oversight. Having a valid VAT number helps ensure transparent pricing, prevents fraud, and supports a safe, reliable experience for our customers.
To improve moving forward, we will ensure the requirements around VATs are clearer for both our team and our customers.

Hello Chris, we are sorry that you came across some incorrect prices while comparing deals on idealo. This is unfortunately an occasional error caused by our automated system, which gets refreshed regularly to ensure that any wrong prices are corrected as soon as possible. We will however also pass this error information on to the relevant department to look into and to make any neccessary adjustments to our automated system to ensure this does not happen again. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. We hope you'll give idealo another go next time you're looking to save money online.

Hi David, thank you for taking the time to write us a review, we're sorry you've not had a good experience so we'll try and explain what happened.

It's really important to us that we offer the best, accurate prices for everything you are searching for. We do this with shop feeds from our partner shops, and occasionally the system makes a mistake and an incorrect offer gets assigned to a product.

We have a team of people who work on this to make sure the prices we show are as accurate as possible, but with millions of offers online, you can imagine it's a bit of a challenge!

If you ever spot something that isn't right, please do consider using the "report a problem" button on the offers list, then one of our dedicated team can set about putting it right for other users.

Hopefully we have shed a little light onto why this happens, and reassured you that we really care about finding you the best price, and one that is up to date too.
