Ilajak Medical is a middleman company that subcontracts surgeries to third-party doctors. They take your cash, ruin your body, and ignore you when things go wrong.

They have permanently disfigured me across two failed surgeries:

- Surgery 1:
It failed with terrible growth. My donor area was so severely scarred and overharvested that multiple top clinics in Europe refused to treat me. Ilajak completely denied responsibility and refused to honor their "Lifetime Guarantee" until I forced them with an official medical report from a German specialist.

- Surgery 2 (The supposed correction of whatever they caused):
During the second "repair" surgery, the doctor committed gross malpractice.
they assigned 2 inexperienced assistants to perform the vast majority of the surgery, ruined my scalp donor area even further. To make it worse, they extracted hundreds of grafts directly from the highly visible front of my chin instead of sticking to the safe donor zone under the jaw.

- The Result:
a year later, my face is full of white, pitted FUE scars and patchy density, my head is worse than before. I can no longer shave or style a clean, short beard line because of the facial disfigurement.

They will take your money and ruin your face. Avoid at all costs.

This agency looks legit at first, but as soon as you pay them, you realise you got scammed. They heavily rely on technicians for medical services so that they can treat patients cheaply. They won't admit they made negligence when things go bad with the result.
Choosing them to perform hair transplant in Turkey was my worse decision.

This is a fraud organisation. They took my deposit, and after changing my mind to a medical emergency they refused to refund my money. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

I did not give Ilajak a 5-star rating because they have a few small areas to shore-up but overall, they provided an outstanding service that I highly recommend.
I’m unsure of the criticism that was leveled by a previous reviewer, but what they have posted is absolutely not what I experienced.
I traveled from the US to Istanbul for a gastric sleeve revision. I had a gastric sleeve surgery performed in my home country 10 years ago and due to a number of complications, the sleeve failed. I contacted Ilajak, noting the urgency of my situation, and was scheduled to have surgery within 2-weeks. I was already on a liquid diet so that made it possible to be scheduled on such short notice.

I met with my surgeon, Dr Kanaan (sp), for evaluation and after a thorough examination, he recommended that I opt for a transit loop partition surgery instead of a gastric sleeve revision. Many doctors have simply performed the standard surgeries used in weight loss clinics, but this special surgery was recommended to produce the most optimal results. Everything was tailored specifically for me and after my questioning, I felt comfortable with his recommendations.
My surgery was scheduled for the very next day and everything went well and I was not in any significant pain. I had a private hospital room that was well equipped. Meals were bought on schedule even though I was prohibited from eating for the first 48 hours. The nursing staff was stellar. The nurses really made me comfortable and were always available if I needed their assistance.
My resistance to issuing the 5th star above is something that I discussed with the Ilajak team and so posting it here will not be a surprise. My only complaint was the lack of an itinerary. It would be nice to know what the schedule is for each day leading up to the surgery and what to expect. I was given notification by WhatsApp usually the night before an event to be ready for pickup at the hotel lobby at a certain time. It would be better if there were a printed schedule of what to expect each day, understanding that there may need to be some flexibility in the appointment times.
Secondly, if an appointment is scheduled for 10AM, then the team needs to make sure that we are on time for the appointment. Oftentimes, we were told to be ready to go at 10AM but the driver would not show up until 10:15 or 10:30. Getting to the hospital and waiting for an hour since you were late, is not a good feeling and so I am with-holding that 5th star to give them something to work on. They can be much more organized with their scheduling and time management.
Otherwise, it was an amazing experience. I had a wonderful team to work with. I did not get the feeling that they were about money. While that may be different for others, I did not get that feeling. Some services are more expensive than others but cheaper isn’t always better. I can assure you that for the money, I am extremely satisfied with the quality of services that I received. I will be going back to Turkey to follow up with the Ilajak team not because I have to, but because I want to. I want them to see the progress I’ve made and hopefully help reassure others that this is an excellent group to work with.
