The adviser spent time asking about my personal situation, my future aspirations and my response to investment risks and used this information together with my pension details to recommend the best option. He also provided estimated calculations, based on current market conditions, on annuity options and other options citing the pros and cons if I chose to leave my final salary pension scheme. He was clearly very experienced and knowledgeable in his field and able to cut through the financial jargon and explain it in a simple way.
