We have a log cabin with a vaulted…
We have a log cabin with a vaulted ceiling and climbing up a ladder to measure the windows in the peak was difficult with eventual installation requiring two ladders and a lot of "choice words" until my elderly husband and I finally got them in. Knowing that we have to take them out twice a year to let the edge tubing "rest" and to clean them is not something we look forward to. We also had trouble with the shipping as we told Indows and the sub-contracted shipping firm that we lived in a rural housing development with small dirt roads and sharp turns and that they would need to send a smaller truck than a typical 18-wheeler. Sure enough, they sent a huge 18-wheeler that could only get to within 2.5 miles from our home. We had to use our own pick-up (luckily we own one) to retrieve our big heavy boxes and then had to unload them ourselves - NOT easy for two elderly people. Also, we paid extra for "UV" tinting. Instead of improving the view like the sample material did, the actual windows came with a bluish milky haze. Insulating feature does appear effective (that's why 3 stars not 1), but other issues limited my enthusiasm.
