Instant Custom Boxes provided great service for my company on two different occasions. They delivered high-quality cartons matching my specifications very quickly.

This company is not only dishonest but intentionally did not include very important information from quote through to delivery. Our packages were shipped internationally and held in customs for 30 days - they never put in print anywhere they would produce and ship out of the US.
Better off to fully vet online companies like this, we learned an expensive lesson.

We placed a custom packaging order with Instant Custom Boxes (ICB) for a luxury event. What we received was a defective, unusable product that didn’t match the approved design—including a misspelling in our logo. When we requested a refund, ICB acknowledged the issue and promised repayment within 12–18 business days.

That never happened.

After months of follow-up, they proposed a monthly installment plan. We agreed, and received two partial payments. Then: silence. After renewed pressure, a third partial payment arrived—still leaving over $700 unpaid.

They promised to pay monthly on the 23rd but have missed multiple deadlines, ignored our messages, blocked our phone number, and disconnected live chats.

Here’s the most alarming part: they are now withholding the final refund unless we delete this honest review. In writing, they stated:

“Our team has requested that all negative reviews posted online be removed prior to proceeding with the final refund.”

“Once the reviews are taken down, we will be able to process the remaining amount immediately.”

“Delete All negative reviews Online then we will proceed with remaining fund by end of this month.”

That’s not how reputable companies behave. It’s coercive and wrong.

We’re preparing formal complaints to the California Attorney General, FTC, BBB, and others. We also intend to notify review platforms that ICB is attempting to suppress negative reviews through financial pressure.

Avoid this company. Don’t risk your money, your reputation, or your peace of mind.

The customer service was responsive and well prepared, the quality was great and the delivery earlier than expected!

Ordered custom mylar bags. Quality was very poor and the representative did not listen to anything I said. All she did was push for final approval. Received the order and the QR codes I sent that worked properly no longer work since they changed them. The outside seam was sealed so that it impossible for the bags to open without tearing the mylar due to being cheap quality from china. This company uses a third party manufacture and ships out of china. Stay away!

ICB was such a pleasure to work with. Throughout the entire process our rep was extremely kind, professional, and helpful. The shipment was received smoothly, the final product was high quality, and the delivery was right on time.

Oh I wish I had seen the other reviews - I have the same problem as many others...they sent us defective boxes that we can't use (the design was THEIR recommendation in the first place) and now they won't return calls or emails. I'll remove this review if they solve the problem, as any company with a tiny bit of accountability and customer service would do!

Terrible quality and design. They advised us on the design of the packaging, which absolutely doesn't work. In fact, the box takes our staff forever to assemble, and then the dividers that were meant to protect the products do NOT stay in place, even when the box is empty, let alone with product in it and for shipping. And when we demonstrate and show this to the manager he just says "okay, we can fix it by printing THIS other box for you, which would work, but you have to pay again." Who would order twice from a terrible company?

We have received our Mylar bags and they really deserve appreciation. For, they just have shipped us what we are looking for. Thank you team
