Before working with the Intentional Product Manager, I was frustrated with my interviewing experience - not hearing back from recruiters, being overlooked for roles I know I would be good in, and having no access to valuable feedback after interviews. I tried several other peer groups but did not feel that I was getting structured feedback.

I was apprehensive about joining a coaching programme - I had never done so before and the price seemed quite steep. In my initial call with Shobhit, my mind was put to rest. I have been in Product Management for over ten years. I am currently a Senior Product Manager for the United States Air Force. During my time in product management, I noticed a trend in how I was perceived. I was constantly “Mr. Fix it.” My company recognized me for being excellent at execution, but I also wanted to be known for my strategic work.

When I joined the Intentional Product Manager program, I used to work as a product manager at Pluralsight. A while back, reorgs greatly impacted my team directly. I kept asking myself, “did I contribute to this?” I questioned if it could have been my skill, my communication, etc.

I highly recommend the Intentional Job Search as a structured and supportive program for anyone looking for their next product role. I started the program with a year of Product Manager experience. However, I felt like I had done more program manager work than product management. The program helped me build up confidence while I practiced with both my peers as well as seasoned product managers in both Sam and Shobhit. The initial six weeks of the program gave me a great foundation based on updating my resume, working on a job search strategy and practicing stories for interviews.
