Interval is such a joke

Interval is terrible. My parents own a timeshare with Marriott Bonvoy and they converted points to Interval for some unknown reason. Interval charges so many fees for anything you do. Not only that, you can't use hotel points if you have a resort timeshare and no where on the website mentions this until after you book. I actually booked a place in Melbourne and they charged over $200 in fees (including using the points), then they contacted us saying not allowed hotels. The website is also terrible - like HTML from the 90's. It actually is a legal form of scam. This website should be shut down.

Extremely disappointed with their


Extremely disappointed with their service. They do no stand behind their promises and only care about how much money they can bilk out of you with fees. If you have a problem with these guys, forget it. You are on your own. I am 20+ year member with these guys and it means nothing to them. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!

I'm being generous. Run, don't walk, away from anything having to do with Interval International. They make everything having to do with timeshare ownership worse. Sad but true.

Interval International isn't a value any longer

II has lost my recommendation to others. They always push you to deposit your week but they really don't have inventory to exchange. I would normally stay on an exchange in sea pines Hilton Head. Been trying for over a year without success
Their reps say the same statements that if a week becomes available you will be matched. I believe Marriott has change the system programing on matching their customers over those that have the basic II member ship. Will not be using II after my membership expires. Move to RCI.

I wish there was a negative rating

I wish there was a negative rating. Interval sucks! We never get what we booked. Supposed to have full size villa got put in a efficiency room. Never anything available. Treated terrible by Marriott in Orlando FL. Sheraton Vistana Resort. Agree with the person who thinks there needs to be a class action suit.

This is the Worst Company by far

This is the Worst Company by far! We bought a getaway. Got to the resort after flying from Wi To Florida and were denied access due to cable not working. We called Interval and we’re told there was nothing they could do. Then stole our $700. Refusing to refund our money as we scrambled to find a hotel. We then called back. They think stealing your money and having no access to what your bought us legal. Then tried to get me to give them another $219 to rebook. Thank god fir credit card companies. This company should be out of business. Complete fraud.
Horrible Horrible Company and customer service. Don’t waste your time!

I would use no stars if I could

I would use no stars if I could. Interval is a garbage company. We had a stay at a resort that had structural damage a week before our stay. I thought that's no big deal, what can you do to make this right? There answer was "Sorry you don't have travel insurance". The problem was not on our end and they would not make good for it. I mean look at the other reviews. Complete SCAM!

Great company!

Interval is the best all these people complaining actually think they are going to exchange for free . you can set up a request do research on the resorts where you want to go and pick the best. These people that had a horrible experience its their fault they choose they book lazy bums dont want to research the place where they are going. Overall great company@

Interval is a big scam

Interval is a big scam. I was so stupid to exchange my luxurious one bedroom villa in St. John USVI for something in Europe and after having waited over a year to get a place of my list, I got one in Sardinia, Residence Liscia di Vacca, that deserves one star 🌟 only because of the location. The villa is so basic, furniture horrible, kitchen no words, you have to pay rent for the linen, you have to provide your own soap, toilet paper, dish washing soap, etc. And finally I am very upset with the Marriott Group that allows its own customers to be cheated like this!

I would give them a zero if possible. Run away from interval and CLC

I would give them a zero if possible. I exchanged 2 weeks via Club La Costa travel just before the pandemic struck. I then phoned them up when travel restrictions were lifted but they only extended my membership for an extra 6 months. Since then, I have been unable to get a decent accomodation with them and though they were able to offer some options, these were no good for my family. Additionally, the cost of most of their resorts are around £200 - £300 for 7 nights whereas I paid £900 for a week with CLC. Due to interval being unable to offer me a suitable accomodation, I have no choice to forfeit my two weeks at a cost of £1800. Both interval and CLC refused to extend my membership and keeping passing me back and forth with all sort of silly excuses. Do not sign up to CLC or Interval! It is cheaper to book your holiday on a need basis rather than being tied into a ridiculous timeshare designed to leave you out of pocket!!!

I feel like a complete moron having bought into this program. It is an absolute scam. They sell you on flexibility to exchange weeks for hotel stays but there is ZERO availability even months in advance, even for just 3 days instead of a week. Despite being willing to pay additional cash on top of exchanging my week, there is no availability with these bozos in the entire city of New York! What kind of useless and frustrating website has you plug in the dates of travel, shows you 23 pages of hotels to select, but then says no rooms are available for those dates every time you click on a listed hotel??? I called customer service twice, was told to call again during a weekday (as if I'm planning my vacations and not working during work hours!). When I did call on a weekday, I got transferred three times, and finally the service representative said he was having the same issue, put in a ticket for IT to resolve the issue and told me to call again after the weekend.
I knew nothing would be fixed after the weekend and asked to speak to a supervisor. After waiting, they just discussed the issue behind the scenes and decided the issue was not technical but one of availability. To test the waters, I looked for a room 3 months from now during non-peak travel (2nd week of December in NYC), and STILL no availability. If I go to Expedia, however, there are thousands of rooms available. What an absolute shell company and absolute scam. Shame on them, and shame on me! DO NOT BUY INTO MARRIOTT VACATION CLUB AND DO NOT EXCHANGE WITH INTERVAL!

I would give Interval no stars if I could . This company is part of Marriott and I swear that they exist only to screw everyone that deposits with them when it’s time to redeem a vacation week. You can expect to be charged to death for every transaction in addition to their membership fees. On three occasions I deposited prime Marriott Aruba Ocean Club and Surf Club Villa’s with Oceanside views of Palm Beach only to get back of the building views of decrepit parking lots as an exchange. Interval/Marriott customer care is horrible at best and they should be totally embarrassed . I will never do business with Interval again and I am extremely disappointed with Marriott as well.

Unsafe, unvetted resorts and no customer support

Used to be valuable. Now a complete scam to take retired people's money. They don't visit resorts. Some are in such disrepair they are unsafe. I leaned on a railing over a cliff and it nearly gave way because the wood was rotten. When I complained that I couldn't have my children there as it was unsafe, they told me there was nothing they could do. They said they never give money back for Getaways no matter the circumstances. They also couldn't return the travel insurance money. They only offered a certificate that was useless because it could not be used for Getaways like the one we paid for AND could only be used 59 days or less before travel, when, of course, there would be no availability. Very very frustrating process and lack of customer support after waiting hours (literally) to get someone on the phone. In the end, after all the disappointment, we found it much more enjoyable and peaceful to have a staycation at home.

No Choice no availability its a scam to sell getaways

choice of accommodation is awful. There is never any where to book for exchanges yet when you look at getaways all the accommodation is there to buy for extra money for them - its just a travel agent not fit for exchanges on timeshare. The exchanges which was its purpose are hardly available to book. awful experience

Reading all these reviews in some ways is a comfort I was beginning to wonder if it was just us,we have had a Marriott timeshare at Cypress Harbour Orlando over 30yrs we bought pre-construction and have been very happy with it going every year.
We now wanted to sell as long haul is to much I am 78 and my husband has Parkinson’s so we went on the MARRIOTT sight which they say is to help you sell your Timeshare it said all the right things like they would give a fair price they were there to help blah blah blah and that is all it was,we rang them to organise selling the upshot was they would take it off our hands but would give us nothing not even $500 we mentioned the website and what we had read they ignored that and made some feeble excuse about it. We rang a lawyer familiar in timeshare sales his advise was this happens all the time just let them have it as it can end up costing a lot of money and stress trying to fight it (and that is something my husband can do without) and selling through another company can be filled with complications, so they got it for nothing I would STRONGLY advise people not to deal with MARRIOT they are not to be trusted, they will be all over you like a wet rash while trying to sell to you but when it comes to Helping you they are nowhere to be seen, so our two weeks ownership in Orlando Florida that they received for nothing will be currently being sold as part of their stock for around $40.000

I don't recommend anyone to buy


I don't recommend anyone to buy Interval International membership. I am stuck with them paying thousands of $dollars each year with no great service.
This time share has many problems.
1) They are expensive and you never get to book location of your choice.
2) The Interval International time share doesn't have any proper website that can show your pending points to book reservations.
3) They send you confirmation about your reservation and later after few weeks when I booked my travel They say you reservation is not confirmed. Then why the hell you sent me the confirmation you show pending confirmation.
4) When you call customer service then you have to spend entire day as they will keep transferring you from one place to another.
There are many things they need to improve..
In short don't buy don't get stuck like me. I am very sad and dissatisfied with them.

Interval is owned by the Mariott and I find that they will not make right how they have ripped me off. They charged me 4000 pts and a $209 exchange fee, which in real dollars totals close to $1800 for a substandard resort. The resort I booked through them can be purchased anywhere online for around $500 for the exact same thing. They took a nice Mariott resort away from me during Covid and I never did get an comparable resort. Their attitude is, "You're just a sucker, take this and be happy. Use due dilligence when booking, blah, blah,..." With all their resorts, they should have restored what was lost. Also, it shouldn't cost you 3 to 5 times as much to book a resort as can be found online. If anyone ever does a class action law suit, count me in please!
