This has made my communication with my clients easy and compliant with state regulations. I am a therapist who needs a voicemail, text,and calling but not from my personal line and iPlum does the trick!
Was looking for a phone service/app I could use for work. Needed a separate local work number that offered scheduling text messages, sending out broadcast messages, mark messages as unread, a customized ringtone, and kept a separate work-only contacts list. I switched from Google voice to iPlum last month and have been sooo happy. It's saved me so much time and headache and works a million times better than GoogleVoice.
iPlum got my business line up and running quickly. I appreciate the secure text abilities in order to communicate with clients. The interface is easy to use and works well with my business. The price is reasonable.
There are lots of helpful tutorials on how to use the platform that easily explain the step by step process. It has been easy to use thus far and is great for HIPPA compliant confidential client communication.
I have been using iPlum for just over 1 month. So far, my experience has been excellent. Getting my number ported in was easy and did not take as long as I worried it would. It is nice to have a secure text and phone line for my business.
I like that it has calling and texting options. It has it's own app that works well, but the user who you are calling or texting doesn't need to use the app and your call/text shows up like a regular call/text on their end.
My experience with iPlum has been great! Super easy to sign up, and a much better cost than my last company. I look forward to using it for my company forever.

iPlum has been an excellent solution for separating personal and professional calls. The app is intuitive, dependable, and perfect for busy clinicians. Features like voicemail, texting, and call routing work smoothly and save significant time daily.

I transitioned from another app-based phone system to iPlum because of the HIPAA compliance and ability to save contacts. Once I got past the initial hurdle of the text authorization, which was well supported by iPlum, all has gone well. During the transition, I received customer support via email and a Zoom call. All questions and troubleshooting was handled thoroughly until completion.
It was easy to set up my account, and even got a great deal on it for paying for the full year. I’m a counselor and needed a hippa compliant number for texting and receiving voicemails. IPlum was perfect!
Great service, but needs dark mode and customizable bubble colors. Adding keyboard shortcuts and a setting to choose the default landing page (like messages) would make this a five-star app.
IPLUM has been a game changer for my business. My labor has been decreased reducing repetitive calls to patients with no answer or voicemail.
This was very easy to set up for my business. The text feature took a few days to get established, but it is worth it. The app on my phone is easy to navigate- straightforward. It has worked seamlessly, and I have not had any glitches or issues to date. Pricing is right too!
This is heads above any other app of its kind. After trying and failing with several other apps for several years I was fortunate to stumble on this service. I deal with many international clients and it has been cumbersome to be able to effectively communicate. Now I have the ability to call or text with ease.
I can't recommend this app enough.
I started using Plum when I opened my private practice. It is so easy to use, since you only have to install the app on your phone. I love that it has a feature to send text messages, so convenient for clients. It has a plan that is HiPAA compliant
Easy to use, user friendly and affordable option to stay HIPPA compliant. I looked around at several different options and really glad I chose this one. It gives me all the features I most need.
Customer service for iplum is great. The people I have spoken with have been super helpful. I was able to transition to the new phone system right away. Only thing I would like is to be able to talk to someone faster than setting up a video call each time.

"Start using your iPlum: 2nd Phone Number App subscription
You've made a subscription purchase from iPlum on Google Play.
Use your subscription within 3 days on an Android device to make sure it's registered with the developer. If you don't use it by Dec 3, 2025, it will be canceled for you, and you'll be refunded for any payment made."
So you say it's from "non-approval" but Google says it's from "non-use". Now, maybe I'm crazy here, but if I get an email telling me to use my application--and that application is a SECOND PHONE LINE, then making and receiving calls from that number would constitute USING THE APPLICATION ON MY DEVICE. Is that a crazy thought? Tell me where I'm wrong here.
So imagine my surprise, while using your application on my device--as suggested in the email--my service gets cancelled. And refunded.
I didn't want it cancelled. I didn't want it refunded. I wouldn't have put the phone number on advertisements and websites IF I WANTED IT REFUNDED!!!!
So, by NO MISTAKE OF MY OWN, your customer support told me that I'd need to pay $49.99 to reinstate a number that I NEVER WANTED CANCELLED.
#2nd Edit. The phone number was registered for a doctor's office whose booking and scheduling is done almost ENTIRELY online. The phone number was simply a formality for anyone who might not feel comfortable with an online format. I'm not sure which phone call would have gotten me flagged for spamming, the ONE TEST CALL I made, or the 2-3 phone calls I received in the few days of service I had with iPlum. I did contact customer service, who informed me it would cost $49.99 to reinstate a phone number that your faulty software canceled.
#Edit, again, you can see them CIRCUMVENTING the problem of my service being CANCELED despite doing what was asked of me.
My theory is they intentionally cancelled my policy because it was thru Google Play and they didn't want to pay a percentage out to a 3rd party. That's the only conclusion I can come to.
So my original post still stands: Horrible experience with iPlum! I signed up for the service and only bought a month when I meant to purchase a year. ($20 bucks a month is a little steep when I can add a second phone line for $30.) Glad I didn't. Once I got my website updated with my new phone number, they canceled my service from "Lack of Use". I got an email that said, "You must use the application from your device within 3 days or your subscription will be canceled."
Well, I figured using the second phone line by making phone calls and receiving phone calls and responding to voice mails would suffice. It did not.
My subscription was canceled much to my surprise. And when I contacted customer support they seemed more concerned that they lost money on my transaction. The cool part? SO DID I! You have to pay $20 extra dollars to be able to text from the virtual phone line, something I didn't know before I started.
But they didn't seem too concerned with my losses. Save yourself some time and heartache and google alternate virtual phone lines for your service. You'll be glad you did.

Don't expect any help from customer service. They have no one answering the phones. You can email them but the responses to your emails are often unprofessional, short, and poorly explained, sometimes with insufficient information to answer your question or provide a resolution to your issue. Calls frequently get dropped or there are issues answering calls. The customer service people want you to send them the specific calls that were dropped and nothing really changes. I asked them remove my fax number because I moved it to another provider. They told me it was moved and the account was closed, but I was still getting faxes to iplum. Then when I asked them about it, they deleted the account before I could open any of the faxes. When I told them I needed to see those faxes as we are a busy practice and are referral sources are counting on us to receive faxes so we can provide services to their patients, they told me sorry the faxes were gone and they couldn't help me.
