Overall, I am happy with IPlum. The wait time (about ten days) to get up and running with the number I chose was frustrating in that it complicated contact with clients. Since it’s been in effect, it’s been good but I have experienced some hiccups - I sent a couple of texts and the texts didn’t actually send. It wasn’t until I reached out to clients again that I found out they texts hadn’t sent. I had a notice after my text that said “invalid number”, even though I had already texted to this number before and after sending that text.
I moved over from another online phone service. The iPlum team was very responsive and helpful with the transition, answering my questions, helping me set up the account, port the numbers, and so on.

Using iPlum for my business makes it so easy for me to organize my calls and messages without requiring a second phone.
It is an apt service for small businesses- very easy to get started, was a bit confused on how to set up everything esp text registration and would give 5 stars if they set up an onboarding call for new clients as part of the start up process. They do have guides posted - but it could be written in a simpler manner. Quality of calls and text messaging is great. I was able to set up 1:1 cal, the rep was great! Once initial set up was done correctly - it is very straightforward and easy to use. Highly recommend the service.

iPlum has a lot of features to help me manage my business. My favorite is that it lets me know when I'm about to receive a business call so that I can prioritize more easily.
iPlum a helpful Google Voice alternative
I chose iPlum for my mental health business's phone solution as I am moving away from Google. I love their focus on privacy and security. I especially love the ability to have secure texting for my clients. My experience has been very positive and I will recommend them to others.
IPlum makes managing my private practice easy with its HIPAA-compliant service. I love that I can have automatic text replies during specific hours. The app and web portal is simple and intuitive to use too.

The instructions listed in the online guides make everything super easy when starting with iPlum. I was able to find everything in the online guide, so I didn't even need to open a customer support ticket when setting up.
Wish I didn't have to click icons on the side to access tools. Also, and I understand if this is my issue, I don't believe I'm getting notifications from iPlum. Other than that, despite the laborious process of getting access to everything iPlum offers, it's worked well for me.
App is convenient to use on desktop and provides a great way to keep a secure mailbox and texting for my clients.
Account set up was very fast and simple. Made it easy to start my small private practice and instantly have a way to communicate with prospective clients. Easy to use on my personal phone while protecting my phone number.
Shawn was extremely helpful. He was attentive to my request and patient. I appreciate him being thorough with iPlum's services.
I use iPlum to stay in touch with my therapy clients between sessions, and it works exactly as I need it to. Calls and texts come through seamlessly, and from the client’s perspective, it looks like a normal text message, which is great.
The one small headache was getting the TCR (Carrier Text Registry) setup—took about a week and a half, and I had to email support to move things along. Not the end of the world, but a bit of a hassle.
What I like most is the ability to set up out-of-office messages and the simplicity of the app. It’s not overloaded with unnecessary features, just clean and easy to use.
Having a separate number for clients instead of giving out my personal cell has been very nice. It’s reliable, functional, and does exactly what I need it to do.

It was easy to port numbers over from our previous service. It was very quick and easy to add a new number. The app is easy to use. The approval to text took much less time than our previous provider. When I send in a question it is quickly answered. The price is much better than our previous provider. So far we have not had any service problems with calls. I’m very happy we made the switch.
I use iPlum for my work number. I appreciate how seamless the calling and text messages are. I really like the ability to set up custom DND times. The customizability in general is great. I haven’t had any issues with dropped or fuzzy calls. It’s been great so far.
