WARNING

WARNING! READ! I will leave this here until ITop resolves this and gets back to me.

This is not about the product itself since I am not interested in using it. And that is the problem. A driver updating software from IOBit forced this upon me through an ad in the worst possible way.

1: The ad falsely claimed that I was prone to a very serious security risk and that the solution was to install iTop VPN.

2: It didn't, as far as I could tell, give me an option to skip installation.

3: The VPN software installed IMMEDIATELY after clicking the ad – NO DIALOG OPTIONS or anything.

Thanks for the answer.

I really don't need you advertising your product in the answer, i.e. "military grade" protection. This makes me even more skeptical.

Thanks for forwarding the issue. Although this could just as well be no more than words. Get back to me when the issue is resolved, i.e. the ad practice is fixed.

Thanks for your feedback and sorry for the trouble.

At present, we are partnered with IObit to help us promote our product iTop VPN, which can provide private access to the Internet with military-grade protection.

Almost all IObit products are recommending this app, you may forget to uncheck the checkbox from some app when you install that app.

THIS IS A FRAUDULANT HACKING ACT BY THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE FORCING THE END USER TO INSTALL THEIR VPN SOFTWARE BY WAY OF ADS THAT YOU ARE UNABLE TO X, CLOSE, EXIT FROM. THE ONLY OPTION IS TO CLICK ON THE AD WHICH BEGINS TO INSTALL SOFTWARE THAT I DID NOT WANT, BUT THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO CLOSE/ESCAPE THE AD. I HAVE REPORTED THIS COMPANY TO THE FBI, HOMELAND SECURITY AND THE NSA. DO NOT DO USE THIS SOFTWARE THEY ARE HACKIING USERS.

We have some partners and they will help to recommend our product. If you do not need iTop VPN you can click the top right "X" icon to close the popup window. For some other products that are recommending this app in their installation, you may need to uncheck the checkbox from some apps when you install that app. If you have already installed iTop VPN and do not need it, please just uninstall it.

My experiences with itop

This service provided by itop is amazing , love it very much fast and secure + get 700mb daily usage for free which is very good . With premium get unlimited data plan + ad blocking support and etc which is brilliant , all that is can say is award-winning service.

Scareware which displays unsolicited, tech-illiterate popups on the desktop, meant to look like OS warnings.

Also very slow.
