I’d rate J&J 3.5 stars if I could. It’s definitely a brilliant idea with lofty goals, but is plagued by a few problems.

The good:
- definitely floats jobs that you wouldn’t find on LinkedIn. The job market right now is very bad, and finding those niche postings are really key. J&J helps with that!
- the interview practice with Jack is actually solid. He asks pretty thoughtful questions that allow you to get ahead of things.
- Jack casts a wide net for those of us with a lot of varied experience, which is also great.
- the email Jack sends is super helpful. He lists “bullseyes” separately from other postings so it floats the roles that meet your criteria strictly.

Room for growth:
- the interface can be glitchy and difficult to get started with if you don’t take the time to learn.
- the “Jill” component is largely useless to the job seeker. You have no transparency into what she’s doing or how she’s conveying your application, or where she’s even recommending you. It seems like there’s a very small number of jobs where Jill will advocate for your application, but again, you have no visibility into which jobs she’ll do this for, or where she is in the process.
- Jack often gets seniority wrong. I’ve told him many times that X-level is too low, or Y-level is too high, and he’ll clutter my feed with them anyway.
- sometimes the rejection options sway jack’s understanding of the job recommendations too much. For example, he may recommend a job that seems like a perfect match, but the specific company does something so outside of my wheelhouse. When you provide that feedback, it almost scares him for recommending those *roles* across any company. When in fact, the role is great! my gripe is just with that specific company!
- feed clutters FAST. When there’s 500+ recommendations, it’s overwhelming. I’d love a tagline that says in simple terms what a company is/does, rather than a block of reworded text from the About page.
- I’d love an option that tiers the job recommendations. Rather than “interested” and “not for me,” there’s something like “I’ll get there, but it’s not a priority” or a way to segment the jobs that are 50% of the way there into their own bucket. Tiering the postings would help us get more organized.

Overall, a TON of potential. I could talk forever about J&J and I’ve become a bit of an expert on it at this point. Despite its room for growth, I’m still a fan.

Smoke and mirrors. A great sounding chatbot with nothing underneath it. No tech support team. Endless bugs. Worst of all... no real jobs. A total scam.

Jack & Jill is a great product that's really helping me with my job search. It helps with tailoring my CV and finding roles that I wouldn't otherwise. As someone who's been underpaid for a while, I also love the salary benchmarking feature! The product is still in development so there's occasional bugs and way more it could do, I can't wait to see where it goes

Shittt experience.. I stopped using jack and Jill ..recently I found that I am getting email from jack about few companies job opportunities which I have applied from LinkedIn 3 weeks ago .. shitttt experience with chat. Until now I got 4 opportunities from Jill and somehow it never got pushed or never got opportunity to set up an intro call. And then Jill emails that let’s not waste time I have got more job opportunities
Pathetic experience I would recommend don’t rely on this at all keep applying job from other sites or LinkedIn is best.

Product promises a lot but doesn't deliver. I have used this for a number of months and it's just nonsense - doesn't match the hype and marketing.

Im convinced they're doing something behind the scenes to hoover up data and do something with it.

For a solid 2 months, it worked well. Get a list of jobs every other day. When there were no jobs? No problem, a mail letting me know. There were a few minor issues here or there - hallucinating people at companies - but if you do your due diligence as a human, it was no big deal.

Now, Jack breaks - legitimately - every week. I have to contact support or the CEO to let them know every week. Sounds like they need to scale up the infra.

Another piece of friction in getting a job. AI is certainly not our hero!

This is a very promising service.. as in it's promising everything, but none of those things are true. It makes things up ("I can make an intro to the founder!" is just one of those)

It's a great idea, but the 'agent' is quite impersonal and so flaky that it should be a croissant instead.

Pros: It's great they sent recommendations over email.
Cons: I could find these positions myself too. Some of the positions are just AI hallucinations and have little to nothing to do with my preferences or profile. I've to feed the AI bot a lot of instructions which it eventually forgets in a couple of weeks. Remember not to treat it as a human who knows what to or not to share if your potential employer, it could cost you an opportunity.

Really help me get interviews for companies I am really interested in with my narrow filters

What a fantastic service, in a market where most recruiters don’t even engage with you Jack has become my coach and champion. From finding roles I have never come across to suggesting roles I hadn’t thought about. Few tweaks needed but he adapts quickly to feedback and the dashboard and daily email updates are fantastic when you next to be fast to apply in this current environment.

After the initial online screening, they were supposed to put my CV forward to the hiring manger of the job I was interested. I received an email the next week that the job in question was publicly listed and I should apply myself.
Don't bother with them. All the job offerings they sent me, I could find myself on LinkedIn

One of the best AI products I have used. The mock interviews are fantastic and actually believe it helped me land a job in less than a month. It's totally free as well.

It never felt like I was talking to an agent. In some cases Jack was more helpful than a real recruiter.

Jack was patient and asked me the right set of questions to understand what I really want and need to find job thad take me to next level in my career.

I'm not a fan of AI, but this tool finds good jobs I wasn't finding without it. It's nice to be able to talk to an algorithm for once.

Jack's been a great side kick in helping look for new jobs. He takes your brief, learns what you do and don't like from roles presented and learns from it to send you more and more suitable roles.

I'm yet to find many matches from Jill where she puts me forward but the process so far has shown me a lot of roles I would've missed through standard searches.
