Great place for fitness. 10/10

Availability of machines, weights, rack etc is great. Plenty of space. Opening times are good as well. Only reason it isn't 5 stars is that there is one piece of equipment missing, an assault runner, but that is specific to my training.

Great gym, lots of equipment!

Love the gym and the layout lot of weights and the very clean and tidy staff are very welcoming too Also I think having fresh running water is cracking

I am a member of the JD Gym in East Kilbride. In October 2022 I noticed that there were several large pot holes on the access road to the gym car park. These pot holes had been there for a while but had become deeper and wider due to the cold and wet weather conditions due to the time of year.

The pot holes were so wide and deep that they could potentially cause damage to members cars when driving into the car park.

I spoke to a member of staff at JD Gym who made me that other members had complained about the condition of the road and some people had damage to their cars due to the pot holes.

The gym car park also has several pot holes and floods when there is any rainfall causing large deep puddles in the car park.

I emailed the manager of the gym to share my concerns about the condition of the road and car park in October 2022. I received a response from the manager who stated that the road and car park was “high on his list of priories”. He also stated that JDGyms head office would be dealing with the matter.

With no further responses and the condition of the road and car park deteriorating due to winter weather I emailed the manager again in January 2023. He responded that the area manager had been passed my emails and I would be passed feedback.

I have has no further response from JD Gyms and members cars are still at risk of damage approximately 3 months after I raised my concerns.

I really enjoy using this gym but it I am really disappointed at the lack of action or any kind of response from JD Gyms in relation potential damage to members cars due to the road and car park for the gym.

Recently joined the gym, and do quite like the womens section, its good sized and a good selection of machines and weights

The gym is great, good equipment and atmosphere. Overall very happy
If could improve anything it would be the app, show how many visits I’ve been, show upto date gym specific information etc etc
Edit, I should also say that the gym has been very clean every time I’ve went and have saw people cleaning every visit so far

Can’t praise this Gym enough and I’ve been in many including David Lloyd, Virgin Active, Esporta. Nuffield, Local Authority, and more.

Can’t find a timetable for the classes that they offer or book in for any classes.

Will definitely be back. Clean and well equipped.

Joined the gym as a complete novice with a friend as looking to increase my fitness levels. I'm a female in my late 40's and have no previous experience of being part of a gym therefore had asked for a walk round and some tips on how to use the equipment. I didn't book a full PT session as still finding my feet and deciding whether this is what I need. The young male that took us round (well took us to a PT room) could not have been less interested and quite honestly has reduced my confidence levels of your gym to zero. Myself and my friend then went into the ladies only part of the gym and struggled our way through trying to work out how to use the machines. We've now come away rather deflated instead of being excited and I've gone to an independent PT for guidance on what I should be doing to achieve my goals as I don't have the confidence in the PT's in your EK facility. I understand the gym is recently under new management so hopefully things will vastly improve over the coming months. Such a shame as the gym itself is pretty amazing with lots of space and equipment to use.

Unfortunately I need to cancel my membership ship due to health issues and no longer can train. I've not been in the gym in 3 months due to this bit hoped I'd get better. 30th Sept I sent email to request for cancellation giving 30 days notice. I had just paid my membership payment on the 26th Sept so thought I'd have a pro-rata payment to make for the 4 days from the 26th Oct to 30th Oct as that would be the 30 days as requested. No, they want another full months payment on the 26th saying I can still have access to the gym until the 26th Nov. I don't need another full month's access as I can't train.
UPDATE- JD Team. Yes, that is correct someone has come back but they have simply advised it was in my contract. I've never had to pay a full month membership / subscription for running over another payment once cancellation has been advised. Its always been taken pro-rata. If you can send me a copy of that contract it would be very much appreciated.

I have been a member of this gym for several years but I am now considering ending my membership. The gym is closed when the official site says it is open. Communication is non existent. I can only assume that this is due to a Royal funeral but there's been no email or even a message to customers on the site.

Fantastic size with what looks like very new equipment. Plenty of space and opportunity to work out. I like the free classes as an added bonus.
I did book an induction here but no one showed up hence why the 4 stars.

Great range and amount of equipment. Good size with everything spaced out. Studios and womens gym is good. Nice changing rooms and showers and facility is nice and clean. Plenty of parking. Nice atmosphere and staff member helpful when I asked to be shown around before joining. Only flaw is air con isn't great!

Good gym, it has lots of equipment. I’ve been to a few different gyms and would say nothing really stands out for this gym, except for a womens only section but I know other gyms do that too.

My only complaint would be is it can get unhealthily warm, I have been at a few different times/ days, where it has been packed and also 20 or less people in and it’s a very warm gym, during the busier periods with the volume of people it can make you feel unwell, however this is my option, I just go at quieter times.

Still a good gym with all equipment you’d need, it’s closer for me hence why I have moved to this one.

Great equipment especially the boxing bags being working since I was 16 when I joined the army and have been many gyms your is the best gym I have been yet

Great place with friendly staff, Machines are well sanitised and looked after. Great environment, overall great place to work out.

Love the layout of this gym and the quality of equipment is too standard. The gym is always clean with a good energy from the lighting and music surrounding. An excellent team of trainers who are always in hand to help - especially Michael!!
