I put a price in before auction they told me I was there first offer and a great offer, meant to tell me 11am next morning but said still negotiating until 1pm I waited and when they rang me they said it’s sold I tried to offer another 25,000 on Duff street Black rock property but they wouldn’t take my offer it was a closed shop corruption at its highest form. No one returned my calls the vendor missed out on another 25000, bid. Brighton Jellis Craig is corrupt and I wouldn’t recommend them at all.

Had an absolutely horrible experience with Jellis Craig! Our settlement date was close to Christmas, but our vendor did not move out on this date, claiming he wasn’t aware of this deadline date.

We will never know whether this was pure ignorance, or failure to receive required communication, but regardless, we were left scrambling, with very little support or assistance from these agents.

Attempts to contact any Jellis Craig agent fell on deaf ears, as they’d all diverted their phones to ‘holiday mode’, and the one agent that was allegedly working at this time, informed us that he was away and couldn’t help.

We were never offered a final inspection, so we were left with a property in a filthy state, with no recourse to follow up, as they’d all clocked off for the year.

Furthermore, a previous property that we owned, neighboured a property that JC was selling. The agent felt it appropriate to hand out my personal details to the buyer, without my permission.

They couldn’t care less, once the deal is done.
Don’t make the mistake of using these selfish people. They are the epitome of the quintessential, self-serving real estate agents!

Review for Jellis Craig Bayside Glen Eira – Experience with Jacquie Douglas

My experience with this agency deteriorated the moment my property was assigned to Jacquie Douglas. The mismanagement was constant and exhausting.

• Lease renewal ignored for five months, despite repeated written requests.
• Approved carpet quote left to expire, then I was told to pay more because nothing was actioned.
• Jacquie applied pressure on me to pay to move the tenants’ furniture, even though Consumer Affairs confirmed it was the tenants’ responsibility.
• Emails ignored, incorrect advice given, and basic tasks left undone unless I chased them.
• An incorrect lease‑renewal fee was charged to the trust account, even though it had been waived in writing — and I had to identify and request the correction myself.

Because of this ongoing mismanagement, I changed agencies, and the difference in professionalism was immediate.
Based on my experience, I strongly advise landlords to avoid Jacquie Douglas at Jellis Craig Bayside.

1st thing to mention is that months after giving management of the rental we were leasing back to the house owner, they tried to keep our bond, even though they had nothing to do with the property at that time. Jacquie Douglass is responsible for this, and for not processing a payment made to rent by a charity organization, supporting us through financial hardship. They just tried to keep the money, keep the bond, and not tell the owner. In fact Jacquie Douglass lied to the owner to enable a VCAT case. She also tried to record me during a meeting, without consent. I have made many complaints to consumer affairs, and happy to provide any evidence of my claims. These people are corrupt, and do not care if they make you homeless. They are lucky that justice can only be legally implimented through government.

This is the worst Real Eatate Agency I have dealt with in 40 years.We used a guy called Nick Renna.
I just could not recommend him at all!!!

Jaquie Douglas and the team from Bayside are the most disgusting people I have ever had to deal with when it comes to renting.
These people actually asked a widow, whose husband had just passed away, to email me. Their lack of professionalism and arrogance prevent them from acting ethically or holding themselves accountable.
As it stands they stopped managing the property months ago, but still control the Bond. They have stopped me from getting my bond back, even though they gave management back to the landlord.
This company took $2059 of a charity's money, and allocated it for our rent, and we don't know where it went, but it did not to the landlord, and it did not pay for our rent. But they held it. These people are pure scum.

Rebecca is dedicated, passionate and professional.
She is extremely proactive, committed and will go the extra mile for you 100% of the time.

The whole process from start to finish was exceptionally good and seamless due to her
expertise, knowledge and experience.

In the pursuit to achieve a premium price for our property, she would ensure that no stone is unturned. 

All in all, we can’t speak highly enough of Bec as we only experienced the highest levels of service, professionalism and skill from her and the Jellis Craig team.

We loved our experience with the amazingly professional yet super personable Melina Scriva! She made selling our house off-market a breeze and kept us in the loop and calm throughout the whole process. It only took two weeks for Melina and her great colleagues at Jellis Craig to match our home with a successful vendor.
We have no hesitation recommending Melina and the team at Jellis Craig Bayside.

Danielle Harvey was outstanding to work with. As we were selling our family home, there is always extra emotion that is associated with this type of Sale, and Danielle made the experience as seamless as possible. Calvin was very quick to respond to my enquires. He was clear and honest with what was happening in regards to private offers, and was really accommodating to last minute requests.

We recently bought our home in Mentone through Danielle Harvey of Jellis Craig. We viewed the property on a Saturday, met Danielle and on the same day received all the relevant paperwork we could have our solicitor review. By Tuesday early evening we made a formal offer, taking on Danielle’a advice of what the vendor would be receptive to - what we conveniently forgot about is that others would have also fallen in love with the home! Danielle facilitated counter offers from us and another interested party till midnight that evening! We were all exhausted but so very grateful for her honesty, hard work and invaluable advice. We would absolutely recommend Danielle and Jellis Craig to any potential seller or buyer in the bayside area - we instantly connected with her and had trust and confidence we weren’t being ‘taken for a ride’ and that ‘market forces’ rendered a result that both sides were happy and comfortable with.

I highly recommend Calvin Read he is honest professional, hard working and totally committed to his work. Calvin keeps you well informed during the process of the sale. Calvin has looked after my nephew, my Mum and now myself during the sale of our Properties.
