Waited in for a delivery to be delivered Tuesday, it didn’t arrive then was told Wednesday, it didn’t arrive only to be told it would be Thursday and it didn’t arrive then told it would be Friday only to be told they were having difficulties delivering it 🤔

Badly let down by Jewson. Ordered online early Wednesday morning for a delivery Friday and with work planned using the materials over the weekend. 4pm today (Friday) Jewson's call and say that the crane on their Hiab truck has broken down and they can't deliver today or tomorrow (saturday). No driver on saturday apparently. very poor service and no alternative or compensation offered! I have an account with Jewson but will be reviewing this now.

I went to Jewson for a length of 2"x 1". The only length they had was 4.5 mtrs, much too long to fit in my car. I asked the assistant if he would cut it in half for me, only to be told that they didn’t have a cutting service. I then asked if it was possible to borrow a saw, the assistant said that he didn’t have a saw but offered to sell me a new one. At that point I told him that I would go elsewhere and left. Jewson lost a sale all for the sake of cutting a thin piece of wood. It will be a cold day in hell before I use Jewsons again.

Rented some tool's on line which was cheaper than the branch collected and returned within 24 hour hire period still waiting for the rest of my refund as they charged me the higher rental charge!!!!! Going to have to phone them as totally ignored my email!!! Won’t be using them again. Shame as just about to start building my new house!! There loss

Visited Jewsons, Leighton Buzzard Branch today to purchase one sleeper which I needed to be cut in half. I purchased four of these a few weeks ago.
My experience today was similar to when I visited a few weeks ago. The sales assistant was very helpful and Andy who provided the sleeper in the warehouse, went out of his way to be helpful. His colleague, who is authorised to use the electric saw, was at lunch. To save me having to return, Andy sawed the sleeper in half manually and in hot sunshine. I was very impressed.

THE COMPANY OVERCHARGED -THE ITEM SHOULD HAVE BEEN £29.99 BUT THE CHARGE WAS £40.87 TYRING TO GET ANY SENSE FROM THEIR AI ASSISTANT OR MITCHELL ON CHAT LINE, WAS IMPOSSIBLE. HAVING READ MANY RECENT REVIEWS I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE TO LEAVE THIS COMPANY WELL ALONE.I HAVE YET TO USE THE ITEM BUT CAN HAVE NO HOPE THAT IT WILL BE OF ANY USE.

Ordered a product on line but the picture did not match what was delivered.

Delivery driver Thomas was very helpful and dealt with the returns process himself via telephone conversations with the Newport store.

Jonathan at the Newport store was also very helpful and organised a full refund and a fresh order for the product I had expected.

My dealings with the portsmouth team have improved since Ian millhouse took over, his use of telephone sales with Paul works a treat and shows excellent customer service, well done. Problems come up but I like that Ian and Paul just get it sorted.

Hired a gas analyser and never heard from them Called and spoke to customer services that promised someone will call back and of course no-one did. Last time I will use this useless company

We made an order with Jason from Beddington Lane branch and had a lovely driver called Chris deliver it this morning.
He had a bit of trouble with the crane not working but could not be more apologetic. He managed to rectify the issue after a little while and even placed the materials on the drive in an order he knew the builders would need them. Great service and pleasure of meeting Chris who done a fantastic job.

Phoned Jewsons Haringey at 09.05 hrs to enquire about hiring a drill. I was told a lady would call me back in 5-10 minutes. Heard nothing for 15 minutes. Looked on Jewson website and it said to call a certain number for help and enquiries. The answer I got was “well I can’t help you. I’m hundreds of miles away and haven’t seen the job. Call your local branch”. I explained that the website said to phone this number for advice. Her response “well I’m sorry if that’s how you’ve taken it”!!! It got to 15:10 hrs and still no call from local branch so I called them. As I was explaining, he cut me off!! Never will Jewsons get any business from me! Disgusting.

I wanted some pea shingle from Deal Branch. Jewson's website indicates that both the small bags & bulk bags are not available for delivery or collection, so the conclusion is that the Branch is out of stock, so I made a purchase eslewhere. But when I visited the Branch later on the same day, they had tons of it!
Edit after Jewson reply: This looks like one of those standard replies from Jewson that doesn't respond to the issue raised. It's nothing to do with a vechicle incident; its about Jewson's website showing that a material is not available at a Branch, when it clearly is!

I needed some tiles, to replace on my existing roof in the corner......so today I was passing jewson(Nottingham basford branch) nice little shop and service counter....only one costimer ahead of me. At the counter I felt the older gent who dealt with me had a poor attitude like not a smile no hello, just are you paying cash or account....bit of a shame really as the products I seen and purchased we're of a very high standard (shame the counter service never matched) good service from the guy working out in the yard(said he was new to the store) nice chap.....hope my feedback helps, kind regards tony

Needed 2 shelves of plywood cut to size. Had to travel 12 miles to the nearest place that offered the service.
Staff were extremely helpful, greeted on entry, taken to mill. Shelves put in car for me. Great staff, who know how to treat a customer,

I went online on a Friday evening and ordered a cement mixer for the following Saturday…I had a confirmation email with a confirmed price saying that my local branch would contact me for payment.
Monday lunchtime and no contact so I rang my local branch and enquired about my online order to be told that they don’t not know anything about it and would chase it up.

Tuesday and still nothing so I emailed Jewsons tool hire.
The only reply I received was that I was copied into an email sent to a branch to process my order.
I finally got to speak to someone in branch to be told that they don’t have the item in my area so would have to get one from another area and charge me for it and apparently the online prices do not include delivery(I clicked delivery on the website).
My online total was around £70 and now it would be £180+ for the hire.
Why give a misleading online price and say that delivery is included and also that the item is available to hire!

Jewsons Chesterfield are the best building supplies in and around chesterfield. Do there best to get you on the road as quickly as possible. Just what you want when you getting prepared for your jobs. Just need to have free fruit days instead of pastry days

The manager even set more discount on my online account which is easier to now use so stops me ringing them up for better prices . The delivery drivers are spot on they try and get it where i want it. they are the best !! if you are using the online account Go in and see them and talk to them they will lower your prices on your account I dont spend £1000s with them a month just a one man band
Even the tool hire department is great. Credit where credit is due !!
