FROM HIS FIRST PIECE , made from broken vintage items found at London’s Portobello Market, Jianhui has been creating versatile sustainable fashion from recycled and upcycled materials for almost two decades. His hand crafted wearable art is loved not only by style icons such as Iris Apfel and celebrities like Lily Tomlin, Dame Prue Leith but also prestigious art museums such as MoMa, Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago and Museum of Art and Design in NYC runs a special exhibition for Jianhui’s sustainable designs on Earth Day every year. Sustainability is not a trend, but a mission to use resources well and help make our planet greener. This belief is central to everything he does, with his recycled leather collection winning a sustainability award at the NY Now show and his ‘Aqua’ collection being made entirely by hand from recycled plastic bottles and newspapers. Jianhui’s designs and the way he recycles materials have been used as examples in Smithsonian’s text book about climate and sustainability for its worldwide youth education. Jianhui has also been invited for a talk at the Climate School of Columbia University during the Climate Week in 2023. And above all, his designs are flamboyant, playful and simply JUST BEAUTIFUL.

The Brilliance of Jianhui
A visit to the Jianhui online site has become a daily pleasure. I think of each design as an artistic expression which intrigues me and delights my imagination. Fabulous Bracelets…
I absolutely love the big bangle bracelets I ordered in February from Jianhui. I love the colors which were red and silver. I also love the architectural design of both bracelets. Although they were a little large for my wrist Jianhui offered a wonderful solution to my problem. Their customer service is first class!

Exceeded All Expectations!
Very good quality product, shipped quickly and excellent communication. I had been searching for YEARS for a shorter length, large sized, black beaded necklace but they are VERY hard to find and this is the ONLY one I ever found to fit the bill and it exceeded my expectations.

Delighted with my purchases!
Your customer service was absolutely exceptional, and the necklaces are truly stunning. I’ve already received countless compliments!
The wooden heart pieces are completely one-of-a-kind. I wore them during a luxury market meeting with buyers from major marketplaces and wholesale accounts, and they stole the show. One London-based buyer even took photos of me to share with her team.
Yesterday, I paired the wooden hearts with my Love Tile necklace and matching earrings, and the response was overwhelming. I wore the set again today on a Teams call and during a market appointment, and people were literally hooting and hollering over how beautiful they were.
The craftsmanship, originality, and presence of these pieces are extraordinary. I couldn’t be more thrilled!!!

Flawless
In this order I splurged and purchased 9 items because my very first prior purchase was a great experience. As previous order these were shipped super fast, packaged so well that I don’t think it’s possible for any items to break. These pieces are exactly as pictured however more beautiful in person, more amazing at the touch. They are flawless, not an error or mark on them. Many thanks for your review. Apologies for the delayed response as we had a big fashion show in NYC at the end of Feb.
I'm glad to hear that you like our unique designs. About the newspaper earrings you bought for £19.00, if you don't mind, I just would like to share the process of making these earrings. So you may know that £19.00 for that pair of earrings is actually more than reasonable. By the way, there's also 20% VAT included in the price.
In order to make the newspaper waterproof and durable, we have to process it with lacquer, then we coat both sides with recycled mosquito net, finally we gilded it with a green gold leaf (the shiny green bits on the earrings).
All these were done by hands.
Finally, I just also would like to let you know that the earring hooks are 925 silver.
At Jianhui London, we work with artisans from disadvantaged background and we pay them fairly. We also help artisans to build small libraries in their villages for young kids.
I hope you are enjoying the earrings and we look forward to hearing from you in the future.
