I highly recommend Ju-Leh Adventure to anyone looking to book a trek in Ladakh. They were very helpful and professional in answering any questions while planning my itinerary. The trip itself was awesome. Super cool experience to stay in homestays. Perfect way to explore local culture and cuisine. Nawang, our guide, has been a real Star. Super friendly and fun, but also knowledgable and professional when our small group needed some guidance and help during acclimatisation. After a few mild AMS symptoms, Nawang helped with monitoring oxygen levels. This provided a lot of assurance to continue and the symptoms fortunately faded with time.

I’d love to come back at some point to explore the other valleys and peaks, I’m sure I’ll book trough Ju-Leh Adventures again!!

8 day trek in the Markha valley 2025
The trip was very well organised and the home stays were a great experience. We were welcomed by all of the hosts, they cooked outstanding food, supplied us with copious amounts of milk tea, mint tea n butter tea as well as providing hot water when needed. Sleeping was very good with new, very warm blankets being provided at all home stays. The time in the valley was a fantastic experience and we left with a solid understanding of their religion, their community n their way of life. Priceless. However it was our guide, Skarma, who really made the whole trip such a wonderful success. He went the extra mile every day, was a huge source of information, always happy n approachable n super keen to ensure that we had a brilliant trip. To Skarma I say a HUGE thank you for the top effort that you put into ensuring the trip went to plan n that we enjoyed the best experience ever. The passes were hard going, the scenery sensational n ever changing and the overall experience really positive. I thoroughly recommend Ju-Leh adventures, our guide Skarma n the 8 day trek. Simply wonderful.

Good and excellent

We did the Rumtse to Tso Moriri trek with Ju-Leh Adventure. Everything was very well organized and we had a really great time.
But what truly made our trip unforgettable were the incredible people who took really great care of us. Our guide, Konchok, was absolutely wonderful—he expertly led us across high mountain passes and made sure, that we are safe and happy. His excellent English and cheerful attitude made the trek really enjoyable.
We were also lucky to have Tenzin Navo, another highly experienced guide, on our tour. Navo was equally friendly, cheerful, and attentive, with excellent English (and he speaks eight other languages!). His warmth and expertise added so much to the trek.
And Sambhu, our cook, was amazing, too. Every meal he prepared was soooooo yummy. We had a great choice for breakfast and in the evening the dinner had several courses. And on the last day, he even surprised us with a homemade chocolate cake!
Konchok, Navo, and Sambhu ensured that everything ran smoothly and that we had a great time. They dealt with every issue in a friendly and professional way. They made our trek truly special.

Ju-Leh Adventure hat für unsere Gruppe den Sham Valley Trek und den Markha Valley Trek mit Homestay-Übernachtungen sowie einige Eintagestouren in perfekter Weise organisiert. Der Reiseablauf wurde per Email mit unseren Wünschen abgestimmt. Die Kommunikation mit der Agentur war beispielhaft, auf konkrete Fragen folgten umgehend konkrete Antworten. Alle Transfers in Ladakh von der Abholung am Flughafen Leh bis zum Ende unseres Aufenthaltes erfolgten pünktlich und zuverlässig. Auf den Treks hatten wir einen ausgezeichneten Guide, der sich um alle logistischen Dinge gekümmert hat und kompetent über das Land, die Menschen, ihre Kultur und Religion Auskunft gegeben hat. Die Kosten waren moderat, die Zahlungsabwicklung unkompliziert. Die Ladakh-Reise mit Ju-Leh Adventure bleibt ein unvergessliches Erlebnis.

Je suis parti sur ce trek en me joignant à un groupe. Les paysages sont sauvages et magnifiques. Les lacs d'altitude sont superbes sans parler des yaks et autres ânes sauvages. L'équipe Ju-leh est aux petits soins pour nous, le guide, les assistants, le cuisinier et le horseman. Merci

I did a 10-day trek with Ju-Leh through the Markha Valley to climb Kang Yatse 2. I have a lot of backcountry experience but had never done a guided trek before (with a guide, cook and porter) and this experience was wonderful. This part of Ladakh is gorgeous but quite rugged, and so having a knowledgable and skilled guide not only kept us safe on the trail but provided a rich cultural experience throughout the trip. The food was great, and they made everything easy. Great value for money and I'd go back into the mountains with Ju-Leh again in a heartbeat.

From start to finish our Markha Valley trek with Ju-Leh Adventure was absolutely fantastic. From the first contact I had with Dawa it was already clear to me that Ju-Leh is a very professional and experienced trekking agency. The information they provided us about the trek was very detailed and accurate. Every additional question we had was answered swiftly and thoroughly.

The eight-day trekking itself exceeded every expectation we had and this was mostly thanks to our excellent guide, Sonam. He was kind, friendly, patient and had a good dose of humour. Most importantly, he knew so much about the nature and culture of the valleys and villages that we passed and was always eager to share this information with us. We learned so much from him and enjoyed his company thoroughly.

His quality as a guide stood out as well when it came to my mother. At 64 the 8-day trek was quite a challenge (a fantastic challenge, but a challenge nevertheless) for her. However, Sonam took great care of her and it was without a doubt thanks to him that we were confident that my mother would complete the trek. One example is that, out of his own initiative, he suggested small changes in the itinerary that made the trek easier for my mother. I'm so thankful for this, because it means the world for my mother that she was able to complete this trek.

I can confidently say that Ju-Leh is the best trekking agency that I know off and I wholeheartedly recommend them, and Sonam in particular, to everyone who goes trekking in the beautiful mountains of Ladakh.

Nous avons adoré notre expérience avec l’agence Ju-Leh. Nos correspondances en français avec Dawa ont grandement facilité la préparation du trek et en tout point. Dawa a répondu à toutes nos interrogations dès que nous avons eu l’idée d’aller au Ladakh, nous ne connaissions aucune qui avait été dans cette région donc nous avions beaucoup de questions!!

Le trek en mai fut parfait!! Météo pas trop chaude. Nous avions apporté des bottes de randonnée, mais j’ai préféré mes espadrilles de randonnée auxquelles je suis plus habituée depuis longtemps!! Il n’y avait pas de neige dans les sentiers/ Nous n’avons pas utilisé également nos sandales pour traverser les rivières puisque le crû des eaux est davantage durant l’été.

Les guides ont été bienveillants envers tout le groupe, très gentils. enjoués. On n’aurait pu espérer mieux !! Merci à Mimi (surnom) et Nawang vous avez rendu ce rêve une réalité!! Toujours prêts à nous offrir leur aide.

Nous étions un groupe de 5 personnes qui se sont amusées tout le trek!! La vallée de la Markha est un parcours aux paysages splendides, vue 360 degrés toute journée! C’était plus beau que ce qu’on avait pu imaginer!

L’expérience dans les homestays est tellement authentique, on adopte leur mode de vie, ce sont des gens très souriants qui nous servent des repas fabuleux le soir. Ils nous concoctent toutes sortes de thés dès notre arrivée après chaque journée de marche.

Nous ne vous remercierons jamais assez pour le grand plaisir que vous nous avez offert de réaliser ce magnifique trek dans la vallée de la Markha.
Votre parfaite organisation nous a permis de profiter pleinement de notre voyage.
La préparation du séjour avec Dawa a été super agréable et d'une remarquable efficacité.
Sur le terrain nous avons particulièrement apprécié la disponibilité et la gentillesse de Rigzen. Sa fantaisie et sa gaieté nous ont réjouis durant tout le séjour. Et puis il nous a permis d'aller à la rencontre de ces gens qui vivent dans ces vallées loin de tout. De grands et beaux moments. Merci à Rigzen déjà un peu notre ami.
Merci aussi à Nandu pour ses talents de cuisinier qui chaque jour nous a surpris avec ses plats délicieux mais improbables à une telle altitude.

Un trek de 10 jours de Rumtse au lac Tsomorri, 6 cols au-delà de 5000 mètres dans des paysages grandioses... jamais je ne me serais aventurée à 64 ans dans une telle expérience si je n’avais pas été accompagnée de façon très professionnelle dans ma décision et pendant tout le trek par l’équipe de la Ju-Leh Adventure. Grâce à eux j’ai pu réaliser ce qui était un rêve et dans d’excellentes conditions. Je voudrais d’abord remercier Skarma notre guide, un coach avisé, toujours souriant, sur qui nous pouvions nous appuyer en toute confiance. Le cuisinier nous a épaté par sa capacité à nous préparer chaque jour des petits plats différents, copieux et excellents. Et puis toute la logistique était admirablement organisée particulièrement par les horsmen. En conclusion une équipe parfaitement rodée qui nous a assuré sécurité, confort et bonne humeur. MERCI

C’est dans les moments compliqués qu’on se félicite d’avoir fait le bon choix… Pour notre voyage au Ladakh en juillet 2020, nous avions choisi Ju-Leh pour l’organisation d’un trek et de quelques excursions.

Dès que les restrictions dues au covid sont apparues, en mars, Dawa a immédiatement repris contact avec nous pour nous tenir au courant de l’évolution de la situation. Quelques mois après, lorsqu’il était clairement inéluctable que notre voyage n’aurait pas lieu en juillet, l’agence nous a immédiatement proposé de reporter notre voyage. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la gentillesse, la transparence et le professionnalisme de l’agence qui faisait son maximum pour gérer cette situation au mieux.

Lorsque nous ne parvenions pas à obtenir de réponse de la compagnie aérienne Go Air concernant nos billets d’avions et de l’hotel réservé à Leh à qui nous avions versé un acompte, Ju-Leh n’a pas hésité à les appeler pour nous pour que tout soit enfin résolu. Sans Ju-Leh, nous aurions probablement perdu nos billets.

Nous leur souhaitons bon courage pour cette période difficile et nous avons très hâte d’aller les rencontrer à Leh dès que nous pourrons à nouveau voyager.

Awesome place to visit with family and friends...

J’ai fait plusieurs treks avec Ju-Leh en été comme en hiver. Ça s’est toujours super bien passé, en partie grâce au professionnalisme et à la gentillesse de mon guide Stanzin.
Je n’ai que de bons mots sur cette agence : organisation au top, super communication rapide et réactive, très bonne écoute de nos envies de la part de Dawa, Tashi et Stanzin.

My husband and I did the trek from Lamayuru to Hemis with Ju-Leh Adventure. Our guide Rinchen and the team were amazing. Rinchen was very knowledgeable and very funny. Lobzang, our cook, was great too and he prepared such amazing meals, surprising us again and again each day. The horseman Tsering was also very friendly. Thank for the memorable experience. The team at Ju-Leh office was also extremely professional, everything was well planned and communication was excellent.

We went trekking with them, it was great and every detail very well arranged. Best choice for travel in Ladakh..

Ju-Leh Adventure is without a doubt the best travel agency in Leh-Ladakh. I booked a trek to Stok Kangri with them in September and it was the best experience of my life. Their guides are professional, are highly skilled and take good care of the clients. The cook served us delicious food and the horseman was jovial and friendly. My friend and me never thought we would make it to the summit, but our guide Dorjey kept pushing us and we couldn't hide our emotions when we reached the top. Thank you Ju-Leh Adventure!

I had heard a lot about Leh Ladakh from my friends and I wanted to visit this place with my family. My friend recommended Ju-Leh Adventure with whom they had booked a trek and tour last year. I got in touch with Stanzin and asked him to prepare a customised itinerary keeping the age of my kids, who are 7 and 9, in mind. I was very pleased with their itinerary and the guide was very kind and considerate. Stanzin ensured that we get first-hand experience of Ladakhi culture by organising our stay in a homestay in a village in Leh. The kids loved their stay in Leh, and they want to go back again. I absolutely recommend Ju-Leh Adventure to those who are planning to visit Leh.

Stanzin and his team were brilliant. We had a fantastic time hiking in the Markha valley, the mountains are amazing, and the villages we stayed in along the trail are fascinating. Our guide, Rinchen, was the best guide we could have possibly had. He was always very kind, funny and helpful! He could explained us many things about trekking, mountains and Ladakhi lifestyle.
Nothing but positive things to say, had an amazing time. A company that we are more than happy to recommend.

Anfang September haben wir zu viert drei klasse Wochen in Ladakh verbracht. In der Zeit haben wir 7 beeindruckende Klöster im Industal besichtigt, das Markha-Tal durchwandert und den 6245 m hohen Kang Yatse erklommen. Dabei war die Planung und Unterstützung von Ju Leh Adventures fantastisch und es blieb absolut nichts zu wünschen übrig:
- Ein Guide, wie er hilfsbereiter, engagierter und freundlicher nicht sein könnte (mit hervorragendem Englisch)
- Ein top Team von Assistant Guide über Koch bis zum Horseman
- Hervorragende, abwechslungsreiche Verpflegung (wir waren stark beeindruckt, was unser Koch auf einem Camping-Kocher alles zaubern konnte!!!)
- Super bequeme Schlafmatten
- Umfangreiches und hochwertiges Equipment
- Viele, viele tolle Eindrücke, die lange in Erinnerung bleiben

Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Engagement unseres Guides Stanzin, der im Kang Yatse Basislager sämtliche Top Klass Handschuhe zusammengesucht hat, um uns noch besser für die Kang-Yatse-Besteigung auszurüsten.

Die Zeit in Ladakh haben wir sehr genossen, doch war sie einfach wieder zu kurz und zu schnell vorbei! Wir haben alle entschieden, dass es nicht unser letzter Besuch in Ladakh war und wir unbedingt zurückkommen müssen! An wen wir uns dann wenden? - Klar, wieder an Ju Leh Adventures!! :-)
