Ignored, Blocked, and Still No Order â Poor Experience with K9 Beds LTD
Review of K9 Beds Limited (previously Clever Paws LTD):
I ordered a replacement dog bed cover from K9 Beds LTD on 8 March 2025. Despite multiple follow-ups, the item has not been delivered as of 7 May 2025 â nearly nine weeks later.
On 4 April, I received a direct message from Josh Bird (listed on Companies House under company number 15595354) stating:
âIâm still waiting on the cover but hoping to have them next week. You should have tracking. It will go out same day it arrives on next day delivery.â
However, this did not happen, and further emails and messages were ignored.
Here is the timeline of my communication:

⢠Chased again: 16 April, 24 April, and 7 May
⢠Blocked on Facebook: 7 May 2025, after asking publicly for a response and stating I had not received any replies to my emails.
I was blocked from their Facebook group after asking for transparency and help. My comment â which asked politely for a reply after weeks of silence â was deleted, and I was removed from the group.
Interestingly, Josh Birdâs appointment as company director was terminated on 17 March 2025, but he was still communicating with customers and representing the company in April.
I do not recommend this company based on my experience. There is a clear lack of communication, customer service, and follow-through on basic order fulfillment and I am not the first customer to have experienced this with this company.
Terrible customer service âŠ
Ordered bed and spare cover 13 April which were showing in stock. On 18 April showed as DPD received order details but not yet received parcel. Sent email to them - 5 days later received a reply saying out of stock but expected in a week or two. Saw bad reviews on Trust Pilot so cancelled my order and did chargeback with credit card company. I emailed K9 beds and stated order cancelled as communication very poor and had now read Trust Pilot reviews Thought that was the end of it until today had email saying parcel from K9 beds bring delivered. Contacted DPD to say I will refuse parcel and also contracted Josh Bird stating he should cancel the delivery via DPD and again informed him that I had done a charge back with my credit card company. I have not received any communication from the company - continuing with my charge back as canât trust them, just hope that is the last I hear of this.

Lacking the basics in customer care
Iâve ordered 3 beds over the space of 7 months. The first one was great so I ordered another. It wasnât the same quality and when I washed the covers together it was clearer thinner than the first. . A hole appeared but only after Iâd ordered the 3rd, so I emailed to ask their thoughts on why? along with a photo graph. No response. Also tried a week later and by then I mentioned I was still waiting for the 3rd bed and as it was still saying pending I wanted to cancel that order until my issue was resolved. Again nothing. No response with another 5 emails so I began looking to see if they were still trading. Two different trading names and 100âs of angry emojis alongside ð¯ good reviews ( on their fb) proof they have been doctoring them. Shame that what seemed like a good product is not backed up with customer care. Iâve since learned that the second bed was a different grade of material they use for cheaper beds. Iâd paid the same for both though. Still no contact 5 weeks after first complaint ( Pah to their 10 year guarantee if they donât respond. Iâve removed my initial good review. The faulty bed has now torn in around 15 places. Never received the 3rd bed so did claim back with my bank. They need to shape up or ship out!

Ordered in Jan25. This now May25 and still waiting on it. Have contacted numerous times and was told they were waiting on covers coming in and would get mid march then end of march then April. Now not even answering my emails and canât call as no number to call. Post negative review on fb only for them to remove and block me. CON ARTISTS.
Just donât bother
Ordered a bed from K9 at Christmas and although it took much longer to arrive than stated my dog liked it and it seemed to be of good quality. Ordered a second smaller bed in early April to go in the boot of my car to take on holiday, only after receiving a specific assurance from Josh that it would definitely arrive on time. Only wish Iâd checked out these reviews on trustpilot first, as big surprise, nothing was received and I had to go out and buy another bed. Dozens of emails, Facebook messages and enquiries through their website were studiously ignored. By far the worst communication (or lack of) Iâve ever experienced in any company. Funny though that a negative Facebook comment I eventually posted last week in sheer frustration was immediately deleted and I DID receive an immediate reply from a very cross Josh! He was âdisappointed with my attitudeâ! Hilarious! Yes heâs the victim here folks! You honestly couldnât make this stuff up. The disappointment of so many of his customers clearly doesnât affect him at all as heâs still perfectly happy to rip people off judging by the many recent posts on here. He did however assure me that an immediate refund would be given. (And that I would not be welcome to place another order with them! Donât worry Josh, not going to happen). It predictably hasnât been received despite many follow-up emails. And Iâve been blocked from the Facebook page! So Iâm now taking this up with my bank. Not sure what has gone wrong with this company but they are now a truly flaky and dishonest outfit with the worst customer service Iâve ever encountered. Please donât give your money to them, theyâre just awful.
Despite all that letâs give Josh a big round of applause for the sheer comedy value of giving himself the only 5 star review on here! Tells you everything you need to know but still, bless him, itâs kind of tragic!! ð€£

I am absolutely furious with the service ( or shall I say lack of it) I have had from this company .
I originally ordered a Large sofa bed for my Doberman in November as her Christmas gift .
Iâd looked at them for months and couldnât justify paying £100+ for a dog bed but all the positive reviews convinced me it would be a good investment .
Fast forward to the start of April , I stripped the whole bed including the under covers to freshen them all up .
I was shocked to see how much the mattress had flattened in such a short time ( a big dip in the middle ) I do have photos as evidence .
I straight away contacted k9 beds ( or K9 Comfort when you go on to their website) and added the photos asking for a response as the bed is advertised with a 10year no flat guarantee.
Iâm still waiting for a response .
Before this happened I ordered 2x Brown covers that are suppose to be a limited addition and wonât be available for long .
These were ordered on 15/03/25, I still havenât received them and my emails havenât been answered .
Iâve done some digging and found that Joshua Bird has now resigned from the company .
Iâve commented on posts on Facebook asking who is now responsible for customer service ( Iâve took photos of my comments ) and they have been deleted.
I will NOT let this go , Iâll be contacting Trading Standards and seeking legal advice .
Previous reviews have all been great but it seems since March everyone is receiving the same poor service .

He has now blocked me from fb, Iâm sorry but there is no way the other two directors ( his parents by the names and DOB )could possibly be the ones removing comments and blocking people .
In my opinion heâs still there but removed his name .
He will change the company name again Four times already and start trading in a different name .
Do not buy from this company
Honestly, I'm at a loss as to what to do, but it appears that I am in the same boat as everyone else who has ordered from this company. I ordered a bed on the 24th of March, also with the promise of a couple of days delivery. 2 weeks passed by with no bed whilst the shipping label was created giving false indication. I contacted the company many times with no reply. The bed turned up which I refused at the door to then be returned to the company. Emailed them again. No response until I tried to raise the turn to Klarna which is when Josh said the refund/return will have to be dealt through with that which was on April 8. Since then, I have sent them 4 emails, left comments on their Facebook, tried to leave a review on their website with no response. I have never dealt with this level of disregard or terrible customer service. Please please do not buy from this company unless you have money to waste.
Frustrating and rubbish customer service
I bought the large bed for my dogs and was pleased with it. Trying to buy a replacement cover was a completely different experience. I bought it on February 14th and the money was taken on 17th. I emailed several times with no response and then commented on FB. I immediately got a reply on messenger. Unfortunately the saga wasnât over and the cover never turned up despite assurances from Josh. Any negative comments are immediately removed from FB but you get very little luck with responses by email. After asking for a refund which never materialised I used the chargeback function with my credit card company.
Do not buy from this company as customer service is deplorable. If Josh spent as much time on his email as he seems to do on FB things might be different!
Awful
All I can do is echo everyone elseâs comments - do not order from this company. Ordered and paid for a bed, no indication at the time that the bed wasnât available. Heard nothing, had to chase to be told it may come ânext week or the week afterâ then I asked for refund as I needed a bed so was going to buy elsewhere. All communication then ceased. I raised with PayPal - they too have had no response so they thankfully have refunded me. Anyone with money outstanding, Iâd suggest raising a dispute as it is highly unlikely you will get anything from the company.

Awful cheap horrible dog bed. Bed is made from cheap foam which goes flat in a matter of months. I even had a replacement after much hassle and many emaild being ignored, which went flat worse than the first. The guy is not nice to deal with. DO NOT BUY, NOT WORTH THE MONEY
SCAM COMPANY
Ordered an Xtra large dog bed from K9. Bed was late arriving and had to contact the company several times before the bed was finally delivered. I also ordered an additional xtra large dog bed cover which has not been received despite sending multiple messages and emails. They have now blocked me on Facebook and I have been contacted independently by several people who have placed orders and not received the goods. Be warned this is a scam company who will take your money then shut you down. I will be reporting to Trading Standards and my bank. I have also notiFIED Facebook as they advertise on the Facebook site. DO NOT BUY SCAM COMPANY

Bed described as fully waterproof. It definitely is not! Tried contacting K9beds by Web message, phone call and email. All totally ignored. Customer service is non-existent. Given that everything appears to be in a sale with generally limited stock, I do wonder whether the company is going belly-up? Would definitely not recommend!

Avoid at all costs. Second review on here. Very much inline with the other experiences. Originally, happy with purchase. Then tried to order another cover and liner. Out of stock. Liner finally ordered and took ages to recieve, in fact only after bad review did Josh Bird contact me. MANY emails later, FINALLY received order in opened package, tried to put on and the zipper is broken. Wonder why package was open? So now ripped cover, broken liner and no bed for dog unless I basically sew one. Avoid at all costs. Total ripoff. Shame on you Josh. Youâve been found out.

Edit: I thank the stars that my order was sent in the end, but it took over 2 months. This business is legitimate, but very poorly run. Which is a shame really because the products themselves are phenomenal. Itâs clear that the business overpromises, oversells and under-delivers. Whatâs needed is transparency with the consumer.

Used to be a legitimate company, theyâve been bought out. As other reviews show, itâs a complete scam. The owner himself, Joshua Bird has placed a positive review of his own business on here. Ironically itâs one of few positive reviews.
Heâll stall, promise ânext weekâ etc etc and not deliver at. Breach of consumersâ rights and should be reported.

I bought a jumbo sized bed that claimed to have a waterproof white cover under the grey cover. However, after a few weeks my elderly girl had an accident on the bed and it went right through to the foam. I sent the photos and explained what happened and ordered a spare cover. After 7 weeks I still have not received the spare cover (I paid £40 for)! I have also sent them 8 emails and they have not responded to a single one! Their customer service is terrible! I have noticed they have changed the wording in their website now and have deleted that their covers are waterproof! Itâs a shame as I would have been happy with a replacement free cover and an apology. Sadly this company is very untrustworthy and unreliable! I cannot recommend them in any way! The rest of the reviews confirm that I am not the only one unfairly treated and I noticed that Joshua Bird (who is an employee of k9 beds) has left one of the few good reviews!

Ordered a bed on the 16th Feb, I have had no update since.
Ive emailed and messaged on multiple occasions and no action has been taken.
I would leave it less than 1 star if i could. I would like a refund.

I wouldnât have even given one star. Ordered on 1st March but didnât receive anything. Had an email saying it was shipped which was a lie as it wasnât! Only received a refund because I escalated through PayPal! Do not order from these rip off merchants!
Zero communication, zero service
Zero communication on an issue that needs addressing, my âno flat bedâ has gone flat and all they do is remove comments on Facebook and reviews on their website and wonât respond to emails and messages, this is just a farce of a company. Spend your money elsewhere, itâs not worth it now. 4 yrs ago they had the best beds, now they use cheap foam for the same price and itâs utter rubbish. Avoid at all costs.
