After our local eye hospital saying my eye operation was problematic. Both had Cataracts but with other issues. I was recommended to Mr Balaggan who conducted eye surgery on both of my eyes one month apart and both operations were successful. I found him to be a very pleasant helpful person that put me at ease and gave me confidence in his ability to sort out my eye problem. I would recommend anyone with issues with their eyes to contact him for assistance. I now have good vision that I have not had for years.

The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Mr Balaggan explained everything, and put me at ease with his friendly approachable manner. My procedure was painless and my sight was improved immediately and continues to improve as the days and weeks go by. I now have 20/20 vision, can read a newspaper and drive without glasses. I had trifocals lens implants which l can absolutely recommend, l am so pleased with the results. Thank you

After reading previous patient reviews I chose Mr Kam Balaggan for my recent cataract eye surgery in both eyes. I found the treatment and care received to be first class from an extremely professional, caring, excellent surgeon, along with his secretary and the staff at Spires Eye Centre.
I was apprehensive about eye surgery but Mr Balaggan put me at ease from the initial appointment, through both ops and post op appointment where he explained fully every step of the way.

Fantastic service from start to finish from Kam and his team. The cataract procedure was completed without any problems and had exceptional sight within 48 hrs. and getting better. No complications thereafter. Everything was explained in detail and in advance.

Mr. Balaggan has now performed surgery on both of my eyes in the last couple of months and I cannot stress enough how reassuring and knowledgeable he is. He put me at ease from my very first appointment to my last one today, I paid for up graded lens and what a difference it has made my life. I even surpassed Kam's expectations today by reading the very bottom line of his eye chart 2 lines lower than the 20/20 line. Debbie his secretary and the rest of his staff, were fantastic from the very beginning to the end of my procedures. I first met Mr Balaggan when I had emergency surgery for a detached retina I was so scared and shocked I was going to lose my eyesight . He was so calming and reassuring I completely put my full trust in him. The operation was successful and 6 months later I had cataract operations in both eyes with intraocular lenses inserted. I am now glasses free with 20/20 vision . I cannot thank Mr Balaggan enough for saving my eyesight and changing my life . Mr Balaggan is exceptional at what he does, he has treated me over the last year, and had done 3 surgeries on my eyes. He explains everything so well and you know exactly what is going to happen. I'm just so thankful that we found his website and decided to consult him.

I recently had the absolute pleasure of having Kam Balaggan to perform my Epiretinal Membrane Surgery and he was absolutely fantastic. He is an amazing surgeon who I would thoroughly recommend. He is also such a nice man who is very accommodating, he listens to you he takes time to explain his answers, and he puts you totally at ease.
Mr Balaggan's Secretary/PA Debbie is also extremely helpful and totally lovely too.

I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes with Mr Balaggan at the Wolverhampton Nuffield Hospital . My initial consultation with him gave me the confidence to go ahead and the surgery was very successful. Mr Balaggan has given me back my eyesight which had definitely been deteriorating, I am only using glasses for reading fine print , I am delighted and tell everybody about him!

I have trusted Mr Balagan with my eye care for over 4 years now. Most recently he has helped me with detached retina (twice in 8 weeks). He is always kind, caring, and professional but most importantly he is thorough in his examinations. He listens to your symptoms and will work with you at all stages. When his website says you have access to him believe me that is true, I texted him on Boxing day and he called me.....that's dedication. He got me in to hospital and operated on very quickly both times for my retina detachment. His team are amazing especially his PA Debbie who is always efficient and helpful as well as taking a personal interest in your wellbeing. I am glad I have Mr Balagan looking after me.

I visited Mr Balaggan to have a full review. I was noticing that my eyesight was becoming poorer so decided to get this investigated. I have had eye issues since 2011 so was very anxious but Mr Balaggan put me at my ease immediately. He is very calm and patient, and after a thorough examination of both eyes, he advised that I needed cataract surgery on both eyes. He explained the different lenses available and I was booked in for 8/11/25 then 7/12/25. I feel so blessed to have been able to have the procedures with him. He is a miracle worker. I have been wearing glasses/contact lenses since the age of 19 and I am now 65. I am only using reading glasses. Just amazing. Thank you Mr Balaggan. I also need to thank his secretary Debbie, who is on hand to help with any questions. I had a few being the anxious person that I am. So reassuring.
If you need to choose a consultant, I recommend Mr Balaggan.

I have recently completed my third episode of care with Kam Balaggan Ophthalmologist Ltd. I had a sudden reduction in the vision of my left eye. I contacted Mr Balaggan and he was very quick to respond. He performed a cataract operation within the week to assess any damage to my retina. My eyesight has improved greatly and, fortunately, I have experienced no further symptoms.
