1/5 — Would give zero stars if I could.

I came to Kavanagh's genuinely wanting to support an Irish business and had every intention of recommending them to others. That changed the moment I interacted with the owner, Kevin.

He called me to say he'd arrive in 35 minutes. I got there in 45. For that 10-minute difference, he spoke to me in a way I wouldn't expect from anyone — let alone someone trying to earn a customer's business. The language was harsh and completely uncalled for.

I left without spending a penny and won't be going back. Save yourself the experience.

Table cloth ordered 13 days ago. Shipping details received on day 12 but didn’t work. E-mail support responsive but ultimately unable to resolve. Supporting local Irish businesses is made extremely difficult when this is the experience. Not every business is expected to match Amazon’s next day delivery but 2 weeks for a tablecloth is an example of why shoppers are driven to the large multinationals.

I ordered a rug 2 and a half weeks ago but it still has not arrived.

If I could leave less than one star I would, My mam ordered blinds in the middle of July from the Donaghmede Store and 2 months later she was still being fobbed off by the store. Every week she would be told her blinds would be fitted that Thursday only for no one to show. I eventually contacted the head office who assured me that they would be fitted the follow Thursday only to receive a text message the day before to say they would not be arriving. They did not even have the decency to phone us. On one occasion we did not even get the courtesy of being told that they would not be there, they just did not show up. This was particularly distressing as my mam had no blinds on the front of her house after having new windows fitted, the store knew this. We eventually canceled the order and went with another supplier who within 24 hours had come out, measured and will have them fitted within 2 working days.

Excellent customer service from Kevin. I could not praise Kavanaghs enough. I wil definitely recommend to my friends. Geraldine mcnamara

Ordered orthopaedic pillows from Kavanaghs yesterday, at the most competitive price offered anywhere online. Order arrived this morning, fantastic plump, great quality pillows! Excellent service, including a polite email from William excusing the slight delay in receiving confirmation of my order. Will certainly shop with them again!!
