Michelle with KimKim did a wonderful job planning our itinerary. She was able to fine tune our desires and we ended up with the perfect trip. Even with a mid vacation hiccup with car trouble and last minute itinerary changes, she was efficient, helpful and responsive. A great experience all around!

With the help of our kimkim travel agent, Shirley and our driver/tour guide, Young, we had the most incredible trip discovering many parts of Taiwan. Both went above and beyond and added personal touches that made our trip extra special. I would highly recommend kimkim, Shirley and Young.

Our tour was excellent with planning and communication before and during our trip. It was not too busy nor too slow. We were able to make a change or two during the tour with the local guides as well. We experienced excellent hotels, drivers and guides seeing city and country sites. Food tours were great too. I highly recommend kim kim for Vietnam and Cambodia. Our tour was a little over two weeks.

My husband and I took a trip to Italy to celebrate our 50th birthdays. Researching all of the travel sites and options was very overwhelming - until I found KimKim. The website was easy to navigate and asked all the right questions to create a trip that was uniquely us. Jessica, our travel specialist was great- she put together an amazing itinerary and was extremely helpful with changes and tweaks until it was perfect. I especially liked the level and ease of communication both before the trip through the chat and during through the app. Everything was set up beforehand - transports, trains and tours, and everything was seamless! We had an amazing trip and we will definitely be using KimKim again!

Took their time and revised and added things until I was completely happy. Had local knowledge of the destinations and were able to guide me to what I wanted. Couldn’t recommend it enough. And the online interface, app and agendas they create for you are very organized and informative. It makes planning and executing your trip so much easier!

Leny helped us plan our trip from the first day we contacted her. She was attentive to our requests and created an excellent itinerary that matched what we wanted to experience and where we wanted to go. During the trip, she and her team were very responsive to our needs. They even found me a Reiki master last minute for a session in Kyoto! We went to a cooking class, food tours, day trip to Mt. Koyasan and so many other wonderful tours of the different cities, towns and villages we stayed in. The hotels were perfect. The team was there for us all the time. Thanks to them, we enjoyed our Japanese adventures and have very fond memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you Leny and team!🙏🏼😻🌸❤️

I had a fantastic experience with KimKim for my trip to Italy. Everything was thoughtfully planned in advance, which made the entire experience incredibly easy. All we had to do was book our flights and show up. Their team was communicative, responsive, and always available to answer questions. The app had all the details we needed, and the planning guide was especially helpful. They truly took the stress out of travel planning, and I would absolutely use them again.

I had no interest in being herded around on a group tour on and off buses and being told where and when to eat and shop yet needed guidance as this would have taken hundreds of hours to plan properly. Kim Kim was the perfect compromise. The trip was customized for us after an initial conversation and then a two hour zoom with Leny. We had 5 private guides in different areas each one better than the next. We were reminded each day of our next day’s plans with specific instructions if we wanted to take the train. For full day tours the guides picked us up at our hotel. The cooking class with Bob in Takayama was so great and authentic, as was the tea ceremony and the dinner with Maiko who is like a Geisha in training. We also got amazing deals on vintage designer bags in the Namba area of Okasa which is like a combination of Times Square and the San Genaro feast on steroids. We ran the gamut with a visit to Mt Koya to be in touch with our spiritual side. This was a trip of a lifetime and we could have never done it without Leny and her team. Absolute kudos to them. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

This is the second time we’ve used KimKim. The use of local people makes a huge difference. Everything has been well planned and checked through with you to make certain it makes the vacation you’re looking for. They are also there through the trip in case there are questions or the need for changes. Can’t recommend them enough.

Kimkim was awesome!
I would highly recommend them. They were extremely efficient and we could get hold of them if needed any time. All the cars and drivers were on time and very courteous.

We have now used kimkim for three different trips… Each time the trip was carefully planned and they really listen to what we wanted to do at each place… We’re looking forward to our next trip with kimkim which will be in Morocco

The local folks working with Kimkim were excellent. My journey to visit the originating northern India was excellently planned and elegantly executed. Amazing.

I disliked the service did not book air travel and that had to be an independent transaction. It added some complications tat were not comfortable.

Also, the advertised room was not available after submitting the deposit. I knew well in advance to make a decision but it felt like a bait and switch. We had two use two different places for the stay.

I did like the Aera and it's staff.

The e mail and KIm Kim site were very good about communication, responsiveness and having all the relevant itinerary information available.

Kim Kim is so easy to work with and will alter the itinerary to fit what you want to do, while providing good suggestions from their knowledge of the place you are going.

Everything was taken care of and everything was on time. The hotel in Panama City was great. I loved everything.

This was the 5th trip where we've used KimKim. They do an outstanding job of connecting us with local tour companies that arrange the perfect travel experience.

We were going to us KimKim for a trip to the south of France. They planned about itinerary and when we asked for a cost breakdown, they wouldn’t offer it, but they would give us a percent of what our budget was going too. Our total budget was about $13,000 and they said 39% of that was for our accommodations. That was the first red flag. Seemed really high for our hotels. Second red flag was the $600 plus service fee. I have never seen that type of fee from a travel agency.

This prompted me to see what the actual cost of our rooms and excursions was. I found out that the actual cost of this trip was about $6,000. They were doubling the cost of our trip! What they are charging is criminal and is blatant price gouging. So glad we didn’t end up booking with them. Avoid at all cost unless you want to be grossly over charged. Terrible company, essentially a scam.

Avoid Kimkim & Espíritu Travel (Their on-ground partner for Spain): Documented Billing Fraud and Zero Support

We paid $7,660.36 USD (approx. €7,130) for a trip that provided only 2 and 3-star value and was riddled with deceptive markups. Despite claims of "special rates," we were overcharged by thousands of dollars.

1.Systematic Pricing Inflation
Hotel Fraud: Kimkim billed €1,310 for ICON BCN. However, the partner CEO (Karin Eckhard) confirmed the nightly rate was €390, meaning we were overcharged by €530 for a single stay. This was the case with every hotel booking made by KimKim
Tour Markups: Every tour was priced significantly higher than the official public rates. For example, a wine tour billed at €510 costs only €270 on the operator’s website. This was the case with each tour and booking made by KimKim
Under-Refunding: For a cancelled €430, Sunset Hot Air Balloon Flight is for two people. KimKim has refunded only €268.81—the lower cost of a catamaran. While essentially pocketing €161.19 of our money for a service that never occurred.

2. Extreme Service Failures
Harassment: During the Barcelona Walking Tour, the guide harassed us over 50 times to provide a 5-star review while physically standing over us to ensure the review was written
Poor Quality: The "Gourmet" food tour was unpalatable, featuring low-cost house pours that other guests also complained about.
The Sóller Disaster: We were booked for a 8-10 person tour to Sóller but were trapped on a 56-seater coach for a rushed "transport tour" with no way to leave, despite multiple requests for help.
3. Total Support Negligence & Refund Error
Paid Support Ignored: We were charged $376 for the use of your support platform, yet KimKim have completely failed to acknowledge our written instructions. Despite three separate warnings that our payment card is closed, they negligently processed a refund to that account. This is a gross administrative failure that has effectively blocked us from accessing our refund
Financial Negligence: They processed a refund to a closed account despite three written warnings, essentially withholding our funds through sheer administrative incompetence.

This trip occurred during the low season and was booked 12 months in advance. We were told we were receiving "special rates," yet the difference between what we paid and the public rates is staggering

We must highlight that during the booking phase, we repeatedly expressed our dissatisfaction with the proposed 2 and 3-star hotels to Anita. We were consistently told that our budget was simply too low to cover higher-category hotel bookings. We now understand that our budget was only "low" because of their team’s excessive overcharges and secret markups of over 130%. They intentionally placed us in lower-tier accommodations while pocketing thousands of dollars in hidden fees.

Kimkim claims their rates are "impossible to beat," but our experience proves they utilize deceptive "itemized" billing to hide markups of over 130%.

Do not trust this agency with your money or your milestones.
