DO NOT SHOP HERE!!

KMS Tools do NOT stand by their products. We bought an item here that had a rebate on it, brought it home, immediately noticed it already had scratches on it but ignored it and just tried to claim the rebate, and it showed it was already claimed, so clearly this item was used before, so we brought it back 2 days later to these guys and they immediately refused a return or exchange. They ACCUSED us of using the product and claiming the rebate ourselves. We were so shocked that this is how they treat their customers, zero trust, and immediately assuming we were the ones being shady. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company with such a shady return policy paired with horrendous customer service. We will NEVER shop here again nor recommend it to anyone. BE WARNED! You're basically SOL if you buy anything from them. If it's broken or used, it automatically becomes YOUR fault and you're on your own. Check their other bad reviews, their return policy is the absolute worst! We're lucky our item was not as expensive as their other victims.

there is always some on that can help describe specific tools and there purposes and provide help to get the right tool

I spent some time in the Kelowna store looking for a specific mechanics seat…somehow I had missed seeing the item or the price tag but I was happy when I bumped into a young man attendant who was able to help me find exactly what I wanted to to buy for my son for Christmas. We had a good chat about auto repair fun…he told me to tell my son he should try motor bike repairs sometime…we wished each other a Merry Christmas and we went on we our business for the day, myself…happy that I had one less gift to find. I've been shopping at KMS for more than 15 years. The Staff are friendly and try very hard to be helpful. Sometimes, they may seem a little out of their depth technically. I certainly don't hold that against them as I've been buying and using tools for over 50 years - the best part- they are always accommodating and do their best to assist.

Was looking on line at a couple item, Stopped by the store on my way home. The female customer service representative was just great to deal with, Answered all my questions and even ask me if she could open the box so I could see and hold tool. Thank you, thank you

Helpful floor staff and well stocked stores

Absolute terrible experience dealing with their customer service. Ordered multiple items including power tools and batteries. Only one set of tools and battery was sent. KMS had no idea they forgot to send the other. I contacted them and was given the run around and highly questioned as to why I didn't receive the other items. Eventually the warehouse manager stepped in and admitted he didn't realize I had ordered multiple and he forgot to send them. So he sent the replacement tool, but I discovered upon receiving it that he forgot to send the battery. So now I have been communicating with customer service again and they are making me out to be the one that has missed something. They have no record of what they have or have not sent out. They question my integrity and demand proof that it has not been delivered, despite having no proof that it ever was delivered. They have continually made empty promises that they will fix things and get back to me. It has been close to a month and I have not received my entire order. These are items I paid for close to a month ago.

Can always find an associate to assist, In locating items in need.

Normally, they have the item, or a similar product.

Last visit, the items I required, were not in stock. (T-track bolts 3")

I like to shop KMS online and pick up in store when I am in Nanaimo. The staff are always helpful and friendly.

The customer service is phenomenal! The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is that the store, in one instance, did not have the advertised sale item in stock and in another instance, an applicator was required that the store did not have.

After viewing an online flyer and seeing the item I wanted I decided to go to the store to purchase the item when in Grande Prairie on the weekend. I saw an employee and asked where the end mill bits could be found. She was unfamiliar and referred me to a man who was also unfamiliar but he did absolutely everything he could to help, going beyond expectations. Very seldom do you get the kind of care and dedication that he gave, even admitting that he had learned numerous things by helping. he was formerly a manager of a Canadian Tire store. What a loss for them! I will search him out next visit.

Great in-person customer service, in-stock product selection, and value pricing.

On October 26 I brought in a gift card that I had in my wallet for quite some time. The gift card was partially used showing $78.20 written on it. I tried to redeem it and was told it was inactive due to the length of time between uses. I gave it to the head cashier with the promise that she would get back to me. On November 14 I went in to the Kelowna store to find out what progress had been made. The head cashier could not find my card or any emails to head office about my problem. I stood there for 10 minutes while she looked with no success. I was told that I would receive a call regarding the issue. I did get a call back several hours later from the head cashier letting me know that she had found the email from head office. It stated that there was no value left on the card. This seamed very convenient as an hour earlier she couldn't find the card or an email. I asked for a copy of the email to confirm this but I was told that they couldn't send me copies from head office.
About an hour later I received a call from the store manager. I once again asked for a copy of the email he refused and told me that him telling me should be good enough. I told him it wasn't and I wasn't happy , he said ok bye. One minute and 9 seconds later the call was over.
I run a tourism business and if one of my managers blew a customer off like that I would be mortified.
This could have all been avoided If 1)they called me back some time in the 19 days between October 26 and November 14
2)Sent me a copy of the email from head office(if it existed)
3) if the manager had given me more than 1 minute and 9 seconds of his time before he hung up on me.

I truly believe they lost my card and instead of being straight up about it I was lied to. They chose to alienate my patronage over less than $80

I have been a customer for over a decade and I expect to receive better customer service than that. I will now always look for an alternative before returning to KMS.

great service and selection of well priced tools.

The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. That combined with great products keeps me coming back. I will go out of my way to buy from KMS Tools if there is something I need.

Visited the store as l often do if l am in Red Deer, on this occasion they had a great sale on for Milwaukee18V Fuel. I was looking for a leaf blower and found one bare tool only 3017-20 at $144.95. Then l spotted the bins and found a Rapid stop 4- 1/2" 5" grinder 2880-20 had no price on it however the milwaukee rep quickly looked it up and offered it at $189 walked out with a big smile on my face thnks KMS

The online ordering was great. I had some questions so I called in to online ordering and the lady I spoke to was very helpful in all the questions I had and went above and beyond to help me get some invoices for items I had purchased online in the last few years. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it took about 3-4 days before my order was actually shipped, but it appears that it has now been shipped.
