It was really difficult to select the right number of stars here so I've gone with 4 and I'll explain why.

Firstly, my knifes have been returned in good condition and very sharp so I'm very happy with that. The process is simple, well explained and easy to follow.

The issue I had was the overall service.

I made my order on the 12/4 and have just received the knifes back just under 2 weeks later on the 25/4. This was considerably longer than I had anticipated and not what the website would have you believe about the service. I had also upgraded to DPD delivery.

The way the service works, is that you make the order on the website, they send you a box to put the knives in (this part uses the courier Evri). You then return the knives, they sharpen and post back (these two stages can be upgraded to DPD). Given Evri is best known for their parcel black hole (google it), I opted for DPD on the 2nd and 3rd stages. Unfortunately there was no option to upgrade the first stage to DPD.

True to form, Evri seemed to hold onto my box for days and days with no update on a delivery date. Why companies trust their brand image to Evri astonishes me.

This obviously isn't Knifesharps fault but when I contact Knifesharp all they could say was "we can't control what happens after we send the package", that is a true statement but not reassuring and not what I would call first class customer service, this is why I dropped a star.

Anyway, the sharpening was so good I am going to get more of my knives sharpened and just hope Evri manage to deliver on time.

Started off really well and the end result was amazing!!! From the start the arrangements were easy to follow and well executed. I ordered a knife to use whilst mine were away. This arrived in the box I was sent to return my knives for sharpening. My knives have returned to their original expensive start!!! Cannot recommend enough

I was slightly worried about sending £1K plus of knives in the post, but the service was very professional and well managed with correct packing materials etc. The knives were retunred with in a couple of days which is quicker than expected and the quality of the sharpening was, in my opinon very good! Would certainly recommend and use again

We went for the 5 knife sharpening service and the whole process is immensely painless. You receive a box with simple instructions, sheaths, returns label and bag to send everything off with. As a person who appreciates good planning and sensible packaging, they were already onto a win.
What I received back a week later were 5 weapons. These things are now so sharp, you can get cut looking at them. Tomatoes don't stand a chance. Chicken is shredded with zero effort. I have no doubt that if a finger tip got in the way, it would be removed smoothly. To be clear, I haven't damaged myself with these knives. The sharpened edges are very neat and smooth, giving them a wonderful profile. They are once again a joy to use.
If there is a flaw to recognise it's the slow turn around time of the courier service. I suspect that the choice of courier helps keeps the cost of the service low and that's something I can appreciate; it isn't the fault of Knife Sharp that I opted to send 5 out of 6 knives off for sharpening and was therefore limited on what I can cut for a week.
I would like to give a nod to Matt, who was incredibly prompt in his replies when I contacted Knife Sharp for an update. He was brilliant and professional.
I would happily use this service again, though it'll be quite some time before I need to send them back!

Easily sent my knives safely in the provided boxes and received back super sharp knives swiftly.

After spending pounds and pounds on different variety of knife sharpeners the results has always been having more damaged knives. so eventually after spending a full hour on a stupid sharpal and seeing my knife being even more dull than before I've just decided to send to them. My santoku was in a really bad state and it looks new now. it seems a bit pricy but you eventually gain in time and peace of mind as return. will use this service more and more again when needed!

Damaged handles. If using this company be careful as they returned my knifes with damaged handles. They claim it’s covered in the T&C’s but they are very unclear.

Turnaround & sharpness is faultless.

From start to finish process was seamless & simple with amazing results. Paring Knife in particular had knicks out of the blade and never really happy with home sharpening, now, you wouldn't know it was 20 years old! Decided to use this service at least once a year, would highly recommend. Thank you KNIFE SHARP.

My knifes come back good as new all within a week so happy with the service

First rate service and simplicity of system

Simply fantastic! My old Global knives are as sharp, if not sharper, than the day they were bought! Incredible service and great value for money!

Easy to use service. Clever triple use packaging made the whole process very simple. Knives were sharpened quickly. Very pleased with the end result - 5 global knives returned to ‘as new’ standard, with one broken knife tip repaired too.

The whole process was really easy. They were sent off, sharpened and repaired to good as new and back in my clammy little fists within a week. Will definitely be using again.

Updated Rating and Review. After initial disappointment, Matt responded very quickly and worked personally to fix the issue. Turns out our knives had missed a production step. Matt sent out a collection box the next day. He sharpened the knives personally and then sent them back. I opened the knives tonight and I must say, they are brilliant. Great customer service, great comms, and brilliant product. I shall be using Knife Sharp for all my knife-sharpening needs from now on. Thank you Matt.

5 knives and used the faster DPD service. The initial Evri dispatch was a bit slower than anticipated but the turnaround when the knives were with Knife Sharp and back to me in perfect, razor sharp condition was excellent. I’d personally pay a bit more for DPD for the drop off stage to get the whole service quicker when required. Thanks again for the excellent service. 5 stars.

100% recommended and will be using again. Knives were even sharper than when we bought them.

My overall experience was excellent. The organisation of the shipping was particularly good. The three knives I selected for sharpening, were too dull for simply dressing up with a steel. They were returned in a very sharp condition.

Excellent service- once the order was placed, suitable packaging was delivered, no problem sending the knives via the Post Office. The mixed range of knives (different sizes and types) were soon returned. We also took up your offer of a spare knife to use while ours were being sharpened

This was my first time using Knife Sharp and it was an excellent experience. Clever multiple use packaging, easy process and quick turnaround. And, for the first time in living memory, sharp knives!

Very pleased with the service- very clear instructions, prompt return and my knives came back very sharp. Will use again! :)
