Has been a blessing for my adventures. So many unique trail routes

I can't cancel my subscription! And now it won't even allow me to log in and there is no way to contact anyone. Terrible. Don't touch it!

Used it once in Spain, was useless and actually anoing as it only allowed to go from a single defined starting point. Signed up to a 'free trial' to be reminded of payment 2 days before payed subscription. There was no reminder, just got charged. Then impossible to cancel, the website just leads you in circles, THIS IS A FRAUD! Ended up cancelling payment card

I am very impressed indeed with Komoot for my hiking/yomping. The unique benefit is being able to use the app and navigation in airplane mode to save on data roaming and battery power. I like everything about the app

I purchased the world map pack in 2024, and never really used it. But now I decided to plan a route, and although I paid for it, a one off payment of £19.99, I don't have it, the app is telling me I need to pay again.
I have contacted their support which I think is AI driven and it keeps asking for the same things, I have sect the transaction details from the playstore and that's all I have, yet I am caught in this endless loop.
These companies make it so difficult to speak to an actual person to get something sorted.
I am going an actual person picks this up and it can be sorted out.

Solid app for navigation etc but account management is terrible. Complicated to extricate from. Not impressed.

ik ben al meer als een maand aan het wachten op mijn terugbetaling van mijn jaarabonnement. Ik heb binnen de 60 dagen mijn aanvraag ingediend. Elke keer als er een contact geweest is, duurt het weer dagen voor ik weer reactie krijg. Mijn Paypal account waarmee de betaling gebeurde was al afgesloten voor mijn aanvraag voor terugbetaling Komoot. Ik heb mijn bankrekeningnummer meegedeeld waarop terugbetaling moet gebeuren. Nu krijg ik antwoord dat ik een nieuwe account moet aanmaken op Paypal en dat ik het nieuwe emailadres moet doorgeven voor refund. Komoot moet niet bepalen welke betaalmiddelen ik gebruik! Dat is mijn keuze. Geef ik feedback/klacht op de App krijg ik een nutteloos antwoord van AI. Moedeloos word ik ervan!

This app is a con, I paid for lifetime subscription and it doesn’t work properly and or very hard to use, they want me to subscribe for better and better service. Why would I pay more for poor quality service. I wouldn’t recommend this app.
You can get great cycle routes of of Google that are better.

4 okt bestelde ik een gratis proefabonnement op komoot. Om een bepaalde route te kunnen bekijken. Via google play, betaling via kpn.. ???
Afijn het zou gratis zijn.

Op de een of andere manier is er een wekelijks abonnement van gemaakt wat 7,99 euro per week kost.
Ik zag deze afschrijvingen niet van mijn rekening gaan omdat ze verpakt zijn in de nota van de kpn.
Deze maand viel me op dat dit bedrag van mijn kpn afschrift eigenlijk aan de hoge kant was en wat blijkt.. ik betaal al maanden 7,99 euro per week aan komoot.

Om geld terug te vragen probeer ik contact te leggen met komoot.. krijg je AI samengestelde emails op je vragen. Daar kom je ook niet verder mee dus....

Ik voel me behoorlijk om de tuin geleid.

Toch opnieuw en opnieuw een mail gezonden en uiteindelijk een persoon getroffen die begrip had voor mijn kant en de terugbetaling heeft geregeld.

Just got a notification from PayPal that I'd paid £4.99 to Komoot. Must have forgotten I'd signed up. Can't cancel. PayPal says contact Google pay. Not showing on my Google pay account. Komoot says the same and their website is unhelpful

I am completely puzzled by the poor reviews this has got. I have used this app/desktop/laptop site for around 8 years now. In the UK, France, the Netherlands, Northern Ireland and soon in Ukraine!!!
So that is 176 rides, some short some very long.
I am struggling to think of anything negative to say about it - seriously. I upgraded to Premium thinking it was a money making PR thing but I was 100% wrong. The additional enhancements are well worth it.
Just planned a 6 day "Collection" and it even gives me suggested places to stay.
I mean what is there not to like about Komoot???
What else out there is doing this as well or better?
And the main thing is it so customisable so you can get it to suit your needs.
I also need to have confidence when I am out and about especially abroad and Komoot never lets me down.
Every revision or upgrade is, in my opinion, a positive one. They really do listen to their users.

Very poorly designed app. It is almost as if it was intentionally created to be complicated to use, and only marginally functional. I question weather its developers actually knew what they were doing. 😒

Komoot is a great app and web interface: reasonably priced, intuitive, and easy to use for planning and tracking outdoor activities.

However, there is clear data lock-in. It is not possible to export all tracks in bulk; tracks must be exported one by one. Photo export is similarly cumbersome, requiring each photo to be saved individually. Both workflows are unnecessarily time-consuming.

Bulk export of tracks and photos would improve the product, to allow viewing trips in other programs on PC.

Leider sorgt seit Monaten fast jede weitere Anpassung der Webseite dafür, dass sie insbesondere für die Tourenplanung immer weniger nutzbar ist. Gefühlt wird man zugemüllt mit Informationen und alles wird größer und umfangreicher. Auf einem kleinen Laptop Bildschirm verschiebt sich deshalb die Karte beispielsweise während der Tourenplanung ständig durch die Wegpunkt Pop-ups und man muss die Karte jedes Mal wieder manuell an die vorige Kartenposition zurückschieben.

Auf der Seite zu den Fotos zu einem Wegpunkt kann man auf den Fotos kaum noch etwas erkennen, weil so viele andere Informationen auf der Seite angezeigt werden, dass für die Fotos kaum noch Platz bleibt.

Ich habe die Größe der Seite über den Browser bereits auf 80% reduziert, damit die Kartenposition durch die Wegpunkt Pop-ups nicht ständig verändert wird und auf den Fotos überhaupt noch etwas erkennbar ist. Die wichtigen Informationen in den Wegpunkten sind dann aber so klein, dass man sie kaum noch entziffern kann.

Leider machen die penetranten Anzeigen zu weiteren Premium Angeboten das Handling auch nicht besser.

Alles sehr bedauerlich. Das war mal eine richtig gut funktionierende und faire Webseite. Das neue Team macht leider keinen guten Job, und es scheint auch so, dass sich daran nichts mehr ändert. Zeit zum Einstieg ist ja mittlerweile genug vorhanden gewesen.

Ich muss mich wohl nach besseren Alternativen umsehen.

Komoot is actually quite awful. It could be me failing the learning curve, but I seem to manage ok on other applications. I generally use ride with GPS and Cycle Travel for planning my cycling routes but others have shared routes from Komoot and like it/recommend it, I might be missing something. So I thought I'd give it a try.
First off searching for existing routes - it doesn't show most of them even after I've pressed 'clear all filters' in case I'm filtering stuff out.
Next, planning a route. Start creating a route, click on the map on a road and get an error message 'No known road, street or path leads to this waypoint. How would you like to proceed?' Ok if there's no known road why are you showing me one on the map? Meanwhile the route created up to that point has disappeared.
At this point I give up.

Depuis quatre ans j'utilise Komoot pour planifier mes longues sorties en vélo gravel et de la petite randonnée (- de 20 km). Donc au moins une fois par semaine.
J'en suis très satisfait. C'est sûr qu'il faut vérifier la trace avec soin avant de partir à l'aventure si on ne veut pas de mauvaises surprises, mais c'est vrai pour toutes les applications GPS que j'ai testées.

J'avais l'application "all trails" que j'appréciais énormément mais jai changer de téléphone et quand je voulais obtenir les points de départ maps ne reconnaissais pas les lieux "codee" par l'application du coup jai mis komoot jai direct pris le pack monde et contrairement a ce que jai lu je trouve ca parfais et très rentable ! Si all trails avais pas ce problème mais je penses que c'est le téléphone je n'aurais pas connu komoot pour ceux pas satisfait essayer all trails elle est top

Je l'aimais bien jusqu'à ce que la vision satellite ne fonctionne plus. Il faut corriger.
