I spent almost a year trying to learn DevOps on my own. Tutorials, free courses, cheap bootcamps, I had all of it. But I kept losing direction and ended up with a shallow understanding of tools I couldn't actually use in practice.

KubeCraft changed that everything for me. The curriculum is well thought out, the progression makes sense, and the community is genuinely active and supportive. Whenever I get stuck, someone is always ready to help.

What surprised me most is that Mischa goes beyond just teaching DevOps. The way he teaches you to learn and actually retain knowledge changed how I study entirely. I went from consuming content to building real skills.

I've been learning from the KubeCraft team since mid summer of 2025 and have found extreme value in the community, the content and Mischa's professional acumen is top notch. Additionally I'll say that this group of professionals really cares about the improvement of the individual striving to grow and learn. I recommend this group of knowledge seekers to anyone seeking to break into the tech field as I am.

Kubecraft is a solid platform for learning the basics of Linux, Kubernetes, and DevOps. The guided labs are well structured and make it easy to stay focused without getting stuck on setup or environment issues. I especially liked the hands-on approach—it helps build confidence quickly.

That said, it abstracts away a lot of real-world complexity. You’re working in preconfigured environments, so you don’t get much exposure to troubleshooting, building clusters from scratch, or dealing with the kinds of issues you’ll face in production.

Overall, it’s a great starting point and good for building foundational knowledge, but I’d strongly recommend pairing it with your own lab environment if you want to develop real-world skills.

Since I met Mischa Van den Burg on Youtube, my life took another turn. I first did his free Linux course on Skool, and then I decided to enroll in the Kubecraft program. The Kubecraft system is very well thought out, and it teaches you everything to start a devops career and find a job.

I'm still early in the program, but I came in with my RHCSA and almost skipped the Linux fundamentals. Don't make that mistake. KubeCraft covered concepts and real-world applications that my RHCSA prep never touched. It filled gaps I didn't even know I had, and I'm only 1/5th into the program!

What I didn't expect was the Focus OS course at the beginning. Mischa introduces the Zettelkasten method for note-taking, and it has genuinely revolutionized how I organize my thoughts and retain what I study. That alone has changed how I think, learn, and retain information. I went from consuming content to actually building knowledge.

This isn't just a DevOps program. Mischa teaches life principles that build real discipline. I wanted a mentor who practices what they preach. He does. Part monk, part engineer, and exactly what I needed. Highly recommend.

For someone who has struggled with properly setting and achieving goals, I highly recommend Kubecraft curriculum and the Obsidian course in particular for proper goal setting. I was initially excited for this course because i had found Mischa through his productivity and note taking content because i've been trying to build a system for so long

Now i fully understand why i have tried and failed for so long but never gave up, thank god i didn't today i completed the FocusOS course and it has radically changed my life for the better

This course is not only geared towards DevOps its an Operating system for you entire life.

I feel clear and in control i feel aligned with my vision now and what i want to achieve and what i have to do on a daily basis to accomplish that goal

the way that it is structured is that you build the system that will allow you to intake and process all of the information that is available and there is a lot of information it took me a few days to go through it but i'm glad that i did because now i feel more than ready to tackle any new piece of information that comes my way

I'm more intentional with the content that i consume and just life in general i completed this on Dec, 29, 2025 so its right before the new year and its truly been such an amazing gift to be able to do.

Now i feel ready to tackle all of the exciting DevOps information linux, bash scripting, python, kubernetes and whatever else is to come

KubeCraft Career Accelerator is honestly one of the best DevOps programs out there right now. Each dollar is worth it. Mischa just launched 8 hours of linux materials, he teaches Arch from basics and help us build the whole homelab! Mischa's not one of those outdated “DevOps gurus” who stopped doing real work years ago. Mischa is actively working as a remote DevOps engineer, and he teaches exactly how DevOps is done in the real world today. That alone makes him miles ahead of most coaches in this space. The course material is modern, practical, and very well-structured. There’s a clear step-by-step roadmap, proper milestones, and no random or unnecessary content. Everything you learn actually connects and builds toward real DevOps skills.

I found Kubecraft at the right point in my career, was watching some YouTube videos and my wife said about Mischa, "He speaks your brain language.".
