Thermal Burns After Facial & No Follow-Up From Clinic
I had a deeply upsetting experience at La Bises Beauty Clinic and Spa Newmarket.
On 27 December 2025, I received a deep cleaning facial followed by a TCA + Salicylic Acid chemical peel. During the high-frequency wand treatment, I clearly expressed that I was in pain, but the clinician continued regardless.
Within 24 hours, I developed blisters, scabbing, and burns on my face. A doctor has confirmed these are thermal burns, not expected post-facial reactions, and I have been warned about the risk of permanent scarring requiring laser treatment.
I attempted to resolve this directly with the clinic but was dismissed, ignored, and ultimately never contacted by the owner despite assurances that she would call.
I was also pressured into purchasing an $880 treatment package on the same day — something I deeply regret given the injury caused.
This situation reflects a serious lack of care, professionalism, and aftercare responsibility. I am now pursuing resolution under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
