Our application process is simple and straightforward. Answer a few questions about your health and lifestyle through our online application, and most applicants receive a decision as soon as their online application is submitted. For those who don’t, underwriting through Ladder or one of our partners typically takes under two weeks.

Life changes over time, and your coverage can too. Depending on your policy, you may be able to reduce your coverage amount — and your monthly premium — as your needs change. You can also apply for additional coverage directly through your Ladder account. (We call this “Laddering”!)

Waste of a lot of time and the company


Waste of a lot of time and the company didn’t ask for proof of death
 when I explained that my mother’s death kept me from paying bills because I had to pay the mortgage so my family and I wouldn’t lose her house. However the agents involved tried to help
. I was trying to reinstate my policy for a month.. then was denied

Additionally, if you exceed the grace period window, you would have the opportunity to be considered for reinstatement. However, reinstatement of a lapsed policy is subject to review, which can take some time, and is not guaranteed.

Got canceled after updating payment, smh, also cant reach anyone to talk to, worse life insurance ever

To clarify, Ladder offers a 60 to 61-day grace period, and if payments are not received within that time frame, the policy will lapse. The ease of use was great

The ease of use was great. I figured it would take a long time and a lot of questions to fill out but you have made it simple, and the prices are VERY competitive. I also like the options of how to pay for insurance, very convenient, plus I can go and change beneficiary at any time and the percentage they receive. Nice Job !!

Yes I apply for this insurance and yes I was turned down and I was forwarded to another insurance company because I am 65 years old that to me is discrimination people should not be allowed to do what they do and this company does it so if there's anybody out there looking for insurance and you are 65 or 60 and older don't apply here because they turn you down or they push you into somebody else that is to me is discrimination to the elderly and the reason being is they figure if you're young they can get many many years of money from you but when you're older they probably figure you're going to kick the buck and you're not going to get anything

I agreed to a certain coverage then you


I agreed to a certain coverage then you gave a completely different policy. The option to edit the policy was not available and did not fit my needs. I also did not confirm the policy before being charged.

When an applicant qualifies for an offer, we may present you with an offer that has a monthly premium closer to your quoted price, which can result in your coverage being lowered. That said, you may have the option to adjust your coverage back to your original requested coverage amount.
