Got the Kolstad in dark oak. It arrived very well protected and is a really well made piece of wood work. They were also able to help me with a bespoke request for some vinyl shelves and phoned up to make sure that all went correctly. Really happy with it.

Just received my third item from Lagom Studio (Cabinet, Vinyl Tower and Turntable isolation platform). Each item is stunning and such good quality. The ordering process was easy and they kept you informed re time scales, the delivery process was equally as efficient. Not sure I need any more items at the moment but would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I ordered a small vinyl cabinet with storage. Order process was seamless, i had it made to very specific sizes to fit a space in my apartment. The unit is very well built, sturdy and is exactly what i wanted. The only issue i had was the time I had to wait for it, but realistically if something is being custom made you have to be patient. We ordered it over the very busy Christmas period so it came about 8 weeks after the order. I called at the end of December to check on the order and their communication was very clear and they outlined when it would likely arrive. Definitely worth the wait! Thanks Lagom

From my original enquiry on a weekend when someone contacted me immediately even though they were out of the country on holiday through to the final piece of furniture being delivered six weeks later exactly on time dealing with Lagom Studios has been an exceptional experience. They are fantastic communicators, the customer service is excellent and the record storage cabinet is stunning and a great bit of workmanship. I would highly recommend them! We initially thought about vinyl storage when searching out Lägom Studio and we were so impressed with the photos from their previous customers we decided to tweak a couple of their designs and had them make us two bespoke cabinets in American Black Walnut for the equipment in our AV media studio.

We are so glad we did.

There was a wait for my item (vinyl record cleaning brush) however I could easily track the progress and it was worth the wait. The item arrived well packaged and it is very high quality. The price was also good and I have no issues or complaints at all.

I ordered a cabinet from Lagom Studio to house my vinyl collection and I’m over the moon with it. As a collector, storage is a big deal. It needed to fit my space, hold the records properly and look good too. Lagom absolutely nailed it. They helped me get the measurements spot on for both my room and my collection and even sent out wood samples so I could see the finish in person before choosing.

They were patient and answered all my (many!) questions without fuss. I got updates all the way through, delivery was smooth and my cabinet arrived really well packaged. The little bag of local mints tucked in with it was such a nice touch too.

Most importantly, the cabinet itself is stunning. It’s solid, beautifully made and it makes my records feel like they finally have the home they deserve. It’s become a real feature in my room.

Highly recommend them to anyone serious about their vinyl.

I needed a central unit for my hifi seperates and my Vinyl. Firstly I bought one from a company that knocks together scaffold boards which was awful. So I went on the web and stumbled on Lagom. I ordered, and six weeks later I have a beautifully made cabinet that isn't only very well made but looks amazing too. This company value your business and when we couldn't agree with a delivery date with the courier as I only live ten miles away they delivered it by hand, now thats service. I'm a very happy guy now, thanks Lagom

Where did 3 of the stars go???
First star has gone as when I ordered my unit on the 5th of May, it was highlighted prior to paying that the cabinet could take 6 weeks to receive. So 42 days later it would have arrived by 15th of June. The cabinet arrived on the Monday the 7th of July. By my calculation, the cabinet was 22 days late. I can understand a few days either way… but 3 weeks.
You may be wondering??? Well this should be a 4 Star review.
The delivery lads did a grand job and lifted the cabinet into the house (3meters long) that was very much appreciated. I inspected the packaging and all looked sound, no scuffs on the cardboard, to indicate scuffs or scrapes.
During the removal of the protective cardboard we found that the back rear panel at right hand side was not in place. There was a gap of about the same size as the thickness of the backing board on both the upper and lower panels. These things happen, so I thought that Lagom customer relations should be aware of the issue. What follows is my email to Lagom…

Sorry for this but the unit has a slight issue, it's not a biggy, I can fix it, but thought you should know the backing on the unit was not installed correctly or it as came loose during transit.

Sorry to hear this has happened. First time i've ever seen this, it would take some force to push the backing off, I see you didn't go for stop strips and so I assume you've most likely pushed your records into the back of the cabinet and so put force against the backing, stop strips stop this from happening as your records hit the stop before the backing.

Needless to say that this was not the response I expected, so I was a bit annoyed (to say the least), So I responded to this Chris with.

The unit is empty, I have not put anything into it. All I did was take the cardboard off and was faced with the backboard being off.

Do you actually think the force of someone putting delicate vinyl into your unit will push the back off that easy.

Now... hopefully you Trust Pilot customers are reading my review because Chris’s next reply is interesting. Here’s where the second Star dropped.

I'm disappointed and confused by your response. I wasn't stating that this is what happened, just to be wary of that. We don't glue backings because a lot of customers over the years choose to remove this as it future-proofs the cabinet that way, so yes as vinyl is very heavy, pushing this into the backing as a "stop" could dislodge it of course.

This reply from Chris has confused me, does so many of his customers give him feedback a few years down the line to inform him that he is building his cabinets too securely, it would be more advisable to cut corners in the build quality….

I don’t think so Chris. Oh and in the first response, correct Chris I did not want to pay the extra £200 for stop strips as I am one of those non-Neanderthal vinyl collectors that place there delicate collection into cabinets. If I ever to come across a heavy handed vinyl collect, I will make sure not to point him in Lagom’s direction.

So that should be a 3 star review, I hear you Trust pilot customers say…

Although I did not want £200 stop strips, Lagom put them in anyway… or I may have gotten someone else’s cabinet.

They did not even get my cabinet order correct… 2 Stars

Minus a star for lateness in delivery, minus a star for poor build quality and minus the final star for getting my order wrong.

Last note, for all the 5 star reviewers that said their order came late, shame on you as this may have gave Lagom a chance to review their timings for future customers.

I could not recommend this company more. The quality of the craftsmanship is top notch. The attention to detail is leaps and bounds ahead of trying to hack your own ikea shelf into a DJ shelf. These are purpose built to spec, rugged, heavy duty shelves. Easily holding my collection of 600 records with no bends and looks incredible aesthetically as well !

More than anything, the service this company offers is bar none. I foolishly did not measure my staircase up to my flat, and the shelf didn't fit. Lagom studios sent me replacement plugs and stain at no extra cost, in addition to instructions on how to deconstruct the shelf so that I could take it up the stairs. They supported my 1000 questions along the way as a non carpenter and turned a disaster into a minor bump in the road. A+ product and A+ people.

Whilst there was a wait between when I ordered and receiving… it being bespoke and the Christmas period. I was always fully aware of how long I would be waiting - so expectations were managed straight away, and how worth the wait it was! Absolutely beautiful piece of furniture. The centrepiece of my lounge and my gosh does my Hifi system look bad boy on it. Got a call from the manufacturer as soon as it was ready for shipment which I think is a nice touch - really puts the human element back into buying things online. Masters of the craft! Thank you guys!

Received my Karlstad, three tier amp rack today and it is lovely. Great finish and the packaging was brilliant (if other companies need tips on how to effectively package and protect products, speak to these guys 👍). The lead in from order to delivery was as expected and they kept me fully up to date on things. Really pleased with the amp rack and can’t recommend Lagom Studio enough. In fact, I’m just in the process of ordering ‘The Tower’ three tier vinyl storage cabinet - hey, why not!? 😂❤️
