Gelukkig nog nodig gehad, maar goede info over de mail en betaalbare verzekering. Leuke opzet, ik wou dat er meer van dit soort bedrijven waren.

I’ve been with Laka for a few years now and unfortunately had to make a few claims recently I had a big off on my bike after downloading the videos and photos the claim was dealt with super fast and like all the other claims settled very fast i can’t fault the service

So helpful, was skeptical of Laka but have been throughly impressed, they went above and beyond with my last claim so make my life easy. Thanks, Laka!

J'ai malheureusement du faire appel à eux a la suite d'un vol de vélo, ils ont été très réactifs et ont rapidement traité ma demande.
Ils ont directement commandé le nouveau vélo auprès de Decathlon ce qui a grandement simplifié et accéléré le remplacement.
Je ne peux que recommander.

I’ve had a very positive experience with Laka following my recent cycling accident.

The claims process has been smooth, transparent, and well managed. The team has been responsive, supportive, and clear in their communication throughout. They handled the assessment of my damaged equipment efficiently and made the replacement process straightforward, which really helped reduce stress during recovery.

I also appreciated the flexibility and customer-focused approach — everything felt fair and well organised.

The only area that could be improved is the associated legal service provider (Carpenters). While it’s a great addition to have access to legal support, communication has been quite slow and less responsive than expected.

Overall, I would definitely recommend Laka for cycling insurance, with excellent service when you need it most.

Very straightforward process, took all the stress out of having part of my bike stolen! Laka was so helpful on email and they picked up my broken bike and delivered it back good as new a few days later. All round wonderful service! Thank you

Echt top service! Vriendelijk en snel! Mijn bakfiets was gestolen dus hier moest ik helaas een claim voor indienen. Na de claim had ik de volgende werkdag al een mail terug met de vraag om de informatie iets aan te vullen. Toen de informatie compleet was, werd het naar een andere afdeling gestuurd. Wederom werd het weer ontzettend snel opgepakt. Er werd gevraagd welke bakfiets ik wilde. Maar helaas hadden ze geen directe toegang tot dit model. Wel kreeg ik een ontzettend goede aanbieding aangeboden. Toch besloten liever een 3 wieler te willen hebben. Had ik de volgende werkdag het geld op mijn rekening gestoord gekregen. En kon ik gelijk m'n nieuwe fiets bestellen. En hij morgen al binnen!! Ik ben ontzettend blij en dankbaar❤️ al het personeel waar ik mee gesproken heb waren ook zo meelevend en vriendelijk.

I had a very disappointing experience with Laka. After my bike was stolen, I submitted a claim in good faith, expecting support during what was already a stressful situation.

However, my claim was rejected on the basis that the lock was not “properly attached,” despite the fact that the bike was secured. This feels like an overly strict interpretation of their policy, used to avoid paying out rather than supporting customers.

As a delivery rider, it’s not practical to take photos of your bike every single time you park it. Expecting this level of proof after the fact is unrealistic and unfair.

The whole experience has left me feeling that the policy is designed with loopholes that can easily be used to reject claims. I would strongly advise others to carefully read the terms and conditions and consider whether this level of risk is acceptable before choosing Laka.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend them based on my experience.

It works and that's a lot! I have to admit that the whole process of claiming after theft was extremely smooth.

They were very responsive and helped find another bike. I also managed to top up the amount and get a more expensive one.

We have LAKA for 2 year and recently need to use , service was good, takes a time to prepare all the evidence required because we never prepare our self for a incident , but if we ready their notifications , they informed us before .

Please pass on my appreciation to the team for such a quick and seamless process.

Nooit een schade gehad, wel bij Laka verzekerd. Ongeluk zit in een klein hoekje, toch? Ga ik toch onderuit! Fiets goed stuk. TREK reparateur stelt keurig schaderapport op, flinke schade. Rick van Laka pakt het snel en kundig op. Binnen een paar dagen is het schadebedrag al op mijn rekening gestort. Top service!!

I cancelled my insurance with Laka several months ago. Unfortunately they are still taking money out if my account on a monthly basis.
There is no contact number and I can only communicate via their bot ( to which I have had no reply) or email. Of course, I have no evidence that I cancelled as it was all done via their website and I foolishly trusted them.
I have now managed to get bank ti block any future payments to them from my card and, just gave to hope that I xan recover the almost £100 they owe ne.

Fast response, fast resolution, a really fair settlement and no stress. Very much needed.

Even jammer dat ik niemand kon spreken maar na 2 dagen reactie op mijn mail en toen de claim in werking was gezet was de afhandeling heel prettig en snel.
