I have just completed a level of French lessons with the teacher Julie. She is super professional and well-versed in the language. I highly recommend her to students of all levels. My coordinator, Florencia, was also extremely helpful. I was able to change my schedule when needed and request additional study materials. She was always there for me, whenever I needed her. The payment process was also smooth. I was able to arrange installments, which I very much appreciated. Overall, I am very happy with language trainers and Julie. Thank you, guys!

Terrible company, they don't pay their teachers. Don't use them, it's blatant wage theft.

I started learning Moroccan Arabic at the start of the year with my teacher Elhalloubi, it has been such a smooth process. Organising lessons and what suits me best, everyone has been so helpful.
I never thought I could fully engage in online lessons but have been so pleasantly surprised by how well the course is set. Feel super comfortable and eager to learn. All thanks to Language Trainers for making it happen.

Update: they couldn’t find a teacher, and I was paid a refund.

My fiancé is German, and I had reached out to Language Trainers to learn German to better assimilate to his culture, and communicate better with his family before summer of 2023. When we initially started looking for a teacher in the Westport, CT area, my fiancé had reached out but then quickly turned it over to me, as I would be the one taking the lessons. I reached out to Barbara Fuhr and agreed to sign on for 15 lessons.

From there, it started to become completely disorganized once I agreed to sign on and was connected to the coordinator, Poppy Perez. It started with the agreement being sent to my fiancé instead of me and multiple emails being sent to him without me CC’d. After they found a teacher who agreed to come to my home, they sent them my fiancé’s phone number so the teacher reached out to him instead of me.

After I was mapped to an in person instructor, the experience started to improve. I really liked my instructor, Nadine Vargas, who came to my house weekly from 6-8pm, but after 5 sessions I received a text from her that my home was too far away from Stamford (25 min) and that she had to get up early the next day so she could no longer continue my lessons. No warning, no “let’s figure out a solution,” just a complete cancellation. Per the contract, the customer can’t cancel, even if the teacher discontinues the lesson, and there is no accountability from the Language Trainers to find a replacement in a reasonable amount of time, so I’m now out over $1,500 with only 5 of 15 lessons complete with no indication when I can continue my lessons. The contract doesn’t hold anyone account accountable other than the customer. Not the teacher and not the company. It’s also ironic how they require you to complete the course in 6 months but hold zero responsibility for them to find a teacher if yours cancels. I totally understand things happen, but it’s unacceptable to have a teacher cancel out of the blue and the company not have a list of teachers that can easily replace that teacher in a reasonable time.

I have been working with Language Trainers for a few months now and it has been an amazing experience! They have been very supportive and informative and always check if the lessons are going well or if you need any help with extra material or their website. Also, I find it very important that you are free to plan your lessons according to your student's needs. They are professionals and I really enjoy being part of their team! I highly recommend Language Trainers!

I have been having Spanish language lessons with Margarita for the past 6 weeks 2 x 2 hour lessons everyweek and it is extremely enjoyable.

Margarita is a fantastic teacher very patient and understanding of my needs, she ties the lessons in to my working pace of life brilliantly and does not overwhelm me with too much information at once, her lessons are well structured to my needs and she is very flexible.

Margarita has an excellent way if explaining the different use of the language and the complexity of when to use and not to use the vocabulary.

The lessons are fun, light and easy to follow, I am not over run with self study between lessons, this is down to me to control, which is perfect due to my job, which does not always allow for study time.

The books recommended by Margarita are great and Margarita explains when a phrase may be Latin American as a pose to Spanish used in mainland Spain (my focus). She has also recommended other useful websites and sources of learning, to help with listening and speaking.

I love the fact that Margarita is very particular on the correct use of grammar and pronunciation, as I am very much someone who needs to understand why something is the way it is and I feel pronunciation is key to being able to speak any language.

Margarita is a very approachable, easy to talk to and very friendly, she has an easy manner about her which makes learning from her so much better. She is very praising when you are getting things right and will explain if something is not quite right, in an easy to understand way.

I would highly recommend Margarita to anyone wanting to learn Spanish.

I would definitely recommend Language Trainers as a company to take up courses with. Everyone I have been in contact with from the company, so far, has been extremely informative along my journey with them.

We have used language trainers for our firm to do French training for our staff. They have been great to deal with and very accommodating for any feedback and changes to the course to ensure the learning meets the needs of our team. Our staff has found the lessons are helpful and have worked to increase their language skills. The teacher is very knowledgeable and is good at pacing and meeting the learning needs of the students.

Great experience with them ! I relocated to US for business and i needed a deep dive training to get used to American and enrich my vocabulary...Juliana, my teacher, did a great job, customizing each lesson based on my needs, using innovative teaching solutions that helped since the beginning to improve my language skills.

I've had my taster session with a lovely hebrew language instructor in Argentina. I was going for it and based on their website i have elected for 10 hours at $ 32.50 per hour for one on one. However, their sales (Ellie) lady has insisted that i should pay for 100 hours versus what their website says. Very disappointing as i was looking forward to continue with Miriam but i am walking away from this deceiving organisation

Signed up for Greek Classes. They could not get 3 people in the class so postponed on me for weeks. Then I asked for private lessons and an hour before my initial lesson they cancelled on me. I asked for a refund as I wanted to go a different route and they are a nightmare to get a refund from.

Language Trainers was the biggest every place to look forward to your career as a language teacher. With so various students coming all over the world everything happened with so greaat experienced because intead of teaching we also got the experience of sharing the culture and getting lot of connection with our students.
