Hello,
I am Ruslan, the administrator of Lapa. Thank you for your feedback. I have personally investigated your case, as we take pricing transparency and service quality very seriously.
1. Regarding the price difference and external advertisements:
You mentioned seeing an advertisement from the same breeder on a third-party platform, but you did not provide any links to these listings. In our experience, advertisements on classified boards are often unmonitored, and anyone can post anything. Scammers frequently steal photos of real puppies from social media and list them at suspiciously attractive prices, only to disappear after receiving payment. At Lapa, we only feature listings from breeders who have been thoroughly verified and vetted by us, using the prices they provide themselves.
Furthermore, breeders on external boards sometimes post a single advertisement for an entire litter. They often use a photo of a "top-tier" puppy to attract attention, while the starting price refers to other puppies in the litter (pet-class with defects). Such practices are strictly prohibited on Lapa. Each listing on our platform represents a specific animal with its own dedicated price. The puppy you were interested in is a show-class specimen without defects, and its actual market value simply cannot be â¬500.
2. Our Pricing Policy:
We maintain a strict rule for the 1,000+ breeders we collaborate with: the price provided for our marketplace cannot be higher than the price the breeder lists on any other public resource. We conduct regular audits, and if we detect price manipulation, we immediately terminate our partnership. In this instance, the breeder has provided us with proof confirming the puppy's actual value. Additionally, the breeder did not confirm any communication with you regarding a lower price. This would have been impossible anyway, as the puppy had already been sold by the time you inquired, which our employee informed you about.
3. Service, Logistics, and Security:
The price on our website is comprehensive and includes much more than just the cost of the puppy. It covers:
Boarding and care until the puppy reaches the legal age for EU export.
A full medical examination prior to departure.
Secure delivery to the Ukrainian border, where the puppy is met by the carrier.
Non-delivery insurance in case of force majeure â a level of safety and financial guarantee that no individual breeder provides on their own.
Conclusion:
I sincerely regret that the delay in updating the "Available" status and the inability to purchase a high-quality dog at a low price caused you frustration. Unfortunately, our manager made a mistake by not explaining these nuances to you immediately, and we are already working to improve our communication standards.
I remain personally available to help you find the perfect puppy at a fair price that matches its class and quality. Please contact me directly via our messengers if you are open to a dialogue.
