Sea House is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The location couldn't be better—it's such an easy, enjoyable walk down to the beach, making it effortless to pop out for a delicious smoothie or wander back and forth to the beach whenever you fancy.
The house is stunning, with a wonderful open-plan layout that creates the perfect family atmosphere while still feeling incredibly spacious. Even with a full house, everyone has plenty of room to relax, and it never feels crowded. It's the ideal place to escape the busyness of the beach and enjoy the peace and quiet.
Every detail has been carefully thought through. The bathrooms are beautiful, with plenty of them so guests never feel on top of each other. We loved the subtle night lights that guide you to the bathroom without waking everyone up—such a thoughtful touch! The sofas are wonderfully soft and comfortable, the beds are incredibly cosy, and the whole house is finished to an exceptionally high standard.
Sea House truly has everything you could possibly need and more. Playroom / tv room for the children. A hidden built in trampoline. Plenty of sun and shade in the garden! It's stylish, comfortable, welcoming, and perfectly located. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay and will definitely be back. A real hidden gem near Polzeath that we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to family and friends! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our stay at Fairview Polzeath

Fairview is in a fantastic location and the outdoor space is lovely, which is why it is such a shame that the property itself fell well below our expectations.

Upon arrival, we noticed a musty smell throughout the property, along with cobwebs in several areas and a very dirty bathroom extractor fan. The accommodation generally felt tired and in need of attention.

The biggest issue was the sleeping arrangements. The master bedroom bed was extremely uncomfortable and creaked whenever anyone moved. As a result, my father developed back pain and ended up sleeping on the sofa. The single bed was unstable, noisy and felt as though it could break at any moment. My sister eventually had to put the mattress on the floor in order to get some sleep. For a holiday property, a comfortable night’s sleep should be a basic expectation.

There were also several maintenance issues, including a water stain on the living room wall, chipped paintwork, condensation on the windows and rubble left outside the back door. Storage was very limited for the number of guests, with only one wardrobe available, which was also being used to store the vacuum cleaner. There were no coat hooks anywhere in the property despite having a large entrance hallway.

The hot water also ran out after only three people had showered, which was inconvenient for a property accommodating multiple guests.

Before posting this review, we contacted the management company directly and provided detailed feedback, along with photographs of the issues we encountered. While they acknowledged our comments, we felt the concerns were largely dismissed because they had not been reported during our stay, despite many of the issues being ongoing problems that could not realistically have been resolved during our holiday.

Fairview has great potential because of its location and outdoor space, but unfortunately the cleanliness, maintenance and comfort issues significantly impacted our stay. Hopefully these concerns will be addressed for future guests.

​Review: Sunrise, Polzeath - Recent Stay

​While the property is situated in a desirable location, our recent stay was unfortunately marred by several significant issues regarding cleanliness and amenities.

Upon arrival, we found the standard of cleanliness to be below expectations. The bathroom tub appeared unwashed from previous use, and both the kitchen countertops and cutlery required cleaning before they could be used (old food still on counters and cutlery). Additionally, despite the "no pets on furniture" policy, there was a noticeable amount of pet hair and visible staining and muddy footprints on the upholstery.

The heating in the main living area was inadequate. The electric heater provided was unable to sufficiently warm the space even at its highest setting and frequently timed out. We also noted a lack of basic essentials, such as hand soap and a hairdryer, which would have greatly improved the convenience of our stay.

Prospective guests with pets should be aware that the communal garden is not enclosed and leads directly onto a main country road. For safety, it is essential to keep dogs on a lead at all times.

Though the location is excellent, the property requires better maintenance and more thoughtful provisioning to meet a professional standard of hospitality. Due to these factors, we would likely not choose to book this accommodation again.

Seabreeze Polzeath

Seabreeze - the living area at the property upstairs was open plan, spacious and very nice. Unfortunately the downstairs was not spacious enough for a family and would be impossible for 6 people and 2 children. There were no wardrobes at all and the one shower room was not adequate for so many people. It has a concreate pebbled floor that was constantly wet. The door had to be left open all of the time in order for it not to smell and dry. The property was really nice but very small and a maximum of 4 people

Pendeenah Polzeath

11 of us stayed in Pendeenah which is a fabulous house with great views. Loved the veranda. Excellent wetroom, a bonus for our family returning from surfing.

Lat 50 dealt with any issues we had both promptly and efficiently. Thank you, Luke in particular.

The house manual could be more detailed for those of us who don't live in such a modern house. It may take you days to work out how to master the light switches ;0D If we were nit picking kitchen lacked some equipment eg pizza cutter, serving spoons, strainer etc

Great family stay location.

We stayed at the Bowji for a family wedding.

We stayed at the Bowji for a family wedding. The property was clean with a lovely welcome pack. Great location for walking and beaches. We loved the views and the open plan living room/kitchen. Although dog friendly, the rules were very strict where the dog was allowed. It would have been nice to have a walk in shower in the on suite. Also the shower in the main bathroom had a lot of mould around the edges, which should be addressed. A taller wardrobe in the main bedroom would have been useful. We loved our stay and the location.

Beautiful views and great position

Latitude 50 were very helpful in resolving issues with Rosevarlock. However, I wouldn't recommend staying here with small children. The wooden stairs are very steep and there are a lot of steps in the garden. There is no gate between the garden and the parking area.
On the positive side, the house is in a prime spot close to the beach and the views are stunning.

Our experience at Iona.

We recently booked Iona for our wedding in August 25. The booking experience was fine and all went well. When we arrived at the house however there were a few issues. The owners had been in previously and all the bins were full and not collected which we had to report this was sorted however. The house its self is located in beautiful grounds and area which was ideal for our stay. We booked Iona as it was big enough for everyone staying which was 14 of us including 3 small children, however for the price charged we found the house severely lacking the first impression is good but it is very dated especially in the older part of the house. For a house with 6 bedrooms to have only 2 bathrooms (one of which had a shower that did not work) is not acceptable this was reported and we were told that the owners thought that this was ok. The shower was reported and the guy said it needs replaced. The shower room in the newer part of the house is very old and dated with scruffy carpet on the floor. (who has carpet in a bathroom??) The kitchen is a lovely space all open plan with the lounge are leading to the garden. However it only has 1 cooker which is an AGA style with only 2 cooking spaces one of which is just a warming oven, this means if you wanted to cook a meal for all your guests unless its being made on the stove its not really possible.
There was not a "Handover" when we arrived and consequently we didn't have a clue where anything was or how to operate things as we didn't receive the instruction email until the next day after i called and asked. I did mention all this to Latitude 50 who said they had spoken to the owners and they were happy with the service we received & would not authorise any kind of compensation or even an apology which i thought was surprising. In my opinion the owners of this house should invest some of the money they earn from renting this property and get it updated to reflect the amount of money they charge to hire it out.

Waverly is a nice apartment however


Waverly is a nice apartment however there are a number of issues . One is there is a problem with the entrance door the lock does not always open it took us ages to be able to open the door . Also the dedicated car park space for Waverly was taken by another car , there was nowhere to park . Tried to ring the Latitude management only an answer phone . This is clearly not good enough . The village car parks are very busy so nowhere to park .
No contact from the management .very poor service for a fairly expensive apartment.

The Gate House nr Rock, Cornwall

We chose The Gate House, near Rock for the convenient location. It abuts a VERY busy road, so the traffic noise was constant from early morning until the evening which was disappointing. Owner was friendly and there were lots of nice welcoming touches, such as wine and a homemade cake! The kitchen was clean, well kitted out, spacious and bright. The garden is also lovely, perfect for sitting outside and dogs. Overall, however, the property desparately needs updating, as the decor is pretty tired. There was a very unpleasant smell of damp throughout the property which hits you as soon as you walk in. The bathroom is large, with a very generously sized shower and bathtub. However, the shower tray is wholly inadequate/poorly installed, so the floor floods easily and the sink leaked. It was difficult to adjust the water temperature on all taps throughout (DANGEROUS if small children are staying)! Carpets & floors were filthy (hadn't been swept/mopped for months under sofa,  as we discovered when we retrieved our dog's small ball). Beautiful flowers throughout but they were all in various stages of dying upstairs. Outside clothesline was filthy and worn, so of no use whatsoever. We managed to find a clothes airer under the stairs but it was missing a leg, so had to be propped up in order to make use of it.  This could be a fabulous holiday let but, for the money, there are much better alternatives.

We booked Fairview in Polezeath

We booked Fairview in Polezeath. It is dog friendly, which even through we don’t have a dog, we don’t mind as dog owners are typically charged extra we assume for a thorough clean. However, the property (which has no carpets) had a very strong smell of dog to the front room and entrance hall and a faint odour of cigarettes. There was dog hair on the sofas and on the floors to the front room, bathroom and bedrooms which was collecting on our toddlers clothes. Under / the edges of sofas and a rug in the front room had not been cleaned.

We complained and to be fair to latitude 50 they sent a the cleaner back specifically requesting floors and sofas to be focused on. When we returned the dog hairs were still on the floors (so it was not properly re cleaned) however they had sprayed air freshener, and when this dissipated the smell returned.
Quite frankly the property needs a deep clean and likely new sofas. The beds were also terrible quality. We were told the property had not been let the week before as justification however this almost makes it worse. This is not what we expect from holiday providers and was our first booking with Latitude 50 having used other firms for many years with no issues. Needless to say we won’t be using them again. Cleanliness is an expectation when arriving at a holiday let and being dog friendly is no excuse. Especially as dog owners are typically charged extra so the property should be subject to a more thorough clean.

Be aware before you book with Latitude 50!

We booked LITTLE RIGGS for a holiday in October earlier this year. We paid our deposit and were happy with our booking as we had stayed at Little Riggs previously and knew that it was a quiet property both inside and out which was very important to both us and our dog.
Early last week we received an email from Latitude 50 advising of external and internal building work to the property next to Little Riggs which was already taking place and would be occurring whilst we were at the property. Having researched the planning application for the property concerned (approved early 2025) we were dismayed to see the work is actually quite major with a further floor being added, removal of a part of a wall which is on the boundary of Little Riggs, roof work, and other works involved with a major extension. The planning approval also gives no restrictions on the hours that contractors can work, essentially meaning work can take place at any hour of the day and during weekends.
We also noted the Latitude 50 website now made new enquirers aware of building work taking place next door and that bookings for the property were "blocked" out until the end of the year.
Further research also showed that, unlike other holiday companies, if you cancel your holiday 48 hours after the original booking you are responsible for paying for the total cost of the holiday, even though it's not until October and we've not yet paid the final balance.
We would never have booked Little Riggs if we had known building work was taking place next door so contacted Latitude 50 to see if we could transfer our booking to another of their properties. They advised the decision to transfer our deposit was up to the owners of Little Riggs so, we put forward our case and explained what we had discovered about the building works, how it was major work, which the agent agreed with, and how we would never have booked had we been aware at the time of booking. The agent advised she would contact the owners and come back to us.
Over a week later, and after chasing by us, we received a confused email from Latitude 50 which said the owners weren't prepared to release our deposit and would look at it again in August!
This, to us, is not at all understanding of the fact that this is our holiday that we've planned carefully and saved for, we're not asking to change our booking because we've found somewhere better but because Little Riggs is now not going to be as was advertised and sold to us; we are now very apprehensive and worried about going to a property which is not as it was advertised when we booked it. We would question how the owners and Latitude 50 would feel if they were in our position.
There are two types of holiday let owners, those that are only in it for the money and don't particularly care about people enjoying time in their property and those who go all out and try and make everything as they would expect when they go on holiday, unfortunately Little Riggs is the first type.
It looks like we're stuck with staying at a property that we don't want to go to and, in view of the policy of being responsible for the full cost of a holiday if you cancel 48 hours after booking, we wouldn't book with Latitude 50 again.

5 star rated house and service.

We booked Maleny based in Polzeath. The house is in the most brilliant location which meant for the whole week we didn't really need to get in the car! The views of Polzeath beach from the house were incredible, as were the sunsets. The house was spotless and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. It was perfect for 2 families - the bunk room was ideal and the hot tub was an added bonus:). All the children and adults who came for the week said it was one of the best holiday homes they had booked! Latitude 50 were by far the best company we booked through and when we did have a powercut on the Saturday, someone came out within the hour of us calling. 5 Star Service and House

Beautiful Dew

We arrived back home yesterday 18/07/2025 from a beautiful holiday in Port Isaac and beautiful Dew Apartment.What a lovely place.From open plan living to 2 beautiful bedrooms one on suite and family bathroom.Just my husband and I our first time in self catering.It won’t be our last.The views from this apartment were breath taking.We loved sitting out on our bench and table having dinner of an evening watching the sunsets.The kitchen had everything you could possibly need.We loved the Smeg appliances.Sitting on the corner settee looking out to sea was amazing also.A short walk into the picturesque village of Port Issac which is so beautiful very steep but good exercise.We would love to stay here again.Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at The Crispin


We had a wonderful stay at The Crispin in Rock during June/July 2025 with our two daughters, son-in-law, granddaughter, a family friend – and our two dogs! The location was absolutely perfect – peaceful yet close to everything Rock and north Cornwall has to offer.

The house was spacious, spotlessly clean, and extremely well equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday. There was plenty of room for everyone, and we especially loved the fantastic garden – a real highlight, perfect for relaxing and playing with our granddaughter and the dogs.

It’s a lovely property in a beautiful part of Cornwall, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. We’d love to return!

We have just returned home after a week


We have just returned home after a week staying at Polzeath. We chose Kerenza a ground floor apartment , it was exactly as described on the website , the arrival communication was excellent and easy to follow, the cleanliness van of the property was excellent and the welcome pack was very well received with Cornish goodies provided!
The view across the bay from the car park was just as described , the only downside to the property was there was no outside space to sit outside the property there was a grassed level but this was communal!
It was a 5 my Ute walk to the beach down hill but 20 mins back just beware it is very steep by either the roadway or the path from the apartment!
The apartment had everything we needed and more there were only 2!of us so the property was ample had there been 4 of us we may have struggled for storage space.
We walked the coast path to Rock stopping along the way at Daymar beach, the views were absolutely stunning.
We also visited Port Isaac and used the public transfer which was brilliant as we could enjoy fantastic food and drink and not having to worry about parking£5.00 return per person, or could purchase a all day ticket for £8.00 per person would definitely recommend!
Plenty of pubs, cafes and the service and quality excellent The Slipway Port Isaac, The waterfront Polzeath, Upper Deck Rock and the excellent Fish and chips at The Mariners Rock !
The communication from Latitude 50 has been excellent will definitely look to return!
