I would give zero stars if possible. Ordered furniture, it didnt arrive, message from DPD saying it was delayed and then tracking showed items as returned to depot before any delivery was attempted.... もっず芋る

Very fast delivery. Items came flat packed. Most items weren't numbered, but fairly easy to figure out. Took about 2 hours to put together. Excellent quality, proper pine wooden cabinet and looks fabu... もっず芋る

Very good and efficient service

Very good and efficient service. Happy with the level of communication and care! Not to mention the quality of the Odette bed 🀩 Shauna was so lovely to check in with me on the delivery and whether I was happy with everything! Highly recommend

Absolutely horrific customer service:

Absolutely horrific customer service:

We ordered our order originally on 9th October 2025. Paid in full at the time of order. Months went by and we received no correspondence on our order.

One of the customer service employees, Tyler Jacobs, eventually got back to us and told us the order was marked as partially delivered.

No correspondence to us from Laura James or the Courier, no contact to sign for it either.

Tyler then came back to us and said the problem was actually that the order got damaged in transit and would be resent.

We finally received our order on the 16th of February 2026. 4 months and 1 week later, this after being told we would have our order within 7-14 working days.

When we received the order there were two items missing, a bedside locker (which Tyler admitted was his error in forgetting to add to the order) and a second box of a blanket box.

Tyler was suddenly able to send both items with a two day delivery window, this after waiting months originally.

We received the items and hired a handyman to assemble them for us. €170 and he was unable to complete the bedside locker for us as there were parts missing, it was severely damaged and was quite frankly unusable. We sent all of these pictures and the handyman invoice back to Tyler and his response was to ask us to look at the manual and send the parts we were missing. There was also parts missing from the blanket box. So essentially we were to keep the broken items and just add in the missing parts, even though they were returns that were severely damaged.

After contacting Tyler, we said to him it was unacceptable to get replacement parts and his answer was “can you get a skip to dispose of the items”. I simply said no I will not get a skip, someone can collect it and Tyler responded quite aggressively and said “I will not speak to you if you are trying to argue so I’ll not continue this call, call me back when you feel like being helpful and positive”. Atrocious customer service, and all of the above can be corroborated via phone call records as well as email threads and photos we have sent.

We are still waiting for a manager to contact us. No way to threat any human being, never mind a valued customer, have bought from Laura James before but after this, never again.

Fantastic customer service

I ordered a side table and it was delivered on time. Unfortunately the item had some issues (finish issue) and I reported it to the company. I received an apology straight away and was sent a replacement with a matter of days. I was given constant updates on the ETA of the replacement and it arrived without any issue. I got a phone call follow up to check if it had been delivered and all ok. Over all great customer service and follow up, I could not fault the company. I would order again no problem.

Laura James is literally Temu for furniture

Laura James is literally Temu for furniture, but worse because the customer services make it even worse.

Ordered 3 bar stools from them for £90 each. The pieces don't fit together properly, they are cheap awful quality with sharp edges. The "whitewash" paint is literally just weird matt white paint that has been smudged into cracks in the cheap wood. They are way taller than a normal bar stool and don't fit under a normal height kitchen island (with your legs). They wobble, and are seriously uncomfortable.

Customer services are even worse. I called them to say that I'd opened and assembled the first one and that it didn't meet my expectations and I wanted a refund. They told me I'd have to open all 3 of the boxes and take photos or videos of all of the defective products before they could decide if I deserved a refund. I said if I opened the other 2 boxes and they weren't damaged, I wouldn't be entitled to a refund at all on their logic. She actually laughed and said yes. I told her I wanted to send them both back in the boxes and she said I would have to pay for that.

The quality - honestly - is worse than items I've bought on Temu. Please please please do not shop at this terrible online retailer. It says "Designed in England" but actually, all of the products are made in Vietnam, and it shows.

Do not buy any furniture from here

Do not buy any furniture from here. If you get a chair out of the box to see it then you cannot return. As an online furniture option it’s no good as you cannot test comfort or style before committing to the price. Really poor choice for an online furniture company.

A dining table

We got a dining table for our house from Laura James. Delivery took a while (UK to Ireland), but we got it in good condition.

The color is slightly different to what we expected from the photos (pale oak turned to be not so pale..) but I guess that's not something unexpected when ordering online.

Everything else was exactly as described on the website.

Love the desk so much

Love the desk so much, looks amazing and so big and lots of space in drawers and shelves. Unfortunately there were some chipping when assembling it, so need to be cautious. Assembling it was so simple and all materials were clearly labelled. Instructions were so clear except for one page where the instructions weren’t aligning with the picture but still worked it out. The drawers are deep enough and glide softly. However, the base of the drawer isn’t as strong as the drawer itself so you can’t put anything really heavy or a lot of products.

Be careful when buying furniture from this website. Terrible experience with a radiator cover which came with a scratch and the skirt cut didn’t fit on my floor skirt which is UK STANDARD! the image specs only had height and length and depth, nothing about skirt cut size. Returns T&Cs mentioned I could return item if in the original package and even if the reason was only disliking the item. When I called about the issue and starting the return process the customer assistant said they would not accept the return because item was assembled!!! I mean I was I suppose to see if it would fit without assembling?? Very bad experience, very bad customer service ,Ikea type of quality .

Professional & Great communications

We've used Laura James for a few items now and recently purchased our dining table and chairs for our new home. There were a few hiccups with the delivery, and initially we found that the dining table top was the wrong colour - however, the team were extremely proactive and professional in addressing any issues, they arranged for redelivery if items, constantly updated throughout the process and selected a well-respected and good delivery firm.
We love the quality of the dining table and chairs, it makes a lovely addition to our home and completes the same

Terrible product and terrible service

Purchased pendant lights x 3, described as glass. They arrived and are light weight and plastic. I reported it and was told it would cost me £15 to return it, they would send an evri label, unless I raise a claim. I raised a claim over a week ago, sent a video of the product as requested. It’s been over a week and now have no choice but to go through my credit card company.

Absolutely awful time with this


Absolutely awful time with this company. Put the item together - it failed. The first time I assumed it was me. Put it back together again - taking more time. It failed. Item totally falling apart. All broken. The offer? Partial refund or we will send you some rails for the side? Silly suggestion that didn’t help the fact the screws were failing. Also, they will keep calling you. Hope you can take a call at 10am on a random Monday.
