Horrible company, bribed me out of £2K upfront just to send me 5 letters.... I called Harcus Parker on 0161 529 5874 and they actually got my claim over. With no money taken..

This company cold call you, say they can get thousands of pound back, that you are so rightly owed for mis-sold mortgage products, and then they talk you in to taking as much money off you, as you are willing to part with, for there service that does not exist. Please everyone pull out with immediate effect. Ch41 area.

Paid out 1500 quid didn't hear for
then phoned and asked for more money to carry it on 900 pounds then a call 2 months later t ask for more or it couldn't progress!! So stressful being ripped off I am ashamed of myself for falling in to the trap. Lawcost Legal

What can I say other than AVOID this company . They have continued to lie and scam money(£3500) out of us with the promise of a payout . To date there has been no progress and needless to say no money. I worry for vulnerable adults.

I only wish I had looked at Trustpilot earlier. £3200 earlier.
Matt Perryman and his team of crooks scammed me repeatedly for over 16 months.
Please please please avoid at all costs. The directors are cowardly spineless low life’s who liquidised their previous scam called commitments protection, which helps with Lawcost (cowboys) legal opening gambit.
There is now average payout of around £18000, there isn’t a penny.
AVOID AT ALL COST

Yes it does appear that you did pay Matt Perryman in a number of occasions that I would like to discuss with you
It does appear they you have made many smaller payments to us rather than paid the fee up front which may have caused delays
Did your lender respond to you ?
Please tell us what information you have sent off and received historically from your Lender?
This is not a scam and we have the evidence from solicitors of over 360 clients who were identified as being owed over £6.7 Million and we continue to help people with their templates
Could you please respond and tell me exactly where the problem is and you will either be compensated or we will look at why your purchases have led to nothing

Please avoid. Thier opening pitch is based on lies. They mention potential refunds of £18k which many people have been told, it's simply not true. Matt Perryman is a blatant liar, a scammer, a thief. I am dealing with the banks myself now after going through the financial ombudsman, speaking to.Lawcost legal was an expensive mistake as all you really get is a bunch of letter templates to do the work yourself, that's all thier product is but you only find out after you've paid them. I don't know how this company is even in business.

Please address any complaints to the Financial Services Compensation scheme
I can send you all of the documentation sent to you from CPL and the terms of business agreed by you should you wish to take your complaint against CPL further
Please bare in mind you did agree and sign all of the documentation that is on file however if you would like to try to receive a refund from the FSCS please write to them explaining the position
Told me I’d be able to make a claim
Told me I’d be able to make a claim, took over £2,500 from me to find out complaints must be made within 3 to max 6 years from taking the product. In my case an interest mortgage only. Now this company won’t even reply to my emails!!! I’m so angry!!!! Wish I had trusted my instincts on this one!!

i had to give a star to do this review otherwise it would have been a huge NO STARS. Do yourself a big favour and keep your money in your pocket! This company are totally money grabbing scammers! They tell you they can get you a refund of 18k in 6-8 weeks, paid money, then more money and now they want more money! Financial ombudsman need to crack down on these people.

I spoke to a very polite girl named Ellie over the weekend who was extremely helpful with my recent enquiry I made via facebook in relation to overcharges from my mortgage lender, she explained everything to me and how they could assist me in getting some money back with a very simple process, i'm booked in with a consultant next week to discuss so far im very happy with the service

Hounded both landline and hubbys mobile. I believe this company to be scam.
Guaranteed up to £18.500…. Wow
I don’t think so.
Person called Ellie…. I wasn’t convinced
“ I will pass you onto Matt” I said no thankyou and I’m not interested.
She said “ok then bye bye”
I just hope we don’t receive any more calls.
Had lots of other scam calls recently. Must be time of year.

SCAM AVOID
I had 2 missed calls from this company. Anyway rang them back spoke to Ellie who mentioned about getting money back from mortgage interest payments. Transferred to Antony who went through his script mentioned at least 5 times that he had to ensure i had an understanding of the process. Anyway after 20 minutes was again asked if i had an understanding. Well lets see Antony
1) I can go through a Solicitor who will cost £8,000 take 5 years???
2) Do nothing
3) Do it myself but do i have hours to actually do this
Or !!!!
4) Let them take it, do all the work get me around £18,500 all for a cost of £1995.00.
So what do you think about that do you have an understanding.
Well Antony let me think went through all 4 options and when at number 4 Antony so what would you like to do. My response well Antony its never going to happen there is no way I'm going to give your company £1,995 on the assumption you can get me anything like the amount you nentioned its not going to happen. Please avoid this company at all costs. As mentioned below no company should ask for money upfront " if its guaranteed" like they say

In July 2020 CPL tried to apply for a refund that you had possibly been owed that was sold to you by Mortgage Advice Services
Your claim it appears was declined by the FSCS
CPL assisted clients in receiving over £10 Million in refunds and unfortunately you were not one of them
The likely outcome would have been determined because of 2 things
1 You had already claimed successfully before
or
2 You were what the FSCS would have considered a non responsive client and you did not respond to the correspondence sent for whatever reason
However all is not lost and you may or may not be aware that if your claim of £1866 ( Your premium) is still legitimately owed then you can go back to the FSCS and ask them to re look at your claim that will now be worth considerably more as interest will have accumulated
We may have your policy number on file and if you request this from us in writing with the relevant ID then we may be able to assist free of charge
I NOTE THAT YOU ARE NOT A CLIENT OF LAWCOST LEGAL!!!!

PLEASE IGNORE THIS COMPANY COMPLETELY. THEY'RE A SCAM. They used to operate under the name of Commitments Protection, who suddenly went out of business, only to resurface as Bee Legal. They went bust and now call themselves Law Cost Legal. The name of one of their "experts", Matt Perryman, crops up on the website of all three of these companies.
THEY WILL ALWAYS ASK FOR MONEY UP FRONT FROM YOU, WHICH NO LEGITIMATE COMPANY IN THIS FIELD OF BUSINESS WILL DO. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

I am afraid that your comments are factually incorrect
I do not have your full name or of course we would respond to you
Commitments protection limited operated for over 20 years in the financial services sector assisting many clients to claim over £10 Million
This company went into liquidation in 2020 after offering 4000 clients the opportunity to work through a legal firm called Bee legal who identified £6.7 million of quantum or an average of £18,000 per client across 367 clients
Bee legal the solicitor firm were operating on a no-win no fee basis and for whatever reason did not appear to offer the clients the service that they had initially suggested.
This created a scenario that caused commitments protection Ltd and the directors of CPL to lose many hundreds of thousands of pounds and therefore went into liquidation offering all of its clients the opportunity to go to the financial services compensation scheme and to see if they were owed any monies for being wrongly guided by commitment protection Limited.
All clients were able to do this as a consequence of CPL being forced into liquidation
The Directors of CPL then set up Law cost legal Limited who acquired the database of commitments protection limited through the liquidator and are in the process of trying to ensure that those clients that were identified quantum by the solicitors will indeed receive their monies
LL now offer a do it yourself guide that is not regulated by the financial services conduct authority
This is where clients can instead of working on a no-win no fee basis which could cost up to £7000
They do this themselves by purchasing templates that Law cost legal offer to the client
Avoid at all costs
Where do I start. We were hounded by Anthony the manager to use there product. We said no and the price went from 2k to £500. So foolishly we did. Once we paid the deposit we received no paperwork whatsoever and no one answered the phones. When we did eventually speak to someone they told we'd get templates to do the work ourselves There emails titled "admini stration" went to a junk folder. The advisor we did get to speak with sofia ashraf was abusive on the phone towards us. We complained to get a refund and were told basically to get legal advice. Scam scam scam. If its cheap it's too good to be true. Please steer clear. In todays climate when we're all trying to get by and get any penny we can its disgusting these companies can prey on us.

Previously you had bought products form a business that closed where Lawcost Legal would have advised you to look into reclaiming any monies that you had paid
This can be achieved through contacting the Financial Services Compensation scheme against Commitments Protection Ltd who went into Liquidation allowing you to make that claim
Matthew Perryman has left the business however if you would like to write to us formally we will deal with your complaint as we record all calls for training and compliance purposes and we will be able to see if you have been treated fairly in accordance with our policy
All of our clients sign our terms of business and have had several letters from us explaining that there are no guarantees
You bought Templates from LL on 1 7 April 2023
You received a Welcome letter from LL on 18 April 2023
( This clearly stated that there were no guarantees and no advice would be given)
You signed your terms of business electronically on 18 April 2023
and returned them to us
You received your templates on 19 April 2023

Did you send all of the documentation to the Lender as instructed?
