Love Letterboxd! Best for movie lovers. Met friends through it, got so many great recommendations, etc. If you find the right people, you can have so much fun on this app

amazing website! people who think this site sent them a scam email are actual idiots who have got this down to 2.5 stars, can you not understand that it was a scam company pretending to be letterboxd? this is a mistake my grandmother would make, if amazon sends you a scam email then everyone knows it's someone pretending to be amazon, so what's different about letterboxd? actual idiots, trustpilot should really consider taking down these reviews

you people are goddamn stupid this website is great...

really great way to review but also catalogue what I have seen and build a profile for future watching. My only suggestion would be to be able to change the text from white to a colour that is not as bright for dark mode.

This website is truly worthless when it comes to any kind of film critique or analysis. Just a bunch of 20 something upper middle class WASP women who dropped out of film school and spend their days drinking pumpkin spice latte and posting half assed unfunny joke reviews for their loser friends.

It's like the worst parts of Tumblr got thrown into the worst part of IMDB in a blender. The fact the site doesn't let you review tv shows is also a big minus. Avoid like the plague if you want any meaningful, good faith critique or analysis of cinema.

Totally wrecked on iPhones

Crazy since the majority of smartphone users probably own an iPhone still Letterboxd is a complete train wreck on IOS
Can’t take that seriously on any level

This app gives everyone a real sense of social film discovery, it’s like showing off how cool your taste in movies is. I like the simplicity of the app: just no fluff, nothing useless, just really user‑friendly. There are even fewer ads, so I don’t feel the need to get premium. Some people do, though, and they get cool features like changing the poster of their favorite movie. Just a cool, simple concept for an app. Love it.

The customer service is not helpful, jerks. I don't recommend this website to anyone.

most of reviews are fake or useless one liners. they should never people reviewing a film before even released.

It's the best option for movie lovers, great for keeping track of your watchlists, checking ratings, and finding stuff to watch. The reason why it doesn't get 5 stars is that the interface is a little bit unintuitive for new users, and the community can be a bit annoying. Other than that, highly recommended.

While trying not to be too rude, I have to raise my concern of the intelligens of the people on Trustpilot who give Letterboxd a poor review based on scam e-mails. Do people not realise, that when they get a scam e-mail, requesting money, that this e-mail is not coming from Letterboxd? Would you hate your grandmother, if somebody was pretending to be her? No, you would hate the pretender.

Letterboxd is a brilliant, intuitive film social media and database, that allows you to easily keep track of your friends and your own film watching activity. From lists, to reviews, to filters helping you find movies you have watched or you want to watch. Letterboxd is brilliant.

Would love to see more features in the next months

This organisation is a scam. Please avoid them. They will contact you on WhatsApp about a part time job. No, it’s not a job but a scam to take your hard earned money. Be warned!!!!!

I received a Whatsapp message of all things from some lady promising me money to write reviews..i thought it was a scam obvs but asked a few questions and she was very vague but this website was mentioned in the convo.

I used to love this site. It was a fun place to post on and review films - And then the IMDB messageboards closed and all the trolling w*nkers came over and started doing exactly the same thing on here. Endless pretense and self righteousness sink this site into oblivion.

I mostly use it to keep a list of movies I've seen and movies I plan to see. In this respect, it has features that IMDB does not have. I also find the ratings more realistic than IMDB, at least closer to my taste. You can also find very different movie lists.

addicted to this website atm, the best film community. they could add tv shows in the next years, it would be great and could explore more functionalities but it's fine as it is tbh.
