I did my work experience here, at Level Up. It was an amazing experience, not only witnessing these expert personal trainers working with real clients of theirs, but also them explaining the different impacts that certain exercises have on people who they have made able to do activities that they were incapable of doing for example, (bending knee, straighten spine, etc). Not only did I take notes while they were training clients, but they also planned out specific workouts for me based on what I wanted to work on for example,(hypertrophy-muscle building, fat loss, etc); they took me for park sessions (for sprinting/ running/ acceleration and deceleration); I got to see a professional massage and even experienced one for greater understanding; I sat in a consultation meeting for a new client, to note down what questions Luke asked about daily nutrition, lifestyle, and even explaining in depth and physically demonstrating his points; they taught me so much about how they became who they are now, school, life in general, and how to properly treat clients whether they are new, or have been going for a long time; plus so much more! Throughout the whole experience, they constantly checked to see if I understood their explanations by asking, "any questions?" Or "do you understand?" Which helps immensely because they encourage all questions and always say, "there's no such thing as a dumb question". Personally, I was a bit shy on my first day, but I immediately grew comfortable and bonded really well with Luke, Darryl and Will because they always engage with me; they are funny, yet stay professional; and they don't 'baby me', meaning that they talk to me as they would, any other adult. They are all round amazing people and have taught me so much knowledge and terminology since I've started. I am now going to become a client and I HIGHLY recommend Level up!
