have a LiftMaster gate and something went wrong with it while still on warrantee and it has now been 8 weeks and it is still not functioning... Unacceptable !!! The gate is only 3 1/2 years old...

I ordered a LiftMaster Gateway from their website. They take a 10 days to ship in-stock items, plus 5 days transit time. Pure inefficiency. I can't even imagine how this company would deal with more complex support issues. It just takes one minute to grab a small box and stick a shipping label on it. Come on, guys, it's not rocket science.
UPDATE: After 15 days still waiting for the Gateway. Terrible experience

LiftMaster web cite to purchase recommended the wrong replacement batteries. Returned batteries, waited a month for refund before calling customer service. Customer service was unhelpful and unsympathetic. I requested a supervisor which took 3 request to reach. The supervisor, Dianne, not a women, took unsympathetic to a new level. He was uncaring and advised me they followed their proper procedure and did nothing wrong. If LiftMasters goal is to lose customers Dianne is right. The entire experience cost me $30.40 to ship/return the wrong part they sent. I will no longer be doing business with LiftMaster or Chamberlain as they have no integrity or concern for their dwindling customer base.

TERRIBLE COMPANY TO DEAL WITH! Bought a brake tester off them, remote not working . They have been promising for almost a year to provide a replacement, they constantly lie! Just been told that they will not provide me with one, although they advised me 2 weeks ago that its in the post - this came from a manager! The girls on receptions are as bad... love to name and shame them!! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST!

New lift master garage door opener does not work on older cars with homelink. Have to buy another device for $60. The installer brought the repeater today did not work said I have no idea and gave me a phone number and left with zero solution. I called liftmaster and was told after 40 minutes on the phone telling me how to sync the opener that I had the wrong repeater. Now I said I followed the directions step by step and the so called expert could not get it to work. Should have asked from the beginning what model repeater I had. If I knew from the beginning that this was going to be 3 service calls and hours of my time I would have purchased another brand. Why could liftmaster not spend the extra couple of bucks to put the proper chip in the opener to work on older cars. But they had to waste money on a phone app I will never use. Product was a disappointment and the installer was not very familiar or informed about the product. After the 1st service call to install the opener, I knew more than the company. I am still waiting for the correct repeater and if this does not work the company can take back the opener and I will find another solution that actually works. Also liftmasters customer service voice response unit is awful because I wanted to speak to a person but had to listen to the installation instructions which I had tried many times just to finally speak with someone who again wasted me time trying to make the wrong device work.

Liftmaster Model 81600 MC. Upgrading my review to 3 stars from 1 star while I wait to see if the replacement unit addresses the original problem.

The original issue:

This model was plagued with sporadic episodes of failing to close when pressing the wall mounted wired button. It did not happen on an open request nor did there appear to be any issue with the safety light beams since the door closes without fail when using a remote (non-wired) control. Replacement of the wall button, logic board and wire connecting the button and board did not address the problem. At least two neighbors in my new housing development are experiencing the same problem with this model. It was difficult to receive callbacks on this issue. However, once I made it past the first tier of support and actually spoke to a supervisor, we agreed we had done all we could to address the issue aside from replacing the unit. Next step which Liftmaster is assisting me with is the shipment of a replacement unit. Likely I will have to install it myself but I’m willing to do that. The supervisor was great at reducing my frustration level which had built up due to no return calls, no solution, etc. Thanks go to “Carlos”.

i hade a class 7 brake rollers installed and calibration Contrack done by this company .afther 4 and half years both gearbox's shit them self contacted lift master no reply ant the moment check no oil in the gearbox's all the bearings have gone not available any more .very poor service will not use them again. i believe that the oil was never checked by the in the calibration .

Spent 32 minutes on the phone with customer / tech support for help locating my battery on my LiftMaster Elite Serries. The person could not even help me find the battery and knew absolutely nothing about the garage door opener. I even emailed the labels off my garage door opener to the tech and he still could not help me. I hung up and then called back to get another person who spent 20 minutes with me on the phone and this person could not help me with locating my battery either. I do not know why these people are working in the customer /tech support when they cannot help with anything on my LiftMaster garage door opener. I do hope that someone from the company reads this email so that they know that the two customer/tech support people I spoke with knew nothing about the product to help the customer.

Nigel and victor were very helpful and polite today. They done the job to perfection and showed us how to operate the machine verbally and manually. They were the best we can receive in my opinion

Liftmaster is the most overrated opener on the market and one of the most expensive. Too many technical problems and no tech support for the customer, they want you to call a dealer and that costs more money, even a dealer told me they were going to quit selling Liftmaster because of all the technical problems. Mighty Mule is much cheaper but much more dependable.

After my original order was lost in shipment Liftmaster customer support replaced the order quickly... AND when it was discovered that the wrong item was ordered they replaced it with the correct opener. You have to press to get help but when you reach the person who can and will help, they step up with excellent customer service

It never delivers. Keeps tracking it would deliver the next day. Take your money and deliver nothing.

The worst customer service. I purchased 2 garage door openers and decided I didn’t need them. I have called 3 times and no one helps me. First to
E got misinformation. 2nd time I called the person told me she couldn’t send me label because her computer wasn’t working but would send later. Never received it. 3rd call I held on for 20 min while associate said he would get right back to me. He had my phone number and never called back. This is not an expensive item but would like to return and the return wi Dow is almost up.

the gerage door opener belt suppose to have a lfe time warranty.I just ordered 4 belt because one is broken and the other one in very bad shape and they charge 900 $ for it.fake warranty

The opener now only works through my phone. I had a liftmaster for 15 years. Came with 2 car units and an external keypad entry on my house. The new one only works through a phone app called myQ which does not work at all on either my wife's or my Apple phones. Liftmaster support was zero help and told me I needed a different phone to make it work. And when I asked why we received no in car opening units, I was told I can buy them. It's a scam. Do not use Liftmaster.

Seniors...Don't Buy from Liftmaster Garage Door Opener. All other products... let you update WiFi from the app. No So with Liftmaster. You have get on a ladder and go through a process while on the ladder. Not Senior Friendly!!!!!!

No interface with Alexa or Google. Unless to me.

This company cares more about profit more than anything else. Trust me, I work for a distributor that sells these products and we only sell them because people ask for it. They are bottom tier across the board. They have damaged the gate operator market.

Ordered a new button for my opener on the phone. They gave me a discount, and it was shipped via UPS "Mail Innovations". This means that UPS ships it the first part of the trip, and then it's handed over to the USPS, who holds up delivery indefinitely. In this case, an item shipped the majority of the way in 2 days, and has purportedly sat in Orlando, FL, for 9 days. I finally got ahold of the customer service people for Liftmaster, and was told I could drive to Orlando to pick it up. Rightttt, I'm going to drive 80 miles because they can't deliver it properly? The gal on the phone spoke broken English. She did not know how to help. Expecting me to drive across the state to pick up my package, because they wouldn't send it direct via UPS.

Update: They finally sent me a new button, and it works great. But their customer service department still need an overhaul.

I purchased the liftmaster 8500w and it is absolute garbage. The door bounces back constantly. You cannot drive away until you are sure the door will remain close. There is no way to manually adjust the sensitivity and forget about technical support. The opener is so bad that my wife and I must coordinate to get our vehicles in and out of the garage because we aren’t sure when and if the door opener will perform as it should. If you want to avoid aggravation stay away from this garbage door opener.
