First contact with Bryony and I got more of a response (in a positive way) than I was expecting. She clearly has a passion and deep understanding of the fishy underworld and was able to quickly identify the issue with my Koi. Super impressed and will certainly be putting the number in my phone for the future. A BIG THANK YOU 🙏🏻

It was Louise who came this time.
She was very quick and efficient.
Two huge Golden Orfe were calmed in a big bucket with some anaesthetic in to have a scrape and nothing bad was found under the microscope.
Same with a goldfish.
I’m so pleased all the fish are healthy after lots of deaths last year when Bryony diagnosed multiple skin diseases which after treatments recovered quite quickly.

Bryony was super amazing with my two boys ( 2x Goldfish). She gave so much advice and thoroughly checked over the fish health. She put my mind and heart at ease. I was really worried about them. We recently had a telephone consultation with Dr. Bryony concerning one of our Ryukin goldfish that was suffering from digestive/swim bladder problems and had been swimming upside down for nearly two weeks. She is highly knowledgeable and gave us some excellent advice concerning an appropriate treatment and diet for the Ryukin. We covered a lot of ground within the 30 minute consultation. We are very pleased we have found an excellent fish vet and would highly recommend her.

This is Bryony’s second trip to us to help with a procedure for our much loved fish.

We have a large koi pond and we noticed that one of the fish was showing distress.
My late husband used to take care of the pond and I never really took any interest.
Over a week the pond became murky and the fish were not happy

Gave us some pointers on what to do and what not to, most importantly do not over feed the fish because it kills them

I was so pleased to finally talk to a fish expert to get some help for one of my pond goldfish who has been vulnerable and sick off and on for 18 months with a swim bladder/digestive condition. Bryony was extremely helpful and gave me a course of action to help the fish including a change of food (which will benefit the other fish). When it seemed like the fish wasn’t improving I contacted Bryony and again she was very helpful and advised a slight change of tack. The fish is now calm (not gasping for oxygen anymore) and stable, so I am very hopeful for her recovery. I liked that I could have a phone conversation and being able to send photos and videos in advance meant the call was very efficient and we easily covered everything in the 30 minutes. Excellent value for money and Bryony knows her stuff … highly recommend.

Bryony arrived fully kitted with high tech equipment, ran initial tank checks along with the fish health check. Very informative session and clear plan of action for helping the fish get better. Couldn't recommend her more!

Dr Bryony is very knowledgeable about koi and every visit to my 10000 gallon pond to check over my fish I learn more about the subject , she always explains all procedures and treatments in advance detailing any options but recommends the best one in her opinion.
I would definitely be confident to give her name to any koi keepers as a first class Aquatic vet . I have some beautiful koi and would not trust anyone else !

I can't recommend Bryony more highly. I inherited several outdoor goldfish from my mother, and they've been living very happily in our small outdoor pond for over a decade. When one of them became bloated and clearly unwell, I didn't know what to do - I didn't think I could take the fish to our regular vet. I found London Aquatic Veterinary Services online and really had no idea what to expect or whether it would be worth spending £125 on a home visit, but it really was. Bryony diagnosed the fish with advanced polycystic kidney disease and recommended euthanising it, which she was able to do in a very humane way. Although I was sad about the fish's death, I was very relieved that it didn't have a contagious illness and Bryony reassured me that our other fish are all in good health. She was able to scientifically test the quality of the pond water and reassure me that it's fine. She has also recommended better fish food. I feel a great sense of relief and am also really glad that I have someone I can contact if I have any concerns about our fish in the future.

I was absolutely blown away by how amazing Bryony is! She came to my house to remove a mass that was growing quite fast on my goldfishs head. It was near to his eye and I was so worried it would be a big deal but Bryony immediately put me at ease. She is so knowledgeable and I thought I might be a bit annoying asking so many questions but she didn’t mind at all. It is not everyday that you meet a fish vet so there were a lot of things to ask! The whole experience was fascinating. Bryony talked me through what she would be doing and was very thorough explaining it all. The operation was successful and my darling fishy is recovering extremely well I’m pleased to say! I am SO grateful that I found LAVS. What a wonderful and caring vet Bryony is and such a nice person as well. Can’t thank you enough Bryony! And I recommend your services 100%!

I will just give you a quick back story . Lost 10 fish this spring.September 2021 two thirds of a litre masonry paint in pond. All pumps and K1+ lost. At that time no fish losses due to removing them from problem. Spring 2022 10 fish lost as a result of paint problem spring rise and we think an imbalance of the bacteria in water. Causing long red lesions from rubbing, very angry and soar. Dr Bryony to the rescue. The professional detailed questions and knowledge plus experience that Dr Bryony has at her finger tips has saved the other 26 fish even the most badly affected ones. We are not completely in the clear yet but well on the way. I can not thank Bryony enough for her high level of knowledge and kindness to me, something that is not easy to find when keeping Koi. Top class fish vets do Not grow on trees. Thank you so much Bryony from the bottom of my heart I was desperate and you stepped up. Plus a big thank you from the 26 fish I didn't manage to wipe out. Bryony was extremely responsive and helpful in a telephone consultation regarding our goldfish. She also answered emails quickly and was understanding and thoughtful about the fish. We would highly recommend her.

Bryony came to see our sick koi she was very professional and knowledgeable. I couldn’t recommend her more, she understood how much the fish meant to us. She answered all of our questions and prepped us fully with everything that was going to happen. If we have any fish or pond problems in the future we will definitely contact her again.

Bryony visited me today to deal with a koi with a small lesion on its side. She was very friendly and answered loads of my questions.

She explained clearly in advance what she was going to do and then set about things in a very professional manner.

She scraped a number of fish and discovered flukes for which she left me medication.

The water was tested and I was also left with some friendly bacteria for the pond itself.

I intend to have Bryony visit in future just before winter and in the spring, for preventative maintenance.

Visiting my pond saves the grief of me putting my fish in a bag and taking to a vet, which is what I have done in the past.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Bryony.

I had many koi with very bad ulcers and other bacterial infections which Dr Bryony treated with antibiotics the treatment was successful and all my fish have fully recovered I highly recommend Dr Bryony if you have any problems with koi.

Dr Bryony did an amazing mass removal on my goldfish. The procedure was scary but she handled it like a pro and was very carrying on her approach to the owner and the fish.
No side effects, fish is happy and swiming again.
Would denfinetly recommend her, she is an amazing fish Wet.
