Is anyone able to advise if this company is still trading? Unable to get in contact with anyone there, despite last week them accepting a large amount of my jewellery for sale!

Thieves.
Took my gold as well but never sent payment. They ignore emails and calls, taking them to a small court. Don’t send them your gold or jewellery!

There was a significant price spike the following day, up by a few thousand per kg, so a price difference was inevitable. It's also worth noting that no one in Hatton Garden was willing to accept your gold at 18K — perhaps that's just a coincidence.
Selling gold
I sold some old jewllery with them. They honoured the price as pulished online. Super quick testing and exchange. Friendly service too. Highly recommended.

No such thing as 18ct gold!
They don't know the difference between Carat and Karat. Carat for Gemology, Karat for goldd purity. There live calculator says 18ct! No such thing! It's 18K for gold! Very unprofessional and inaccurate which is concerning for a gold dealership.

I see you have take the time to wite a review here as well as google since we decided not to pay you. I am pasting the reply I wrote on google below:
You did not come to our shop nor did you sell anything to us. Instead you called us and demanded we pay you not to leave a review, which is extortion and also a bit against the law i believe. We use certain terms on our website due to search engine algorithms which I believe I don’t need to explain to you how the internet works. There are other companies following the same and it’s due to the same reason we are. I am sure you are trying to extort money from other online dealer too. Best of Luck
An easy straightforward transaction
An easy straightforward transaction by post, selling a gold chain, payment was made on the day they received it, a few £s less than the estimate but as my weighing scales were only domestic, unsurprising!
Would use again. Thanks.

Excellent experience
Excellent experience. Easy instructions for a first time seller. Received a valuation the day the items arrived which was virtually as estimated. Just had to approve it and the money was in my bank account the next day.
I will certainly be using the London Gold Centre again.
Thank you.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback.
We did not have any walk-in customers for gold bar purchases today, so it’s possible there may have been some confusion regarding the location or company.
All of our prices are clearly listed online in multiple currencies, and full order details are automatically provided by email once a purchase is made:
https://shop.londongoldcentre.co.uk/buy-gold-bars-uk/
We’re sorry to hear that your experience felt unfriendly, as that is not the standard we aim to provide. Even during busy periods, we always do our best to assist customers and answer any questions as clearly as possible.
If you’d like to discuss your experience further, please feel free to reach out—we’d be happy to help.
Best regards,
Definitely recommend
