Absolutely awful company.

Misleading website, that was totally broken for Harry Potter. I tried to book two seats. It says each ticket for 2p and 7p was 70£, when I booked it turns out it was 70 for each show. So £140 total.

I immediately called to cancel since I have two people. They said absolutely not.

I tried to work with them. Could we at least get two tickets to the same
Show that were cheaper. They said no. Has to be same ticket class or higher

Could we book a different show. They said no.

Basically their website was confusing and misleading and they would rather a seat sit empty. Totally greedy and not customer friendly for no reason

As per other comments - this site implies it is a 'direct' theatre booking, and indeed that it may offer various "savings, offers and best price guarantees." It is certainly not obvious there are such huge markups, often in the range of 20%+ from actually booking direct with the theatres' own box offices and websites.

They may argue they are assisting promotion, but the names of the plays and musicals generally does that self-promotion - so I would argue they are simply hurting the industry through greed. They're dominating search results with the incorrect claim they are direct and competitively priced, rather than their true position as a high-markup ticket agent.

A answer to their reply - I gave the tickets to a friend so I stopped applying for exchange but realized I had never received tickets - when I contacted ltd I wastold I would get my tickets from nemax the theatre owner - I contacted them & it was on oversight & the sent me the paper to present at the box office. Then my friend came down with covid & cancelled her trip so I went to the they’re who now had the tickets & was told since I bought them from ltd I had to go to them - I did send an email but never heard back & totally discussed I jut figured it just wasn’t worth it anymore - too much time has past

Wanted to book tickets for abba voyage. London theatre direct came up first on a search and its name suggests you are booking direct.
This is not the case. In fact they are a third party seller and significantly inflate ticket prices over the price that the venue charges. I unwittingly ended up paying £29 per ticket more because I didn’t realise my mistake until I went to find directions to the venue.
Despite me emailing them within a few hours of booking they have refused to give me a full or partial refund and I am stuck £87 out of pocket.
To add insult they have offered me £15 off my next purchase - so if I buy another ticket it will only be inflated by £14 after my voucher.
Be warned - check the official site for your tickets and buy from there. London theatre direct prices are significantly inflated.

I recently purchased tickets to Evita in London through londondirect.co.uk, and I was shocked to discover I’d been charged 25% more than the face value of the tickets — a markup I would never have accepted had it been clearly disclosed.

After comparing my ticket with the official theatre box office, I realized I could’ve paid significantly less by booking directly. I contacted their customer service to request a refund or partial refund for the markup, but was told that all sales are final and that the inflated pricing is just “how the site works.” No apology, no goodwill gesture — just a brick wall.

This company is not affiliated with the theatre and deliberately trades on a misleading name and design that implies legitimacy. There’s no transparency about pricing until after you pay, and their refund policy protects them, not customers.

If you’re booking theatre tickets in London — DO NOT use londondirect.co.uk. Always go directly to the theatre’s official site or a trusted reseller like TodayTix or Official London Theatre.

This site profits from confusion, overcharges customers, and refuses to make things right. Don’t fall into the same trap I did.

Totally agree with everyone’s reviews here, sadly I also ended up paying a lot more for a show than if I’d booked directly with the theatre. Unfortunately I was unwell at the time so not thinking clearly, however I realised within minutes & emailed asking if anything could be done - I just got the standard reply I’ve seen on social media that they ‘are not a theatre’ etc!

May I recommend people add their reviews to the main Theatre direct page on trust pilot - that is the one they look at & it has over 10,000 reviews whereas this one only has 11.

Scammers. They put up the ticket prices, just buy from the theatre direct

The tickets are way more expensive than buying directly at the musical homepage.
I saw there were 4 tickets available for Abba Voyage. Then i started browsing if they are good and when i came back found that two were gone. I panicked and bought the two remaining tickets. 91 pounds. After that i checked the musical website and saw there were a lot of tickets available. And the one i just bought was 77 instead of 91. I am robbed of 28 pounds for nothing extra!!

Just some weeks earlier i was checking for tickets to the lion king. I saved some 40 pounds by not buying via this page. Totally forgot about that. Really frustrated about this.

Avoid buying from this company - always buy your tickets directly from the theatre. Be careful as when you search on your desired show and theatre on Google, this company will invariably pop up as the first search result, before the official page of the production you searched on. They will then proceed to charge you an additional 25% of the ticket price on top. I unwittingly paid £77 for a £59 ticket. Customer service was very unhelpful, verging on rude. If I had a way to block this website to never be tricked into buying from them again, I would, but given the profit they are making from their unwitting customers, they will probably continue to be able to pay for their preferential position in search results.

DO NOT buy vouchers from this company.

They are very unhelpful with inquiry’s and concerns. I was given vouchers as a gift last Christmas and told to use them within a year before this coming Christmas. Unfortunately, when I went to use them I found out they actually expired 6 days ago. I am assuming this has been a miscommunication between the gift giver and myself however, this company has nobody to discuss this with.

I have emailed and received a flat No, there is nothing that can be done. There is no understanding and they have not been able to provide me with someone to discuss this further.
It is such disappointing and disheartening customer service.

Do NOT buy vouchers from them.

Jeg var så uheldig, at mit fly til London blev forsinket og jeg havde et 24 timers layover i Amsterdam. Det betød, at jeg missede den forestilling, som jeg havde booket.
Sendte hurtigt en Exchange request, og spurgte om jeg kunne få billetterne byttet til den efterfølgende dag.
Intet problem, jeg modtog en voucher på beløbet og kunne gå ind og booke nye billetter.
Nemt - og god service!

When I attended the London show of Grease, it was a decent experience, but it lacked the usual elements of singing, dancing, and talking that one would expect. This unconventional setup didn't quite live up to the expectations, especially considering the iconic tunes. I'm not entirely convinced that I would eagerly return for another visit.

Hmmm what can I say went to see Grease in London show was good but no singing, no dancing, no talking not the normal set up for a great time especially with the iconic tunes not sure I’d rush back.

Just phoned this Company & spoken to them as some friends of ours bought Vouchers for us as a present to buy Theatre tickets which we now cannot use apparently as we are 14 days over the 12 months that the Vouchers are valid for. I explained that I received a terminal diagnosis for Cancer 2 months after receiving the vouchers as a gift from our friends and have been unable to use them due to a very punishing chemotherapy regime.
I now though feel well enough to get out and about and so phoned and explained this to them and asked if I might be allowed to buy tickets under the circumstances. Apparently it’s just a blanket NO. They did say I could write in, but basically it’s a NO. So they have our friends money which they now keep apparently. So be warned - this Company clearly is lacking in some very basic ethical values and the operator admitted to me that they do just keep the money if people don’t redeem in time, whatever the circumstances. I’m shocked and will be taking this further as whilst it might prove to be legally allowable it’s ethically disgraceful.

My experience with London Theatre Direct has been great from start to finish. They were quick to produce vouchers for a show that was cancelled in 2020 due to Covid. Then the next show we used these vouchers for was cancelled during the interval due to technical difficulties. They issued new vouchers the next day, without me having to request them. I then made a mistake with the next time I used the vouchers and they reissued them a gesture of goodwill. I was worried about the vouchers at multiple points in this process and really appreciate what a fantastic service they've provided.

I got an email letting me know about an offer that I didn't want to miss. I booked tickets, but forgot I had a family function that day. Customer service team were efficient and friendly and I was able to change the date. Admin fee was reasonable considering I booked the wrong date. Looking forward to it!
