We had a couple of issues at collection which Jamie sorted out for us efficiently.

Even when our van was delayed slightly Jamie sorted us a loan van on a couple of occasions so we didn’t miss our wkend breaks . Great communication through the whole process . Bought an airstream caravan with the view to living in it after selling a house. 6 months ago. Arrived with switch faulty which controls 3 sockets. This was bypassed and since it just takes the rcd out. On the main supply. At the landlord property this was dismissed as just my problem after countless complaints they eventually come down and collected the van. It was tested and returned to me yet the 3 circuits was still disconnected. Again and obviously still tripping the rcd. After numerous complaints they eventually came down and found a burnt out wire and assumed this was the issue and still not reconnected the circuits. Yet again the van stil trips I have had this van 6 months and still cannot live in it as intended. The landlord is so fed up he will no longer allow me to connect to an electric supply so in fact making me homeless. Absolutely upset is not the word. Here. And my only option is to get solicitors involved.

What a superb company! Review for the Nottingham branch: Kevin Holmes was the sales representative that truly made us feel that we were the only customers that mattered to him. He was always at the end of the phone when we had any questions (and there were many) and ensured that our experience in buying our new motorhome was smooth and pleasurable. The Lowdhams showroom in Nottingham is stylish and has a lovely leisurely feel with plenty of varied stock to view. The café is a lovely addition and the large shop is well stocked with popular brands. We found all of the staff so helpful and professional; the ladies on the switchboard remembered our names and the shop staff couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Kevin continues to look after us, phoning us the day after handover to make sure we got home safely as well as rapidly answering our queries on every subject from buttons we don't know to system controls. We highly recommend Lowdhams Nottingham and would give them 10 stars if we could with an additional 20 stars going to Kevin Holmes!

Fantastic experience with Jamie at Lowdham’s from ordering the camper-van last October to delivery and handover on Friday. Jamie stayed in regular contact and delivered what was promised.
Jamie is extremely helpful and his professionalism shines, he is a credit to Lowdhams.

APPALLING, please read on before handing over your 💷. Appalling customer service and technician service department. This monster of a caravan sales retailer has grown way too large over the years, despite all the warning signs. They may tie you into a 10 year Warranty on a new caravan, this means you will be forced to return (for the next 10 years), to their “frankly useless” and rip-off service team, and pay premium earnings for the privilege of their second rate service. In my opinion, they routinely DO NOT CHECK FOR DAMP in a professional manner, as you already bought the van, and it doesn’t belong to them….SO THEY DO NOT CARE. My advice to the greedy Lowdhams Management….is simply this, sell less caravans, expensive motor homes, and premium caravans, and invest heavily in proper, professional, trustworthy, competent, and HONEST service, maintenance and repair. To conclude, my opinion based on 15 years experience of (I know…tied into their Warranties….😢, is that Lowdhams are indeed a highly successful “Leisure” retailer at the ENTIRE expense of the worst customer service you will be ever likely to experience….sorry if this message has been read too late….Lowdhams….think on your sins.

We have just purchased our new Chausson motorhome and are so pleased with the whole experience. Adam looked after us from the start and made sure that every question we had was answered. The facilities at the company are second to none with really welcoming decor and really happy members of staff. We were able to stay in the rally field to try out our motorhome for a night to ensure that we knew how to use everything and the cafe they have onsite was open at 8:30 so we had a very tasty breakfast before leaving. I would very much recommend Lowdhams to everybody. A super company to purchase your motorhome or campervan from.

We had our first experience of swopping our caravan with Lowdhams and it was a really good experience from start to finish. Kirkby looked after us, explained our new caravan workings and answered our questions knowledgeably.

We sold our motorhome and bought our caravan at the same time at Lowdhams , the process was very easy , due to the lovely people we dealt with . When it came to the handover of the caravan we were very lucky to have "Brian Johnson" who was absolutely amazing in showing us everything and explaining all the details in hooking up and how to connect to the towbar and disconnect, plus the electrics and how it all worked inside the caravan too . Bryan also kindly let us video him while he was doing all this , so we could look and refresh anything we forgot as caravan newbies . We also got to stay on their rally field for 2 nights so we could get used to things and practice anything we wanted to. Lowdhams in general and Bryan in particular were excellent.

Lowdhams were understanding when we had to replace our previous motorhome due to unforeseen circumstances.
The change over was stressfull but certain sales staff made it possible.
Was a bit disappointed with the handover as the qualified staff wasn't available and it was left to our amazing salesman Chris. Who did the best job he could, although he didn't know everything.
There were lots of extras that weren't explained correctly and we had to research when we got home. Hopefully we understand most of it now!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was disappointing enough to share.

I called Lowdham Nottingham today regarding a brand new Swift caravan. I explained upfront that I was calling from out of town, as our local dealer has poor reviews, and I told the gentleman exactly what we were looking for.

To be honest, he didn’t seem particularly interested. I asked for some finance figures — he did call me back, but the numbers didn’t match what was shown on the online calculator. That wasn’t a huge issue, but as I was driving, I asked if he could email the details over.

He simply said “no.” When I asked again, explaining I was driving and potentially looking to do a deal that day, he reluctantly took my email address, as if it was a chore. Unfortunately, the email never came.

We ended up contacting another dealer, got an appointment the same day, drove an hour, and had a completely different experience — helpful, polite, and professional. We secured a better deal, signed the finance, and have delivery booked for 12th May.

It’s a shame, as I contacted Lowdham based on their reputation, but this experience didn’t reflect that at all. Perhaps it was just a bad day, but first impressions count — especially when you’re ready to buy.

Their sales team are excellent. I purchased a brand new sunlight cliff 540rt off them last september. A 75 plate.
Within weeks it had a faulty roof latch.
8 months later after awful customer care from Lowdhams i managed to source a local dealer that would undertake the repair, under warranty, a job that Lowdhams was supposed to be undertaking. Hind sight is a wonderful thing. I will never be using them again and i would avoid Sunlight campervans as the build quality is awful.
Since posting this review I have been contacted by Lowdhams, not to apologise though and see if they could help improve my experience but to try and justify the timeline of my issues. Some one desperately needs some training in after sale service and customer care.
Well done for attempting an apology, I should have had one before I issued you a one star review though. You really need some training for your staff, the last young lady I spoke with was outright rude and had no empathy for my issue or the point I was trying to make.
Please try harder to look after your clients when they have problems.
