This chatbot they have is terrible. It looked really impressive when it found the sounds in a sound bite and then snipped the sound I was looking for. Then said it would start creating a lip sync video. It non-stop created the same useless loop video that did nothing at all over and over and over until it used up all of my credits in a single session. I wrote and asked for help and I got an auto reply that it can take up to 72 hours to get a reply. It's been 10 days and they have done nothing at all. They haven't even replied back. And all the images and videos I made before the update? Gone. They will not get any more of my money. They are very shady.It's a shame I can't post a screenshot of what they did here.

Gemini created a prompt for Luma to create an extremely simple visual of a hand opening a letter. It never produced a single visual. Kept apologizing and then asking if I wanted it to create the visual. Then.. My credits have all been used. Water an hour of my life on this garbage

So many specific prompts with so many useless attempts at a video creation that should have been easy. Signed up for a one month subscription and the AI purposely gives terrible results which burn up your credits and waste your time. Spent 5 hours today and spent $50 AUD for absolutely nothing then the site keeps prompting you to spend more $$$ on more useless credits to use an AI that can't even follow the most basic prompts. AVOID!!!

awful. 80% of gens are useless drifting videos. they charge for credits when your gens dont even work. it often stalls for a long time after you type in a prompt and comes out with nothing, just a black screen. Not renewing -wasted 1 year cost of subscription.

Not possible to contact support! No reply for almost a month from the 18th of March. Paid subscription and can't use it for a month. Not possible to find information how many credits have been used. I mean, are there anybody in this company even working? Or it's just AI agents support with lots of errors, as we can see the worst feedback everywhere, and requests asking to cancel their subscriptions..

Subscribed to their 30 dollar subscription by mistake (I thought it would give more credits than expected), I contacted support for a potential refund.

Auto reply answered: there's a lot of people contacting support so the response may be delayed to 48-72 hours.

It's been 2 weeks, and even after a follow up attempt by me, still no response.

Hvad der gik galt:

Platformen lovede fra start at det ikke var noget problem — det var det.
AI-værktøjerne ændrede konstant stolens design (stirrups, armlæn, hovedstøtte morphede) trods gentagne instrukser om at stolen IKKE måtte ændres.
Der blev forsøgt mindst 6-7 forskellige tilgange over flere timer, ingen leverede et brugbart resultat.
Baggrunde skiftede tilfældigt mellem hvidt studie og salonmiljø.
Stitchede klip var usammenhængende og uprofessionelle.
Først efter talrige fejlslagne forsøg blev vi informeret om at det var en teknisk begrænsning — det burde have været kommunikeret fra starten.
Hovedkritik: Platformen bør være ærlig om hvad AI-videogenerering kan og ikke kan, i stedet for at bruge kundens tid og penge på at finde ud af det undervejs. En simpel melding tidligt i processen — "dette produkt er for mekanisk komplekst til en AI-rotation" — havde sparet os for en hel dags frustration.

Do not waste your money ($30). I subscribed to Luma AI and my entire balance of 10,000 credits was wiped out after generating only TWO 5-second videos. The interface uses deceptive design (dark patterns) without warning users about high credit consumption (HDR/Ray 3 settings). Customer service is absolute zero; it has been days and no one has replied. An "AI" company that doesn't even have automated support for billing issues is a joke. Tools like CapCut are far superior, cheaper, and actually care about their users. I am initiating a chargeback through my Canadian bank for deceptive pricing. Avoid this platform at all costs.

I will escalate this matter to the relevant authorities and take legal action to recover my payment.
I do NOT recommend this to anyone. This is absolutely a terrible and unacceptable service.

I paid for a subscription, and after my paid credits were exhausted, I have been kept waiting in the queue for over THREE DAYS with absolutely no progress.

There has been no output, no updates, and no service provided at all.

I paid for this service, and I received nothing in return.

This is completely unacceptable.

I am requesting a FULL REFUND immediately.

If this issue is not resolved, I will proceed with a chargeback and take further action.

Ignoring my mails concerning my PAID subscription but not getting any credits.

I signed up for Luma's free trial to test the service, but I cancelled the subscription shortly afterwards because the platform did not meet my expectations. I also closed my account to make sure there would be no further charges.

Despite this, today Luma attempted to take a monthly payment from my card. The payment did not go through only because there were no funds in the account at the time. This is extremely concerning, as the subscription had already been cancelled and the account closed.

Trying to charge a customer after cancellation is unacceptable and creates serious trust issues. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when signing up and to monitor their payment methods carefully after cancelling.

Very disappointing experience overall.

I tried Luma AI with high expectations, especially since I wanted to participate in their contest and produce a commercial to present at the Cannes Festival. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.

To be honest, the platform is simply unable to generate what you ask for. Even with detailed prompts and multiple attempts, the results are inconsistent and far below the level expected from modern AI video generation tools.

Luma is years behind tools like Veo 3, Kling, and Seedance. Those models can produce coherent scenes with minimal prompting — sometimes just from a single reference image — while Luma struggles with the basics.

The issues are constant:

* Characters are not consistent from shot to shot
* The cinematic style constantly changes
* Lighting and atmosphere shift randomly
* The overall artistic direction is unpredictable

Even when trying to heavily guide the model, it cannot maintain visual consistency across scenes. For a platform that is supposed to help create video content, this is a major flaw.

The interface doesn’t help either. The platform is not intuitive and feels immature and poorly designed. Instead of focusing on creating, you spend most of your time trying to fix errors or regenerate unusable outputs.

Honestly, with this level of quality, it’s hard to imagine using Luma for any serious project — let alone for a commercial meant for something like the Cannes Festival.

At this point, the platform simply offers no real value compared to far more advanced competitors.

Cant even generate a video without usage limits dont use.

Absolutely terrible. I literally wasted my money on this crap, and the generations on ray 3.14 are hideous!

I subscribed to the Pro version of Luma Labs after initially achieving promising results with the free trial. Unfortunately, my experience with the paid plan has been extremely disappointing.

For a single project, I spent over 7,000 credits without obtaining a single presentable clip. The results were technically unstable, filled with strong artifacts, unwanted lighting effects, severe distortions, and uncontrolled visual errors (e.g., halo effects, exaggerated particle motion, unnatural smoke interpretation).

It was particularly frustrating that identical prompts and identical image setups that worked for other users repeatedly produced completely unusable results in my case. Even multiple attempts with the same settings led to highly inconsistent output quality.

It gives the impression that the engine is extremely seed-dependent and lacks consistent reproducibility. For a professional, paid product operating on a credit-based system, this is highly problematic—especially when credits are consumed so quickly.

I also had the impression that the free trial version generated more stable clips than the paid Pro version, which further calls the price-performance ratio into question.

After consuming thousands of credits without receiving a single usable result, I expect at least a response from support as well as a fair review of a possible credit refund. In its current state, I cannot recommend the Pro subscription.

No doubt the worst AI video tool I've used. Even with long text explainers and visual storyboards, the program cannot even come close to generating content as described. A complete waste of time and money. Avoid it.

They SUCKS. DON'T EVER PAY THEM. their model fail to generate anything ALL THE TIME and they never respond to my refund emil.

Terrible company and terrible employees. Shortly after rendering one aI video, I decided that this platform was not for me and that is okay. I reached out for a refund and the customer service agent named Chris asked and stated I can get a refund but to let him know if there's anything I need help with in terms of the ai. I asked him for help and I told him the issue that I was having with it and then they completely ghosted me . He never replied I sent multiple emails back asking hey can you help me out on this thank you for offering and completely ghosted. Two weeks later I finally get a reply back from somebody else after messaging a new email and now they won't refund me because too many credits were used when they were the ones that told me to continue using it as they wanted to help at the same time saying that they could refund me as well! Completely deceptive these guys are terrible people and the AI as a product is one of the worst rated ones in my opinion after using so many. There's so many better AI guys, don't use this one.
