Not happy w/ this unit and would recommend purchasing another brand. First, the unit came w/ a battery that promptly stopped working after about 2 minutes. So I guess the company thought they could increase their profit margin by reusing batteries or something like that but instead it makes the customer feel like they weren't worth the $2 to receive a new, fresh battery that actually worked. I couldn't immediately use the product until I could go out and purchase the required battery, so that caused a delay (and frustration on my part.)

Then, after I did the sleep test, I could find NO information on how I would get the results of the sleep test. I searched for HOURS. All the information the company puts out about the product is geared towards selling you the unit but once that part is done, the company seems to have little interest in ensuring purchasers can actually use the product and get the results they paid for. I still have not found any information that explains to me how I will get the sleep test results (I'm still waiting for customer service to respond to my inquiry) so it appears I spent almost $300 on a product from a company that, once it gets your money for the product, doesn't seem to give a damn if you get anything from it. Even if someone eventually contacts me to explain how I can get the results from the sleep test, I'm so frustrated from the hours I spent looking for this info. that it is NOT worth the frustration.

i would suggest NOT purchasing this item for the reasons stated above. No one wants to spend their time frustrated and that seems to be all I have gotten out of the product so far. Avoid purchasing this sleep test - it's a waste of your time.

Easy to do the test

Easy to do the test. I had a previous sleep study in a hospital setting which was inconclusive and they wanted me to do another in-hospital test. I personally decided to do a through Lunella instead - and it confirmed sleep apnea and was able to sleep in my own bed for the test. I've now had a machine for a month now and sleep like a baby!

Called to get information about the at home disposable sleep study equipment. Customer service rep listened and responded in an empathetic and patient manner to my many questions. Excellent customer service. Since I have not tried the product yet, I only gave it 4 stars. Will update my review after conducting the sleep study and getting results back.

Very Disappointed, Beware....

I purchased the sleep test after doing the online assessment. The charge to my account was immediate with a confirmation email. The test arrived in two days (all good). Completed the test, which went very well, easy to do and uploaded results. Then the fun begins. I received my results, which seemed thorough. I was informed I had sleep apnea. MISSING was the prescription which says will be included as the results are certified and signed by a doctor. I called and they told me there should have been a page 5 which is the prescription. I looked and downloaded again. The agent told me it must have been an error and she would resend. The next file did come but NO PRESCRIPTION. Called again and the agent stated she would reach out to her supervisor and let me know. After a couple calls back and forth I was told the prescription was not there because my results were too high, even though there are testimonials on their site which had someone much higher who was satisfied?? I was then told I could take the results to my personal physician for a prescription or pay $99 to speak with their physician and get a prescription. No where on the website does it say you have to go to another Dr. for follow up and to get a prescription. Overall I am extremely disappointed. I lost a great deal of money and have no prescription to order a CPAP which they state is a solution for a positive sleep apnea diagnosis. If I had the option again I would not go with Lunella.

Horrible

Horrible. Test results were lost and I had to call 3x to get a report.
Had my Board Certified Sleep MD review and he laughed at the interpretation.
What a waste of $$$.
Then you had a subcontractor call me and try to sell me something at 0600 my time (good timing for someone that has little sleep) that was not even recommended via my report. I don't need a cPap unit via your report. However, the report is trending on malpractice according to my MD as it did not discuss my REM sleep disorder.
I will not recommend your company to anyone!!!!

Similar to other stories on here. My insurance said they would cover this if I got a Certificate of Medical Necessity from the Dr who wrote the prescription.

You guessed it!!!! She wouldn't sign the form without a consultation..
Read MORE MONEY HERE!!!

Useless report unless I want to pay out of pocket for device.

Extraordinarily quick turnaround. Very detailed report. Highly recommended.

Ordered my test on Tuesday evening, test arrived Thursday and I did it Thursday night. Uploaded the results on Friday morning and got my results and Prescription on Saturday morning. Couldn't be more pleased. I received a very thorough test report and diagnosis showing sleep position and duration, blood oxygen levels, pulse rate, etc. The test was easy and non intrusive. I highly recommend Lunella.

I have not received my results in over a week!! I have called three times only to be told they would put in a ticket to get me my results. I want a refund!!!!

Home sleep test was easy

Home sleep test was easy. However I am disappointed in the lack of response by PWN Health to my inquires for report with doctor's notes and contact information of my virtual office visit prior to my home sleep test. Not sure that Lunella should be using PWM Health anymore.

FRAUDULENT. Read my review all the way to the end.

First of all, for four hundred bucks, I expect a battery that isn't dead. Luckily I had another AAA battery in the house, or I'd have been pretty ticked off.

I started the WatchPat app on my phone and followed all the steps to attach the device. I then got into bed to read. I incorrectly assumed that the app would keep recording until I got out of bed and tapped the "Stop Recording" button. Turns out that once you hook everything up, the thing records for a limited amount of time--maybe 8 hours? I'm not even sure, because when I woke up and got out of bed about about 10 hours later (I always read for quite a while before falling asleep), the app had stopped and there was a message on it about how my data had already been transmitted. I was not aware of this limited time window, because if I had been, I'd have waited until I was ready to fall asleep.

I waited a week and didn't hear anything from Lunella. I finally called them and asked when I'd hear about my results and diagnosis. The woman who helped me, who was very pleasant, couldn't find my results and I was sure that would be the beginning of a months-long hassle getting my money back, but she said she'd look into it and I'd hear from someone within 24 hours, and in fact I got my results via e-mail a couple of hours later. The charts and graphs confirmed that the device had indeed recorded mostly when I was awake and reading. I think it got enough of some actual sleep to make a decent diagnosis, but I would have preferred re-doing the test since I felt cheated by not knowing the app would 1) start before I wanted it to and 2) send my data and shut off before I woke up.

When I got my analysis, my last name was misspelled on the attached prescription and I needed to request a corrected version. The e-mail I sent to the support e-mail address that is prominently displayed on their website bounced. A message sent to the return e-mail address that mailed the report went unanswered. Two days of silence later, I called them again to request the prescription and the woman I spoke with was not nearly as pleasant as the one from my first experience. I told her that "you" (meaning Lunella...DUH) misspelled my name on my prescription, and that "you" need to send me another one. She unloaded a crapload of attitude on me, saying emphatically that "*I* didn't misspell anything! The *doctor* spelled your name wrong!" Really? We have to do it this way? After a few choice words back in her ear, she switched to that tone that people use when they're placating you long enough to get you off the phone. Really, how hard was it to look at my account and spell my name right in the first place? How hard was it to apologize and just send the thing again?

The next morning, I received what was supposed to be a second report that had a name correction on the prescription. When I downloaded it, it turned out to be a zipped (compressed) file of more than 100 PDFs. Maybe there were reports for strangers in there in addition to mine...I don't know. I found mine and my last name was STILL misspelled on the prescription. I called AGAIN and the person I spoke with said her supervisor "was in a meeting" and had to call me back. I received the third version about 24 hours later, and it was still wrong--AND it was again sent in a zipped file of hundreds of PDFs. I give up.

Overall, I expected much better communication and much better customer service for the amount of money I spent. Their proactivity is poor. An e-mail confirming that they'd received my data and explaining next steps would have been the least they could have done. Never got any information regarding where/how to purchase a CPAP machine. A follow-up thanking me for my business would have been a nice touch as well, but I never heard a peep from them again. And the hassle with trying (and failing) to get a simple typo corrected? Inexcusable.

Would I do this again? Absolutely not. I chose the home test to save time and ended up dealing with problems for days! It would have been faster to go to a sleep clinic. I do not recommend Lunella.

HORRIFYING update. Blue Cross Blue Shield refused to pay for this. They need a ton more information than what is provided on the resulting study/prescription. I contacted the "doctor" that did the review of my data, Jamila Battle in Raleigh, North Carolina. She refused to provide any information for the data review and consultation THAT RESULTED IN A PRESCRIPTION FOR A CPAP MACHINE without my making a second "consultation" appointment, which is AN ADDITIONAL $300. Essentially, she is withholding information I need for billing a service SHE ALREADY PROVIDED until I give her more money. There's a word for that: extortion. I am in the process of reporting Jamila Battle MD to the North Carolina Medical Board for fraud.

STAY AWAY FROM LUNELLA. This is clearly a scam.
