Attended an eye test this morning in your Portadown branch. Elaine and Rachel were outstanding. Made me feel at ease as this is my first time with Mackeys.
When it came to choosing frames, the choice was unreal.
So many to choose from and all at affordable prices including designer frames.
Rachel helped me decide on frames that I totally loved the look of and size. It wasn’t until I put my other glasses on that I realised I’d picked a pair of frames with th Breast Cancer pink bow. It was definitely meant to be as I’m a survivor of Breast cancer and currently on treatment for the next few years.
Girls are friendly, sensitive, kind and very down to earth which I loved. Can’t wait to collect my new frames and I’ll be telling everyone to shop here in this family run buisness.

Very helpful friendly staff, absolutely brilliant with children as well. Eye test and glasses are very fairly priced and they have a fantastic selection of glasses.

Everyone was very professional and welcoming. Felt very comfortable with no pressure at all.

We took our 3-year-old for her very first eye test at Mackeys Opticians and had such a positive experience. Rachel and Aaron were absolutely brilliant — so patient, kind and reassuring, and they really put her at ease. They handled everything so well and made what could have been a daunting visit feel calm and friendly. We’re very grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Have filled the form at 8:00 am, 8:45 am call has been received and appointment has been scheduled at 10:00. I have seen Dr McCartney and i can not thank him enough for his approach and professionalism. I have been given all the information about my condition, all has been explained to me perfectly. Ciara and Rachel are always so pleasant on each visit. They are calm and patient when my children are trying to choose glasses. We have been attending Mackeys for year now and have always had a nice experience with these girls.

My son have been going to Mackey Opticians for several years, 1st time with Optician Aaron, he was very good, give lots of info to my son about his eyes and explained his eye condition thoroughly.

Mackeys offer a truly personal experience. I have most recently dealt with Jenny who sorted prescription sunglass lenses for an old pair of frames I had, which was a super experience. Chris and Rachel have helped before and always been super helpful. Andrew is also an excellent optician, very knowledgeable, friendly and great to speak to. All round great team in the Church Lane branch.

The staff at the Ormeau Rd store were so incredibly helpful and professional. The optician Sorcha was very thorough and explained everything very well. And Sharon’s attention to detail and knowledge of the products is exceptional and her advice helped me choose frames that I absolutely love. I highly recommend.

Got some new glasses for Xmas from Rachel. She’s the best, very accommodating and couldn’t recommend the service anymore, wouldn’t go anywhere else to buy my glasses

I went and got myself and my sons eyes tested, my son was super nervous about maybe having to get glasses the girls put him at ease and were so lovely, when it came for me to picking my frames, I tried frames on over and over but this wasn't to much as Rachel wanted to make sure id pick the right fit for me she picked out frames that I loved. Nothing was too much for these girls. Thank you so much to Racheal and Elaine at mackey opticians.

My daughters has been attending Portadown Mackey Opticians for years and the girls Ciara, Rachel and Elaine always go above and beyond in helping the girls with their prescription glasses, nothing is ever a hassle. They are all so lovely. Can't wait to see their new premises in portadown.

Great experience here with my kids. I've 4 kids and all have had eye tests with Mackey Opticians. The staff have been so good with the kids over the years. My kids require a lot of patience and the staff have been so good.
There's been a change to temporary premises but new place on the way.
Have never been to another optician to compare because we've never felt the need to.

Attended Church Lane Branch for headaches. Received an eye test from Richard Mackey. Can't recommend the service enough, knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Many thanks to Lorena who provided a warm atmosphere and Fiona who helped me choose my first pair of glasses. Thanks again

Rachel was beautiful! She provided an excellent service warm and friendly and definitely would be someone who I would buy from again.

Both the optician and receptionist treated my elderly Mother and Father with the utmost care and respect. Thorough eye tests and help with picking frames. Highly recommend.

I returned to the Portadown branch this week for an eye test knowing that I was need of new lenses. My check up with Aaron was great and he kept me informed throughout. Rachel and Ciara certainly know their frames and expertly found me the perfect pair of glasses. Their knowledge and helpfulness is invaluable. From start to finish, client service was first class.
